Communication - not overly friendly conversations with office at any point in the process, over the phone (same lady on all occasions). Could be a turn-off if unfamiliar with quality & reputation of company. Quality of first contact goes a long way in giving potential customer(s) comfort that dealing with company will be a positive experience. Despite a number of calls in a short period of time, never had a sense that the office knew who I was, never acknowledged me any differently from the first call all the way thru the process. Good customer service includes recognition of a customer. Review of bid, specs & to-do - very knowledgeable, friendly, customer-oriented. They made a couple of small-scope suggestions over-and-above original bid considerations; did them at no additional cost. "Destroy & Remove" Team - friendly, professional, very good work. Took good care of property, did work carefully, and were considerate in how they did their work. "Installation" Team - not as friendly but as professional, as considerate, and also did very good work Post-installation follow-up by vendor - disappointingly, there has been none, in any form, fashion, or manner. Would think they would have been interested in how customer felt about the end results, the performance of the teams, etc - especially in our neighborhood, where they have done other work and are looking to do yet more; especially to see if the job was done to the company's satisfaction as well as the customer's; etc. The overall rating represents the ultimate objective: degree of satisfaction of end result. Got what I wanted though getting there was not a 100% smooth process. Respoonsiveness rating reflected in comments above, as is Professionalism. "B" rating for Punctuality is result of my job (a 2-day process) being delayed mid-stream due to company being not completing another job in time.

They came when they were supposed to, did a great job, always kept busy, removed the old driveway, totally re surfaced the new driveway and only took them half of a day. Absolutely satisfied, did exactly what they were supposed to do, great price and I recommended them to my church and they did a great job there as well.

I would certainly recommend Tate Bros Paving. We had this done in two stages. Ripping out the old driveway and laying down a binder coat was done in Dec 2012 and the topcoat was applied in April 2013. We were hoping for and got a good stretch of weather in Dec. which allowed Tate to get the old driveway removed and the new driveway base coat put in. This allowed us to use our garage through the winter. The crew was professional and each member knew his job. In the spring after the weather warmed, Tate's crew came out and put on the top coat. Overall an excellent job. They may not be the cheapest, but they put down a quality product and really take care to keep things clean. BTW, the our original driveway was put down by Tate Bros. in 1991. The contractors that built our garage couldn't believe the shape that the 20 yr. old hot top was in. Even with driving their heavy equipment over it, the driveway was still in great shape. These contractors all were amazed at the depth of the hot top (not a cheap driveway). You'll pay a little more up front but it will save you money in the long run.

Tate Bros were extremely profesional in all aspects of the job. The skill and expertise of the crews were excellent. We now have a terrific new driveway where the rain water does not collect. Although Tate was the highest quoted price we received, the total experience and results were worth the expense. They removed all debris and worked neatly during the installation.

I thought the price was fair. I met with them and I found them to be very knowledgeable. I found that the grading I wanted done was well within the capabilities of the group.

They're wonderful. We watched them do it and they were fabulous. They were also recommended to them. They were professional and respectful.
