Nowak Landscape Construction built a front walkway and a raised patio with a retaining wall in our backyard. The build process was extremely well engineered, taking into account the unique slope of our property and ensuring every detail was perfect. Before the build the team consulted us on designs to incorporate the black accent pavers. They installed lights into the sitting wall that create a wonderful ambiance for nights by the fire. I can't thank them enough for the fantastic work from start to finish!

Hired Nowak to install a backyard patio. The patio looked great when it was first installed. Nowak told us that when he does a job he stands by the job. However, within a short period of time the patio pavers began to sink. Novak came out and threw some filler with resin between the pavers. This accomplished absolutely nothing as the patio continued to sink. We now have a patio with huge dips that cause water to pool and form large puddles. We reached out to him several times but he does not answer his phone and he will not return messages. We made it a point to stop by his booth at the home show the last 2 years. We asked about our patio and he promised he would be out to look at it within a week or two. Given that he is not true to his word he did not show up. We indicated that we are willing to pay for the repairs, but he obviously prefers the big payouts he gets for shotty work and has no interest putting in the labor necessary to fix or do the job right. His work looks good on the surface, but will soon fall apart. Today we went to the NH home show and were approaching the Nowak Landscape booth. As soon as he saw my wife and I heading in his direction he actually took off in an effort to avoid us. This guy is the biggest sleeze bag I have ever done business with in my life. I wish we spent our $6000+ with a more reputable contractor that would standby their work. Do yourself a favor and do not give this guy your money.

We had a really ugly stone retaining wall and sagging, unsafe block steps leading to our front door. We were on a tight budget, but knew the situation needed to be fixed. We had several estimates from other landscaping companies, but none of them really listened to what we really wanted - all wanted to add a "design element" that was not needed. Brian had the same vision we did - just a beautiful, sturdy wall and some solid granite steps. His price was really fair, the quality of work was awesome and completed on time, the worksite was clean and tidy when finished - you can't ask for more. I would recommend Brian and his crew in a heartbeat!

Brian the owner replaced the patio but it's crooked by 10 in.from one end to the other. From the Foundation and wanted to put a crooked granite step in to try to fix the problem.

First of all the quality of the materials were excellent.. The wall pavers and patio block are great, where things went bad was when the Owner Brian Nowak and his crew built one wall crooked and then had to cut numerous patio block do to one side not being square. You would think with the expertise they have that the mistake with the crooked wall would have been noticed by someone while they were building the patio but nope. Another problem is I was promised by the owner he would re-install the chain link fence correctly and if he didn't he would call Gate City fence to do it right but instead they just hung the fence on one of the fence poles. After multiple conversations prior to Thanksgiving of 2016 it was agreed upon that he would be back in the spring of 2017 to fix the patio and fence but of course after several emails and phone calls, I received no response back. Seems after that your nolonger a customer and service means nothing to him. I do still have some hope this will be worked out but if not then I hope at least by someone reading this review that they choose someone else that actually cares about the work and the customer..... Have you ever had a contractor yell at you? This was a first for me! Having shown up unannounced to complete some repairs to a job he "finished" earlier in the week, he left again without completing the repairs yelling about how much work this job had been. If he would have called in advance, my spouse could have been here to help point him toward the issue. I tried to help how I could, and then heard him swearing at me behind my back. Now we are left with a problem that did not exist prior to his arrival, an unhappy spouse, and mixed results on the final product. We chose this contractor because he seemed knowledgable and someone who would do a good job. During the work, we heard about how he made a good profit from certain jobs he comtracted. Apparently he wasn't making enough money off of our little job. Once on our job, he was frequently absent for personal issues, then blamed the work delays on our not being ready for his last-minute scheduling of our job. One of his crew members does a most excellent job at stonework. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the owner. We wish we could have hired that employee directly.
