+ -1 moreWe have used Davis Rubbish removal for 6 years to haul our household garbage. The price for collection and service are a wonderful alternative to using the town disposal facility. Have not had an issue with missed pickup in any of the 6 years. My only complaints are 2: A)Doesn't take Credit Cards for payment....I have to mail a check. B) Never quite sure what day they are coming on a holiday week...not so important to me as our collection location is always available.
Description of Work: Picks up household garbage weekly.

+ -1 moreJohn Davis is the trash collector for the town of Madbury. In the ten months we have lived in town his service has been inconsistent. He routinely picks up after our scheduled pick up day leaving our barrels sitting outside for multiple days. Last week, he failed to pick up two barrels of recycling which sat outside until the following week. More importantly, he refused to return the three voice mail messages I left for him asking to have my barrels emptied. UPDATE: I have learned from the Town Selectman Chair that the Town of Madbury is billed directly for all of John Davis' "tipping charges" or dump fees. In other words, his service is subsidized by the Town of Madbury. Therefor I have changed his price rating to NA because I have no idea what the real costs of our trash collection are.
Description of Work: Curbside collection of trash and recycling.

+ -1 moreQuite well. Quick. Orderly. Fair. Honest. They're gone before you know it.
Description of Work: I got quotes of close to $200 to move a large water bed frame, and sofa bed and miscellaneous junk. He added only $20 dollars to my original estimated fee. Mr. Davis does the labor himself (he's a healthy man for his age-younger men can't do as much). He was very apologetic for being late, but in his business it's understandable. I'm sure my job held him up from another appt. He's worth using. I'll be calling him up a couple of times this year, no doubt.
