This was a "roller coaster ride" that Scott Degreenia helped us through each step of the way. His Company name : Twin State Glassworks is deceptive, as he can handle just about any aspect of house work/construction you would need done. He acts more as a working contractor, bringing in subcontractors to deal MORE EFFICIENTLY with work that is better done by some other professional: electrician; drywall specialist were tow others he brought in for our situation. The relationship with Scott began as a "hired contractor" through Lowe's for installation of 8 new windows. Five windows were installed as planned. THEN: the remaining three could NOT be installed, as a pervasive problem with dry rot on/around/under the first of those windows prevented installation. Scott was able to, and "moved heaven and earth" to deal with this problem for us. (Luckily, our Insurance covered Dry Rot Damage!) He made himself available the next morning to oversee the Insurance Adjustor's visit, and his input went a long way into convincing the Adjuster that it WAS hidden & therefore INSURED dry rot damage. The entire wall had to be demolished & rebuilt from inside out. Scott modified his whole work schedule to deal with our wall as a top priority, and the whole thing was dealt with within two to three weeks - despite weather issues that prevented outside work on several days during that period. He worked hard to ensure the walls (outside & inside walls both) came in close to, even somewhat under, the amount we got from the Insurance Company - without cutting any corners. We also had him install a new tin roof, as the roof seemed to be the major source of the dry rot damage in the first place. He also installed new front doors (storm & entry) as well as two replacement windows on either side of that door. The whole process went remarkably smoothly: material arrived on time, or as needed. The electrician & drywall sub-contractors he used were also first class. Scott also works with a "side-kick" who is a well qualified and knowledgeable carpenter/general construction man. The two make a great working team. Their almost daily presence outside (and outside was also the inside for quite a period of time until wall was rebuilt entirely) was non-invasive, respectful & they always did a great job of cleaning up after each day's work. We WILL be hiring Scott for some future work we have planned.
