Showed up on date promised, worked till dark, and completed the job in 2 days. Very diligent about cleaning up as well. Great price and service.

How did it go overall? FANTASTIC!

Even though the house only had a single layer of shingles, I felt strongly about having the asphalt removed because the house was a foreclosure property and had many roof leaks of questionable origin. I wanted the best chance at detecting any underlying issues. I was hesitant about going with a corrugated metal roof, but the standing seam was way out of our price range (two individual quotes for $25,000 each, without stripping the existing roof), and having owned two other houses with ice damming issues I really wanted to try a metal roof. Mark provided me with multiple properties to drive by and phone numbers to call. He gave me one house to look at that had similar valleys to our house, and it gave me a much better idea of how our house would look. He was extremely polite and professional during the entire process. He was able to come out quickly and provide a quote, and when I had some follow-up questions about all of the rotten fascia our house had, he came back for more discussion. I had multiple questions and Mark was very patient and provided honest answers. I am working with another contractor who is very picky and a perfectionist, and Mark even met with him and answered all of his questions as well. Once we decided to move forward with the job, Mark and his crew were in quickly and completed the job within a week. The roof has several sections, and two valleys where the attached garage joins the house. I had assumed it would take much longer, because there were several sections with rotten wood, gutters had to come off, etc.. I was there during the first morning and enjoyed watching Mark and his crew work - they were fast, but careful and like a well-oiled machine. We couldn't be happier with the end product - the roof looks amazing. We were up last weekend and kept walking around the house looking at it from every angle. The valleys look great, and repaired trim/fascia was very well done. I also worried about the extra cost of the plywood and trim Mark and his crew needed to use, but Mark kept the extra cost very low, which was much appreciated. His crew did a great job cleaning up as well - the site was raked clean and was actually nicer than they found it. Having installed a roof on another house before, after the job was done I had told my children they could have a dollar for every nail they found in the driveway - neither made any money! Overall, it was a great experience. A final comment I would offer is that, as a woman taking on a major renovation project, I appreciated Mark's professionalism and respect. In this day and age when I meet with contractors some actually still say "is there a time when I could meet with your husband?" Mark was straightforward and professional during the entire process - overall just a great guy to work with. I would highly recommend Garon-teed roofing.

I emailed for an estimate, Mark cam eand provided estimate the same day via emial, however I chose another company.

Mark Garoa, the owner of roofing company, came over to discuss what needed to be done, offered me to fix my roof instead of putting a new roof on. Saved us at lease 14,000, next day his crew, did an excellent job, as promised.

Mark returned my call that day. He was on site in two days and called me from the roof so we could discuss what he had found! He had a written fax estimate to me the next day. He doesn't seem to have the ability to quickly generate quotes via smart devices. I will take old fashion quote with quality work any day, we just need to get him a techie

Mark came right out, gave us an estimate and performed the work quickly and efficiently. Better yet Mark called us 3 weeks later after a heavy rainstorm to make sure the repairs held up. He gave us a very competitive bid to replace our 23 year old roof and we will be using him as soon as we are ready. Would highly recommend Mark.

Our house was built in 1976 and had clapboard siding. We added a 24 x 24 attached garage in 2000. Despite staining the complete house every 5 to 6 years, the siding was severely cracked and split, particularly on the south and west facing sides. We had the roof re-done in the mid 90's. A second layer of shingles was added rather than stripping the roof. We decided to get three estimates. Two of the contractors were listed on Angie's List. Both had top ratings and good reviews. We also checked the BBB and both have A+ ratings. The third contractor was recommended by a neighbor who had a roof re-shingled and was satisfied with the work. All three contractors were quick to respond to out request for an estimate. Mark from Garon-Teed roofing came when promised,and came after 5:30 in the afternoon when we get home from work. All three persons who gave estimates were prompt and personable. I suppose that is part of the job description when you run a service business. Two of the three estimates were within $2500 of each other. The contractor who wasn't on Angie's List was about $10,000 higher. I suspect they were going to sub-contract the siding work as they seemed to specialize in roofing. The deciding factor in hiring Garon-Teed roofing was they asked for no payment until the job was completed. The other contractor on Angie's List wanted 50% down. Mark and his crew of four showed up on time. Aside from some rainy days they worked about 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. They spread tarps to catch the old shingles and cleaned up after themselves each day. They brought in a large dumpster and filled it faithfully. They also covered up their unused material and tools each evening. Mark went out of his way to make sure everything was done just right. He seems to be a bit of a perfectionist. One example was after the garage was re-sided, Mark commented on the ripped weather stripping around the garage doors. He offered to replace it at no extra cost if I provided the material. I gladly did so. Mark also installed the new lights we bought for our front and porch door. That wasn't in the contract and I expected to do that myself. I should add that we had a bit of mis-communication about the gutters. We mentioned it during the walk through for the estimate. We didn't notice it wasn't included in the contract. After all the roofing and siding was completed we noticed no gutters were installed. We informed Mark and he graciously offered to do the gutters for basically the cost of the material. We would definitely hire Garon-teed roofing again if needed, and highly recommend Mark and his crew to others.

I just had a roof replaced with Garon-Teed roofing. Mark the owner is great to work with, his crew is hard working and did a terrific job. The entire experience was painless. I called the company on 5/1 and left a message, within two minutes I get a call back from Mark. We set up a date for the estimate for 2 days later. Mark looked over the job, we discussed different shingle manufacturer features, he made a great suggestion to paint the drip edge of the existing roof to match the new roof line.. He gives me the competitive quote and I mentioned I need the roof done before a graduation party. He said he would have to juggle some things around but would try to hit the date, but promised to have the roof done no later than the end of May. During the job Mark is at the jobsite, I watched his crew in action, Mark kept me informed of his plans. Each morning my wife on her way to work would see the crew setting up, when she returned there was a new roof section and the area was very clean as if no one was ever there. Mark did me a favor by spray painting the top/sides of the metal chimney cap that was a rusting eyesore. Overall experience was GREAT, Mark and this crew is very accommodating.

My roof was leaking in vicinity of the chimney. I used RoofingNetworks.com to log a work order and received a call from Mark in less than ten minutes. He dispatched a tech to my house and arrived an hour after our initial call. The tech quickly identified the problem and took to the time to show and explain to me the problem and the repair he was going to perform. The work was completed in fifteen minutes and again, he took the time to show me the work he had done.

Everything was great. I bought a house in a new neighborhood so I went on to Angie's List and called this company. They came in and showed me all their products. When they came to do the work, they were here when they were supposed to be here, and did the roof all in one day, and cleaned up and I was quite happy with them actually. They had a decent price and a good product and were very professional. I would use them again in the future.

Working with Mark was wonderful. He was always quick to respond to every single phone call and always in a professional manner. What we appreciated most was how he always kept us update on any schedules or delays. And in the end, got our new roof installed earlier than anticipated. Just one week before the October storm that dumped 23 in. of snow on us! :-). His crew of workers were very skilled, fast, and friendly. I would recommend Mark Garon to any one needing any kind of roof work.

I first met Mark Garon and his crew back in February. I had ice dams and water pouring in through both my bay window and front entry door and had rung a friend for advice. She recommended Garon-teed Roofing to me, to come clear the snow. She herself had previously had Mark's roofing company recommended to her by a mutual friend who was very happy with a roof install. Despite ringing minutes before end of work day, and the fact that Mark's agenda was full until the following week, once I mentioned I had water pouring in the house he promised to come by and clear the roof of snow the following day. To cut a long story short, he arrived at 8am the following day with his crew. I consider that to be excellent service!! I paid $350 for 3 hours of extremely hard work and clear up, and think that every dollar was very well earned. On the back of that experience and knowing that our old roof needed replacing I asked Mark for a quote to replace our roof. We decided to ditch our old gutters, build soffits onto our original roof ( contractor recommended to us by Mark who also did an excellent job, but of course at additional cost) and delay the job somewhat until summer, as apparently the heat of summer helps everything 'to adhere' and reinforce water tightness. I was quoted $5700 for the replacement roof. The job was completed today and the whole process including soffit build went very, very smoothly. No mess, no damage, in fact only the new roof stands testament that I have actually had contractors on my property the last couple of days. To sum up, i would recommend this company 100%. The price I feel was excellent, and honest. Mark as the owner, was exceptional. He co-ordinated the whole process of getting the soffits built with another contractor with very little involvement from me. If I had a problem or question he responded immediately with a solution. No hanging around waiting for phone calls or answers. A professional boss definitely leads a professional crew, and his guys were a friendly, respectful bunch who tackled the job with great efficiency and minimal disruption to me. I am overall very, very happy with my new roof, and, with my new soffits, 6 feet of Ice and Water Shield plus brand new fancy shingles, have my fingers crossed for a dry dining room next winter!
