+ -1 moreThey came every day for a couple of weeks generally in the early evening and worked extremely hard. Because they did not have very much equipment, the removal of debris from the trees was difficult, and we ran out of time because it was our summer place and we needed to leave.
Description of Work: They came and took down 68 trees and hauled them away. They sold the wood in exchange for the work, so money did not change hands.

+ 0 moreBecause in our absence a tree had fallen on our garage and caused considerable damage, we realized that we needed to protect our seasonal home from other trees. We advertised for someone who would exchange the removal of the trees and all debris, for whatever moneys could be obtained from the sale of those trees. We developed the impression that these were extremely hard-working men who could be relied upon to hold to a contract. They work very quickly and would probably also be a good bet for any type of carpentry work.
Description of Work: Warie Ward removed a large number of hard and soft wood trees on our property that were threatening our buildings. He cut down, cut up and removed the trees over a period of about two weeks, and the work was exchanged for the money that he could obtain for the wood. He and his partner worked diligently and kept appointments punctually. Because we ran out of time it was not possible to complete the project, but they held to the contract as much as was possible in a short period of time.
