We were thrilled to have the support of Mr. Garand and his team in rebuilding our bathroom after is suffered water and sewer damage. They did an excellent job for a very reasonable cost. They recommended materials and supplies which improved both the appearance and functionality of the room. He has a great network of support tradespeople who we were able to call on to work on other parts of the home. Mr. Garand and his team communicated honestly and routinely about what they were doing. They kept the work area clean and well organized. They worked with our schedule as much as possible. And, they helped us find some construction materials at a lower cost and of better quality than we could find on our own thanks to their connections. We plan to bring them back for more renovation.

Our experience with Pierre and his team at Peace of Mind was excellent. We spoke to a few contractors before this project; one gave us a basic quote without looking, another quoted a basic replacement of cabinetry and flooring without addressing some of the additional remodeling we wanted, and Pierre listened, then suggested additional changes to improve the space and design. He sat down with us to discuss each item and make sure we were happy, and met with us at the cabinet and granite showrooms to look at options. After looking at everything, we ended up going with exactly what he had suggested. The job took a bit longer than expected, 12 weeks versus 8 anticipated, but some of that may have been due to COVID related protocols and shortages. Pierre and his team were hard-working and efficient, and came on weekends on occasion to finish the job as fast as possible. It cost about 5% more than the original quote, but that seemed reasonable based on unexpected issues that came up when removing a wall. Pierre was amenable to absorbing some of the additional costs on his end, as well, which was appreciated. When we noticed small things after the project ended -- 6 inches of grout that were missed; insulation that hadn't been replaced from the HVAC work -- Pierre sent over his team to fix the issue within a few days. The end result looks fantastic, and is a major improvement over our old kitchen. The cabinets are beautiful, and the new lighting and flooring are fantastic. We are very satisfied with the result, and would absolutely use Peace of Mind again in the future.

Our rooms turned out lovely, The whole look is what we were hoping for even though we weren't really positive of some of the things we wanted when we started the process. Pierre was very helpful in making sure we understood the process and walked us through each stage. He and his crew were easy to work with. We were able to work with Pierre to make some changes/additions as we went through the process without any hiccups. Great communication! You send a text or make a call and you get a quick response. We LOVE our POM kitchen! After years of dreaming about a new kitchen, Pierre designed the perfect layout for our family. He combined our kitchen and living areas to create the most beautiful entertaining space. The vendors POM works with are top-notch. We went with specialty cabinets and the workmanship is amazing. The attention to detail was much-appreciated. We knew we were going with the BEST when we chose POM because Pierre remodeled our dining room several years ago. Prior to our kitchen remodel, the dining room was our favorite room in the house! You won't be sorry if you choose POM for your next project!

Pierre did a great job on my kitchen remodel . He came in under budget and the work was done on time . Great communication throughout the project . Pierre Garand was ready to get started but we had to delay the project. He fit us into his crowded schedule in the next month and finished the job rather quickly. The workmen were professional and neat. We are quite happy with the job.

I wanted my kitchen entirely redesigned, but I needed help with the final vision. Some builders are only able to do what you ask. Pierre was able to provided design ideas, color suggestions, samples, etc. He was able to build me a more beautiful kitchen than anything I could have designed. My new kitchen has a better layout, tile floor, granite countertop, sold wood cabinets, all new appliances, including a wall oven - something I always wanted, and a built-in granite bench area. The plumbing was upgraded as well as the lighting which is all energy efficient LED.

My mother was moving into my home and I needed to create a space for her on the first floor. Pierre helped with the design of a small apartment for her. He was able to take my original guest bathroom, living room, and dining room and turn that into a beautiful separate living area with a sitting room, bedroom, and bathroom with shower, and a new guest bathroom for me. He added details like crown moulding, a French door, tile in the bathroom, a blue granite bathroom counter and custom vanity to make it special for my mother. My new guest bathroom is also beautifully done with tile and granite. Pierre is meticulous with every detail, design, and color.

This project was large in scope as it impacted every room of our first floor and required multiple specialties (electrical, plumbing, plastering, masonry and of course carpentry). I went to Pierre Garand with many ideas and pictures which included a gas fireplace with a stone border and built-in cabinets, custom wainscoting, crown molding, a double barn door, tile, recessed lighting, and about 800 square feet of luxury vinyl plank flooring (most of which was to be installed in 3 rooms without a threshold). Walls, doors, floors and windows needed to be removed and/or replaced, bathrooms needed to be gutted, Each step of the way, Pierre was professional and patient, and often made suggestions that we went with, such as an 8 ft sliding door instead of 6 ft, a custom wainscoting border he designed in the bathroom, and the fireplace mantle design that he changed because he didn’t think the first version matched farmhouse style we were going for (plus many others). And in each case, his suggestions were absolutely perfect. Since this last project spanned four months, there were multiple issues that came up that needed quick decisions, but Pierre always ran all of these by us before moving on. One example was when there was water damage that required replacement of joists, framing and outside decking that we were not expecting. POM was able to repair and replace with minimal impact to our timeline or budget. In addition, because of the scope of the project, we did end up changing our minds on a few of the design ideas such as changing the fireplace border from a pre-fab stone that was fairly easy to install to natural stone which was much more difficult. Pierre admitted that he didn’t feel that his level of experience with this stone was sufficient and hired a mason to do the job (only charging us for the additional cost over what it would have taken him to do it) and it came out absolutely beautiful. Finally, since this was such a large project, we chose to take on the painting for the project ourselves, but Pierre suggested using his painter for the wainscoting and crown molding and it saved us an enormous amount of time and came out so much nicer than it would have if we had tried to do it. This project was large in scope, time-consuming and challenging, but working with POM was a pleasure and we truly enjoyed the experience and love the results. In summary, I would highly recommend Peace of Mind for any project you have in your home. Pierre is a highly skilled finish carpenter who is very detail-oriented and has an outstanding team of professionals who work for/with him. His prices are reasonable and he is very responsive. We have received numerous compliments on our home and have been asked who the contractor was because of the high quality work he does.

the porch looks awesome - the work was done with precision and quality, the scope of work was clearly defined and the craftsmanship far exceeded it. The porch is our primary method into the house and is used heavily and it's amazing now how much nicer and more functional it is now.

Being a local I have always heard great things about POM. Like most good contractors he had a very busy schedule. He was able to to come view the job at a very convenient time and we got it on the schedule. POM saw what I had as a vision and help make it a reality. POM cares about every little detail and was very thorough going through all of our plans to make sure that everything would be right. There were some details I wanted to over look myself and POM insisted on making sure all details were perfect. Like most homeowners our vision started to change as we saw the room come together and POM was nothing but patient and helped us work out what we wanted for a final look. It was a dining room project where we did a 4-piece crown molding with boxed wainscotings (a lot of detail). The whole room looks very elegant. We had a another contractor that was supposed to paint and it fell through. POM was glad to help out even though it was not originally part of the plan. The painting detail is perfect along with all the woodworking. At the end of every work day the POM crew does not skimp out on leaving. Knowing they are in someone else's home they treat like there own and leave it VERY clean. Even when we had sheetrock demo going on I swear the room was cleaner then when the project started. The POM crew takes a lot of pride in there projects from start to finish. They make sure you feel the same way too. I guess you could say they really did give me "peace of mind." Highly recommended!! POM was very professional and very detail oriented. Pierre wants the customer to be happy and provides suggestions to meet that goal. He took care of all of the details such as scheduling granite install and plumbing/electrical work and researching where to find matching custom cabinetry and ordering. It came out beautiful. Pierre and John were wonderful from the start. They met with me 3x before we began construction as I changed the plans several times. They were pleasant and easy to work with. When I arrived home each day, I could see that progress was being made in the bathroom. Pierre and Richard cleaned up beautifully at the end of work day. Communication was great and calls were returned promptly. I would absolutely use them again.

Pierre installed the tiles for my back splash in a competent and timely manner.

Project went very well. Pierre and team reconfigured my 1st floor bathroom to better fit my sons wheelchair. He redesigned the tub/shower to have a bench seat and redid the tub surround replacing it with Swanstone. He also replaced the vinyl floor with tile. All of it was very nicely done. Team was neat and responsive to our needs. We are very happy with the final product..........

Craftsmanship was excellent , they were clean and careful with their work. They come in on budget and did not skimp on the work if was not perfect they did it until it was. They add to add a wall for the new tub area and it look's great!

Prior to refinishing the floors, I had 4 damaged floorboards that needed replacement relatively quickly. I contacted Peace of Mind on Friday with my urgent request. They had 2 people there on Monday evening and replaced the floorboards in about 3 hours. They gave me a written quote in advance and did the work for the quoted price. I would recommend them to others.
