We have used several folks in the building trades since purchasing our lil' round house in north woodstock nh in 2006 and each time we have been a bit disappointed with the quality of work. We have seen East Branch Builders homes and other construction projects over the years and always admired the craftsmanship and quality which exudes from their projects. For our porch project we decided that we wouldn't secure any other quotes for the job and only go with Jim Martin (East Branch Builders) and his crew. Jim provided us with some ideas on about the style of the porch based on our initial drawings. the porch was 7' X 24'. He gave us samples of materials to choose from and made sure that he went over each detail before proceeding. Jim and his crew showed up on Monday promptly at 7am and left every day promptly at 3pm leaving the area broom clean. Everyday he showed up and left the same way for 5 days straight. This was so refreshing since we've had builders that didnt' show up for several days and were never predictable. Jim was like clockwork. During the project there was an issue with the ceiling height and pitch that unfortunately I didn't really notice until the beams were all cut and in place. I mentioned to jim that I would like the pitch a little steeper which would require cutting the support posts only 3and quot;. I thought he'd have my head. But nope, he said it really wasn't a problem and he and Dave applied some ingenuity to cute the 6X6 hemlock posts without having to undo all that had already been done. They were amazing to watch and did the job with smiles on their faces. I love these guys. Jim isn't the cheapest guy in town but rest assured that his quality, attention to detail, customer service and everything else is well worth the slight premium he may put on his work. I would recommend East Branch Builders with ZERO reservation!

He builds energy efficient homes and regular building as well .Their quality of work was excellent. They finished on time and on budget. They were very good at the detail work as well as the general construction.
