After scheduling (six weeks out by their calendar) a cleanout with a Hamm rep, I called the day before to confirm the service. I was asked the same question I was asked when I first scheduled: When was the last cleanout? I responded the same as I had six weeks earlier, that it had not been cleaned out since going into service in 2002. I was then told they could not provide service because they only worked on systems that were properly maintained. Why I wasn't told this six weeks earlier, I don't know. When I asked what I should do, the Hamm woman replied I could call around to see if someone would do it. I made one call to Soucy Septic, who did not even comment on the lack of service to the system. They came as scheduled, did the work, filed a report, pronounced the system in excellent working condition, and scheduled a future service. I will call them and never bother with Hamm again.

Their website listed my town as one in which they do business. Knowing they are very busy, I called a few months ahead of time to make an appointment and was told they don't service my town!!

We used this company for years for pumping because they're the company the previous home owner used. But over labor day weekend our pumping station alarm went off for the first time since we bought the house in 2004.And Hamm's pricing was ridiculous. $300 for a holiday emergency fee, $195 an hour with a 2 hour minimum plus the $280 to pump the septic. So that's about $1000 BEFORE any other parts that may be needed and only for up to 2 hours. Then I was told that the pumping station should be inspected with each pumping. And that you had to request for it to be done. Well, if it needed to be done each time, it should be part of the cost of pumping and be automatic. The other companies I called ALL said that was not needed. It's just a way to get more $$ from hard working people. So guess what? You're fired. The company I went with told me what was wrong for FREE and there was no per hour fee or emergency fee. I will say that the price for pumping was about the same though.If I could give negative stars I would.

I have been using Hamm for a number of years. Every two or three years I have the septic tank pumped. I put in a riser a few years ago, but Hamm can install one to avoid having to dig up the septic tank cover each time. They were punctual and, as always, efficient. They had the tank emptied and the cover back on quickly, and they didn't make a mess. Friendly and nice to do business with.

Hamm Septic is in high demand and we were fortunate that an appointment was available within two weeks of my call. They came right on time and did the inspection and pumping quickly and professionally. They itemized the bill to cover the inspection ($50) for insurance purposes (tree had fallen right on top of the tank). There was a small extra charge ($30) for cleaning the filter. Bob did a great job. To avoid additional charges I dug out and exposed both covers before arrival. This is the second time we've used Hamm and we will use them again.

They are a full service company where they do design, installation, maintenance and pumping of residential and commercial systems. They were a pleasure to work with, very responsive to our questions and as a result, we have turned over the maintenance and pumping of all of our 7 septic systems to Hamm Septic Services, Inc. Unfortunately, Hamm Septic was not able to pump our septic tank. As new homeowners, we were told that we should have the tank pumped ASAP since the previous homeowners had not done so in the three years they lived in the home. Hamm told us there was a two-week wait to make an appointment. When that date arrived, they called the morning of the appointment to say it was and quot;too coldand quot; to pump and that they would need to reschedule. The reschedule was supposed to be one week later, today's date, between 8-12. I told them I would not be at home, but my husband would be. When they still hadn't arrived by noon, I called Hamm's office and was told they had no record of my rescheduled appointment. What?! They said they would show up this afternoon, and would call first. Unfortunately, when they called me, it was during the 45 minute period I was teaching and couldn't answer. My husband was on a conference call at home and didn't hear the doorbell. I called them back within 3 minutes of their third attempt to reach me. Hamm said their driver had just left my house and quot;5 minutes ago.and quot; I asked if he could please go back, that I would ensure my husband answered the door. I was told, and quot;No, we tried to reach you for an hour. Get it done in the spring.and quot; End of discussion. Hamm Septic must be doing very well if they can afford to treat potential customers in such a manner. If this experience had gone well, they certainly would have been my service of choice for the many years I plan to reside at my home. Instead, I am left with a full septic tank and having to start at square one, having wasted three weeks since my initial attempt to locate a septic service! This is the first A-rated Angie's List business that I have had a problem with. Hopefully it will be the last.

From beginning to end........outstanding. The technician (Bob) called 1/2 before his arrival. When he arrived, he introduced himself and began to work. I was unaware of the exact postion of the septic tank top. Bob used his tools to quickly find the tank and the appropritate cap. He dug down into my lawn, being careful to avoid underground sprinkler conduit, and located the tank cap. He quickly pumped the tank and replaced all loan and turf so that, to the naked eye, one could not know that there was any disturbance to the lawn. I chose this company, although there are several others closer to my home, based upon the company's rating with Angie's List....again a wise choice. I would highly recommend this company for any septic related issues from design to to implementation and obviously routine septic service.

They were quick to schedule an appointment with and very courtious over the phone. Thewere on time for the appointment. they gave us a report and were good about explaining how often the tanks needed pumping etc. We will use them again.

I was very happy with them. They were professional. I actually didn't have to be here when they were here. I wasn't home, but everything was done to my satisfaction. I didn't interact with them because I wasn't home. They just reset up a time and they came and did it. They recovered everything. Their price seemed very reasonable. The dealings on the phone to setting it up, they were very courteous and helpful. I plan on using them again.

House was 13 months old when purchased and tank had not been located or pumped. At six year mark, decided to have tank pumped and check out a wet area near suspected leach field. Spoke to Carla Hamm and she was professional, knowledgeable, and to the point. Bob arrived on the date arranged and in the mid-zone of the 4-hour time frame given me. He located the tank and uncovered the covers and answered all my questions. He pumped the tank, cleaned the filter, and checked the wet location and leach field (dry). Wet area was not an issue (water runoff). Work was completed quickly, neatly, and carefully. My impression of this company is described as professional, informative, personable, and reasonable. One of the best experiences I've had with any service.

Hamm's arrived on the scheduled day, and began work immediately. Problems were encountered due to situation beyond their control, but they brought in additional help to insure on-time completion. The work was done professionally and while it took longer than anticipated, the work was done as timely as the situation allowed. No shortcuts were taken to hurry the process. The principal individual, Gary Hamm, was very easy to work with and accommodating. Overall I am very satisfied with the work performed by Hamm's and I would recommend them to everybody requiring this type of work.
