MAKE A DIFFERENCE LANDSCAPING

Ian and his crew worked diligently to install a new retaining wall and walkway for my front yard. They worked through the torrential downpouring and cold weather to get it all completed before I got back from a business trip (I knew it was raining due to my view from my ring doorbell). Needless to say, everything turned out better than I could have asked for. I definitely would use The Difference Landscapes again, and I Strongly recommend them to anyone who needs some hardscaping done.

HORRIBLE WORK - FABRICATED INVOICING - INCOMPETENT OWNER (Greg) DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I unfortunately hired this clown-show and it was a disaster from the start. They have ZERO project management and oversight, ZERO accountability, and ZERO integrity! Not to mention the "work" they do is sub-par at best. 1. The employees threw their lunch and snack trash into my yard and tried to bury it as they worked. (My home office overlooks the work site and I saw and took pictures of everything). 2. They dumped scrap rebar, angle iron, random plastic, wires, broken glass and ceramic tile ... and my personal favorite, a child's shoe into my yard when they delivered "screened loam." 3. I had to explain to their workers the correct way to lay stone and allow them to use my tools because they didn't bring their own. 4. I had to re-do several of their contracted tasks myself because it was not done correctly ... but the CEO tried to charge me for work that I did, despite knowing they did it wrong. 5. One task was estimated to take 3-days at a cost of $4,100. The invoice showed the work was done in two-days, but the CEO still tried to charge me for three days of work, even when I pointed out the discrepancy to him. 6. On the same task, I was one of the people working because they were SO BEHIND schedule, yet the CEO still tried to charge me for work that I did. I have over 35 counts (physical and administrative) of documented errors made by this company, to include every single aspect of the final invoice being wrong. If you get STUCK with these clowns, take before-during-after pictures of the work/project, annotate what days people show up, how long they are there and what task they are working on; trust me, it will be worth your effort. The CEO freely admitted to me that they did not keep accurate records, yet he overcharged the sh-t out of me on the final invoice despite all of my proof otherwise. I'm shocked they are still in business...

Workers were very communicative; prompt and careful with existing plants. They also cleaned up well afterward. It remains to be seen how drain works in winter conditions and had some issue with a $50 charge I did not see buried in fine print (thought it should have been on page one with the cost summary), but drain looks great and lawn is coming back in decently (rain day after caused seed to collect in pools and I had to rake as best I could to spread). If drain works as expected, I would upgrade to 5 stars.

It didn't go. We couldn't get past the bidding process. It took weeks (and a reminder prompt from me) for their rep to respond to my initial request. I got a VM on my phone asking for my property address so they could do a drive by and formulate an estimate. I had to leave three separate voice mails with my contact info on their business line to get their rep to come to my home to give me a bid. Then, after I got a bid for a.) fall clean up and b.) "first" lawn mowing, I sent back my response to their office. I wanted the "first" mow, but declined the fall cleanup package. Surprise, surprise, a week later, I was asked to respond to their bid. Again! I re-sent my response to the office, which was apparently received, because they said they wouldn't do the "first" mow without signing an annual contract including fall cleanup for next year which totaled much more than their original estimate for lawn mowing alone. I feel like I was a.) ignored and b.) victim of a "bait and switch". If their service is as good as their sales pitch, I would NEVER use their services. In a way, I feel lucky that I didn't actually do business with this company.

Unfortunately amount of time needed and job was underestimated, but it was completed. I think he did the best he could. I was only there for the last 15-20 minutes and two guys were there but only one was actually working while other one stood around watching.

Make a Difference was prompt and professional. I would have hired them in a heartbeat but our job was last-minute and they were booked out. Their representative was knowledgeable and the only contractor who offered options and suggestions for improvements over what was already in place. They were not the least expensive quote I got, but they were not out of the ballpark and they were the only organization to exhibit a sense of aesthetics. I will definitely be keeping them in my rolodex.

Last fall they came out to regrade and loam which took a day. They came back this spring to hydro seed which was about a 2 hour job. I now also have them come out once a week to mow my lawn. couldn't be more happy

Great, they were super knowledgeable and help me have my dreams come true for my patio. I do a lot of hosting out side at my house. When make a difference landscaping came out they had everything all lined up ready to show and go over all the pro's and cons of the landscape light idea i was thinking about and they took notes on what i wanted and came back with the perfect landscape lighting for me and my guest.

The work was done on time and completed in a very professional manner. I had a couple of questions after work was completed and Nathan couldn't have been more helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to have this company back for additional work. This was a a relatively small job but it was given the same attention that the "big ones" receive.

Super. This company is always on time, always efficient, and always courteous. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

They are responsive, quick to schedule when we need them, they show up when they say they will. They communicate clearly what needs to get done, makes recommendations to keep everything in good shape- with accurate price estimates. They aren't pushy with sales, but are more than willing to help with anything we need. The work that is done is done correctly the first time. We have used them for years and years and would readily recommend them to neighbors and friends.

Excellent. We contacted Make a Difference to help out an employee who was unable to maintain their property at the time due to a health issue. Make A Difference went where no one else would go and did a fantastic job! Very accommodating, easy to work with and our employee was ever so grateful.

I've been using this company for a couple of years and I am extremely satisfied with their work.

They did a decent job, but they priced the job at 175.00, charged 240.00 Showed up before they were scheduled, had the job done by the time I arrived home. Claimed it was a bigger job than they thought, after they had priced it on-site. Would not be reasonable (no splitting the difference). There are enough honest people doing this kind of work, I would not hire them again.
