He is very nice to talk to and he is extremity knowledgeable. He also gave me an estimate for another project that I'm hoping we get started soon.

John did a nice job on installing new windows and redoing the drainage in the area. He was unable to finish the job and promised to come back. I have made repeated calls and emails to John and never heard a thing back. If he had returned to finish the work, he would have gotten much higher marks.

Came to the house on a saturday to do a walk through to get us an estimate (like that he did this, another company did an estimate based on what I explained over the phone, didn't like that). Friendly, talkative, knowledgeable, and offered advice in other areas that weren't part of the estimate in question. Estimate was mid-range when we compared to two other companies. Took a few days to hear back from John to schedule the work, but he was able to fit us in within 2 weeks. 2 person team did the work, it was a hot few days but got it done in 3 days on time. Great quality work and on budget with the estimate. Friendly, trustworthy and kindly gave referrals for other work we needed done.

We love John. After sent him a request for an estimate by e-mail, we received a call back the same night and he came the very next day, which was a Sunday. He called when he was on his way and was on time for our appointment. We needed a quote for a remodel on our family, new stone stairs at the front of the house, a new walkway and for either repair or replace of our retaining wall. John was very knowledgeable and give us tips on how to be cost effective in the work we needed done. He was very personable and professional. We got quotes from four other contractors. John's quote was reasonable and on par with other quotes we received. We decided to John over other because of how quickly he responded, how quickly he got us his quotes (which was right when he said he would) and his general personality. He did a great job on our front stairs. We've received so many comments from our neighbors about how great they look and how jealous they are. Our new front door to the family works perfectly and looks great and he did a great job closing in the skylight. While working on our the family room he noted some problems with our roof and our chimney which I knew about but hadn't gotten around to getting quotes on. He offered to do the quotes and had them back to me within a day. We definitely plan on using John again. I recommend him with two thumbs up!

Call JM Stanton Contracting as a result of an Angie's list search. He did not have any ratings but I figured I would meet with him and get an estimated for a concrete walkway. My walkway was damaged a couple years ago by a tree removal truck that had driven over it. John was very responsive and showed up the next day to give me an estimate. Although I was looking to replace with a concrete walkway which he quoted at $1,400, he also suggested I think about doing the pavers and granite steps for $2K. He wasn't pushy about it and emphasized that either would look good. As a point of reference I had gotten a quote from a large local concrete company for $2K for concrete so I knew the $1,400 was a fair price. Since I am selling my house, I decided to go with the pavers/granite over the concrete. John set a time 3 weeks out and kept me in the loop during those 3 weeks to keep my updated. He arrived on time, finished on time, cleaned everything up, scrubbed down the steps by hand, planted new grass where needed, etc. Everything was rock solid, straight and true and plumb and couldn't have looked better. He had some leftover granite pavers from a previous job that he used as a border at no additional cost to me which really complimented the granite steps well. He also told me that while he was working on my job he would not be "multi-tasking" with other jobs at the same time. His efforts would be solely focused on my job until it was complete. Overall an excellent experience and I use him again in a second. John is a very laid back and personable guy who is easy to talk to and very professional.

It looks gorgeous, definitely a lot better than the train wreck that it was like before. The job came out awesome, I was very happy, he was very professional and he had a helper with him. They were very professional, I was actually quite surprised. They were very quiet, very respectful, they did their thing and they moved on. They were quick, there were only two people working on the roof, and they had the whole thing done in about a week. I don’t think I could be happier, I have had construction work done by other people in the past and they were not as good. I don’t think I have ever been happier with a contractor coming into my home before. Their responsiveness was excellent, and they got back to me within a day. I will definitely use them again if needed, and I have already recommended them to at least half a dozen people who need several contracting things that I saw that he did on his card.
