I think the other reviewer was a bit harsh. Alexa has cleaned my home for two and a half years and, as such, I've seen her business grow. The other reviewer seems to not really understand the process of having a housecleaner. Sometimes it takes a little while to work out a system that works for you. Different people have different preferences. To have a good relationship with your housecleaner, you have to be clear about what you want. Alexa does what she is asked to, and well, but she isn't a mind reader. If they don't do something up to your expectations, you TELL them, and they FIX the problem. You don't write a hateful review. If you read between the lines of the other review, you will see that the WORK is excellent. That said, this is a BUSINESS. If you want to hire Alice from the Brady Bunch, then hire a full time maid and pay for it. Diamond Shine is a BUSINESS. Most of the time, I have the same cleaner. That cleaner is not my property, though. She's a lovely lady with a full life. She gets sick. She has other commitments. During those times, Alexa comes herself or sends someone else. No problem. That's how small businesses run sometimes. I, for one, prefer to be slightly flexible since I know that this is a business that hires people at a fair wage and treats them like humans. If that isn't important to you, hire a large service. You will get immigrants who are being exploited and being paid slave wages, if you can live with that. FWIW, I would prefer someone not come into my home when she's sick. I like the fact that Diamond Shine doesn't have a checklist of what they think needs cleaning. They tailor the service to what YOU want. For me, they pay special attention to the kitchen and the floors, as cleaning my floors is something I HATE. They leave my home office alone because I asked them to. Again, the key to a successful relationship is to develop that relationship. Treat them like a SERVICE, not like a SERVANT.

Wow! Thank you for such an honest review! We do try our best to keep our employee turnover rate low by paying fair wages and offering pages worth of incentives. That said, any cleaning business will have some turnover, especially when a need for a brand new crew arise such as with the rapid expansion my company is experience. It sometimes takes 2-3 tries to find someone who can meet the standards and some just realize cleaning is a little harder than they bargained for. From what I've seen so far, I often wonder if cleaning is a rocket science. A rocket science that I excel at simply because I love what I do, I value my clients and I value my employees. I treat everyone with professional respect and I will bend over backwards to make sure issues are resolved quickly and efficiently. I'm not afraid to jump in and do the job myself if something goes wrong. I consider a good portion of my clients friends. More than half of my clients have been with me for more than 4 years because we'll do what you need us to do, no policy quoting, no "We can't do that"s, no excuses. Our business is Listen, Accept, Apologize, Rectify. When we sit down for a quote, I write notes and we come up with YOUR plan. Not what *I* think it should be, but what *YOU* want and we tailor the cleaning and the price to *your* needs! Thank you again [member name removed], it has been a pleasure working for you since even before the expansion began! I miss our chit chats!

We had hired Alexa to clean our home weekly for approximately 4 months. We had found her under a Craigslist posting and she was very eager for our business. In the beginning, she made lots of promises about us being satisfied. She said she was trying to grow the business so she seemed to always have an excuse as to why she needed to change a date or time. We tried to accommodate her as much as we could being mindful of her desire to grow. After the first few times she did not show up anymore, but rather had her employee show up. Honestly it was fine with us that she did not show up because her employee (Aracelly) did a better job than her and was more pleasant (in our opinion). Approximately 3 months after we hired Alexa (the Grimebusters of NH) we took a family vacation and did not need her for a week. When discussing the cleaning schedule following vacation, she told my wife she needed to do more work the following week which cost more money. My wife told her that would be unnecessary because no one was home and the house was still clean . This upset Alexa and she told my wife she could not work for us anymore. Additionally, she sent disconcerting emails. Another problem was that she insisted we pay for a "spring cleaning" in the fall. So when we inquired about the "spring cleaning" we were told she would be here in April as discussed. When my wife sent an e-mail (in April) asking about the cleaning date, she received a curt e-mail stating that "we are not going to make it there..." She stated that she would send a refund. It took almost 3 months to receive this and it took a threat of small claims court. This is not the kind of individual I want to do business with. I would recommend calling all references when dealing with her new company as it is the same owner. Why did she change names?

Hi There, [member name removed]. I am sorry that you felt like you were mistreated, however, I really need to clarify a few things. When I began working for you, I had just hired Aracelly. [member name removed] was concerned about the price, so we spent almost 8 weeks trying to find a suitable timefame and weekly cope of work to meet your financial needs. After Aracelly was fully trained, I did indeed step back, as is my job as a business owner, in order to concentrate on advertisement, correspondence and the training of a new crew. After about 6 weeks of Aracelly cleaning for you, Aracelly reported to me that she was no longer comfortable working for you. Her reasons were that she felt as though comments made to her were rude bordering on racist to her peurto rican heritage. She was also there more than an hour longer than agreed in the price because every week there were changes to the agreed upon methods. I emailed and explained, in honest truth, the situation, and any clients are welcome to read the emails to which I have copies of. I terminated services to the [member name removed] family. About a week later, and I have the recorded voicemail and conversation, [member name removed] tried to extort $250 out of DSCS by threatening to slander my company on every known website, knowing I am a newly incorporated company and his slander would harm my family. What he didn't expect was my refusal to submit. I reimbursed the [member name removed] family for the spring clean they had paid for ahead of time and also offered a partial reimbursement of the last cleaning they had had before Aracelly came to me with her refusal to return to this clients home. I protect my employees of all nationalities, all colors, races, sex and sexual orientation. I will not force my employees to work under stressful and demeaning conditions. For those who wish to see proof of my statements, I have copies of emails, recordings of conversations and I am sure Aracelly will speak of her mistreatment in the [member name removed] home. For the [member name removed], I really am sorry that the situation that came to an end in such a manner. I terminated your services for the reason that no one wanted to return to your home. We tried to work with all your changes, last minute requests, changes and additions to the already tight schedule of meeting your low price. I cannot force an employee who was unhappy to return to your home to clean. My employees are my business and if they are not happy, quality work they will not provide.
