Description of Work: We called the company for an estimate on wiring the house for a portable generator. The owner came out to evaluate the situation. He told us he would get back to us with an estimate. Waited 2 weeks no call. We called him and he said he had forgotten about us but would get back to us with the estimate. It is now another 10days with no call back. Very unprofessional! If he didn't want to do the job he should have just told us that.

Description of Work: They did a cloths Dryer outlet upgrade and a new garage outlet + circuit. They did a great job. Took them only a couple hours and i was very satisfied with the quality of work they did. Would definietly recommend theit services.

Description of Work: They replaced two fluorescent lighting fixtures in lower level. Very quick and efficient. Will hire them again for my electrical needs.

Description of Work: Cote is great! When they service my generator, they take extra trouble to clean it up, too! It's a small thing, but it shows their focus on doing things right. I will be a permanent customer!

Description of Work: Cote Electric provided me with an estimate that I ultimately did not choose to use for a recent electrical job. After "losing my message" for a few weeks, they responded that day to look over the job and prepare an estimate. However, they took three weeks to actually prepare an estimate after telling me it would be a few days. I had committed the job a day prior to receiving their estimate. There estimate was very competitive with the two others I received and they would have been in the running had they been timely.

Description of Work: cote's guy, i believe his name was chris, trouble shot a breaker that wouldn't reset. the problem was that in having some stucco work being done as siding they apparently stapled through a wire that was under the wood siding but outside of the insulation. chris was there fr a bit more than 3 hrs trying to rework a new way to by pass the shorted circuit. he did his best and then some but ultimately we're going to have to have this fixed in a different manner. my problem really lies in that this is a post and beam construction and the owner that built it in 1979 did most of it himself and when it came to electrical and plumbing he did a really lousy job! none the less i was very pleased with what chris had done. we'll be having cote electric here in january to do some rewiring

Description of Work: Electrical outlets went out. Then the furnace stopped. I called Cote in the afternoon and they sent an electrician the next morning. He diagnosed the problem very quickly; replaced the part that caused the problem, and double checked everything to be sure there was no other problem. Everything is still working fine a week + later. The young man was very professional, even putting on foot covers to keep my rugs clean.

Description of Work: Fabulous service. Brian, the electrician, was incredibly polite, professional, very pleasant and explained things as he went on. Our situation was a bit different. We had lost power in part of our upstairs. Sometimes the lights would come on and then be off after a few days and the outlets off - but only part of the electrical service in each room. In this case we really paid for Brian's brains. It was very complex to figure out and then simple to fix, but it took 9 hours over 2 days. Brian eventually determined that a wire had been chewed under that attic floor by vermin and was still drawing current, therefore a HUGE fire risk - a very probably fire risk. Instead of cutting up the entire attic floor, he shut the current off to that wire and called for an apprentice to come up. The money went into the incredible time it took for him and the apprentice to snake wire through a 234-year-old house, down the side of the chimney inside the house, and reconnect the good wire to the panel. They got most of the lights on the first day. Then they came out the following week and finished getting the rest of the lights on (no where near the same process), updated the bathroom outlets with GFI and installed a ceiling fan and installed a new outlet, also with GFI. What I really appreciated was Brian didn't just do the basics - get the lights on - and he didn't try to "upsell" me, but explained WHY updating two outlets with GFI was a good idea and how it would help in the future. Both apprentices were very nice and polite, shook hands, stated their names, and cleaned up and vacuumed messes. While I wish it hadn't turned into a 1,000 job, it is much cheaper to pay the money and have it fixed than to have the house burn down. I want Brian to come out in the fall to put in a Gen-Tram so we have a hookup for our generator. Yes, Brian, Earl has already put 3 boxes of rat poison down! We will keep it up every month from now on. Thank you again - Tina
