Charlie and his team were great! These guys were true professionals. They laid out a clear plan for the work and the time to complete, and stuck too it! We had old, dated popcorn and textured ceilings. They removed and repaired the ceilings and the walls, the place literally looks brand new. We are very happy with the job they did. You aren't going to find better contractors!

Charlie was great. He was very conscientious, efficient and quick. He replaced the damaged sheetrock, taped and painted the ceilings, matching the texture effect that was already there. The ceilings had blown-in insulation which came down with the sheetrock, and everything was left neat and clean in the end.

All work was completed on time in a professional manner. We couldn't be more pleased with the results.

Charlie responded quickly to my request to get a work estimate and arrived the following week to estimate the work. He was extremely timely, professional and answered all my questions. He told me exactly what needed to be done and what he would do. The job included blending new repair work with the existing swirl pattern ceiling. He said he could blend it in nicely, but he could not guarantee perfection. I appreciated his honesty. Charlie recommended painting the ceiling to ensure a solid blend. A few days later, he sent me a detailed estimate. I confirmed that I wanted the work done and he told me that since the job was a 1-2 day job, he could fit me in between other jobs. I was happy that he could get the work done sooner that I expected. Charlie arrived the next week with another person to do the job. He arrived on time, putting a tarp down in our entry way to prevent mud and snow from being tracked through the house. He completed the work in one day, including clean-up. He walked me through the work done and made sure I was pleased before asking for payment. I am extremely pleased with the work, looks good as new. I will follow up in the Spring with fresh paint. I highly recommend Charlie and will use his service in the future.

We could not be happier with the work Charlie performed. He arrived promptly on the date and time agreed, completed the work ahead of schedule, and we are very impressed and satisfied with the results. People cannot even tell that the ceiling was patched he did such a thorough and detailed job of matching the existing texture and pattern (course grain swirled). Also, he and his team were careful and courteous in our house, and left behind no evidence of debris in the bedroom or hallways in and out of the house. We would definitely use Charlie again and would recommend him to friends without hesitation. We're only disappointed we had to work through getting bids from several other providers before contacting Charlie's Drywall & Painting.

Charlie was very nice and professional. Fit me into his busy schedule. Completed the job like he said he would. Replaced the drywall in kitchen and retextured the ceiling. Also removed the taping in both bathrooms, retaped and retextured the ceiling. Painted both ceiling and walls. Looks like new. Would highly recommend Charlie to anyone.

The winter of 2015 was a very memorable one for our church. We had numerous ice dams from the severe winter. As a result we had major water damage in the Sanctuary leaving water stains around the stained glass window and baptistry. I was concerned about both repairing the area around the stained glass because it is priceless. I was also concerned about painting the sanctuary since it is over 30 feet high in some areas. The entire project was a major undertaking. The walls needed to be sanded before being painted which meant we had to cover the piano and organ to make sure they were not damaged in any way. The project required setting up staging and working around a grand piano, pipe organ and beautiful stained glass window that could never be replaced. They had to use ladders extended to 30'and did so with precision. We hired the right company! Charlies Drywall & Painting did an OUTSTANDING job! They were professional, efficient, and helpful! The sanctuary has never looked better! I am SO happy with the work they did, I would HIGHLY recommend them!

We have hired Charlie before to repair damage from ice damns, also when we needed our family room painted. This year we had damage again, only this time it was in several rooms and a sun porch. Charlie and his crew came in with professionalism and respect for our home and repaired and painted all the rooms that were damaged. After they left you would have never known that we had any work done, they are that neat and clean. I will for sure hire him again, this time I hope it's because we're redecorating our home not because it was damaged. But it's great to know who we can call to do an awesome job.

I have hired a lot of contractors over the years and have never written a review. Charlie is well deserving of some recognition for the amazing work he and his crew did. I had hired him previously to fix some tape lifting and when I decided to fix other issues, knew that I wanted him back. The contractor who built my house left me with drywall issues - seams cracking, screws popping, tape lifting, priming and not finish painting, moldings not caulked. Charlie and his crew came in and restored my foyer to one I am now proud of ! I also had him repaint my great room walls and trim and he actually did more than we agreed at no additional charge because he just wanted it done right. You don't find that commitment to quality everyday and it is truly appreciated ! His estimate was fair for the work he did, he completed the work on time, and there were no surprise charges at the completion of the work. Not only is it about the work, but about the people who spend days at your home, and it was enjoyable to have him and his crew around. They are professional and fun to be around and care about doing the job right the first time. If you are in need of his services, I would highly recommend him. You will not be disappointed !

The job took 8 days with Charlie and one helper. They were on time (7:30 am) each day and cleaned up before they left each day. Our house was built in 1922 with the lath and plaster construction of its day. Prior to this work, the house was completely rewired, so there was some patching involved from the electrical work. Charlie was also able to build an enclosure around the exposed water piping in the small bath that was leftover from a previous project. Our aim was to update the look of the old house with brighter trim and ceilings and less wallpaper, but still be true to the look of the original house. The living room has two built in shelves with cabinet doors and a fireplace all repainted. When the decorative ceiling beams were removed in the LR, it was found that they were fastened to wood rather than ceiling materials and that each one had been wallpapered in, so that there were now gaps in the wallpaper. Charlie was able to plaster over the gaps and blend the look into the sand textured ceiling. He was also able to recover some wallpaper from behind the radiator and fill in the gaps with pieces of that. Unless you know exactly where to look the patches are invisible. Together with the earlier project Charlie did for us, we have finished the first floor renovation. Both were outstanding jobs. I would highly recommend him. The combination of dry wall skills and painting skills does not seem to be common. A lot of painters say they do repairs and patches, but would not be able to do the extensive plaster work for this type of project, Similarly, a lot of plaster or dry wall specialists do not paint. (Our previous project with Charlie was similar to this one, but also included dry walling in an entire room including ceiling after removing a variety of surfaces in an enclosed porch).

Sections of wall and ceiling were replaced. The ceiling in the kitchen is popcorn and although I'd been told by many that any repair would be noticeable, when completed we were unable to see where the repairs were. Charlie also painted the repaired ares to match existing walls. We felt his price was fair; he was punctual; completed the work a day earlier than he expected. We have Charlies scheduled to come back in September to do some additional work. Highly recommended.

Charlie was fantastic. He really knows his stuff and his standards are high. He was very professional and fast. My folks sustained quite a bit of damage due to ice dams this winter. He was able to get things back in shape quickly so that I could get my parents back into their bedroom. They are in their 80's, so this was pretty stressful for them. Charlie worked really well with them, got the right match for the wall colors, and left everything spic and span.

Everything was done according to the quotation that Charlie supplied - right down to the smallest detail.

Went great... Perfect actually... I found Charlie's through Angie's list... sent an email... received a very timely response... was out to see the job and provide me an estimate in less than two days and the whole job was done in less than a week from when I contacted him initially. His price, I thought was outstanding... showed up on time ready to work and did a fabulous job. I enjoyed talking with Charlie while he was working. It was clear to me from start to finish that quality and customer service are top priorities. I would recommend Charlie's Drywall and Paint to my friends and I will use them again when this New Hampshire winter does damage the repair of which I will need help.

Fantastic, two of the rooms plus one of the hallways had dormers. Charlie explained everything in detail . He was honest and told us which ceilings he could repair and which he would have to replace. He kept us informed as the work was performed . He was on time and cleaned up.

I went online to find out how to remove a textured ceiling, and make it flat & smooth. I tried different options that I found to soak & scrape the texture from the dining room ceiling. It was like scraping concrete!!! I ended up spending weeks trying different methods to get the texture off, with no good results. I called Charlie's Drywall & Charlie showed up when he said he would, gave me what I thought was a very fair price, & they got the job done in a day (minus the painting, which I said I could do). I figured they'd still be working on the ceiling when I got home from work that day, but they had finished, cleaned up, and left for the day. The ceiling is smooth and flat with no irregularities in the finish (another concern even if I did get the texture off myself). Sometimes you get to the point that your time is more valuable than your money. I spent many valuable hours trying to do what I should have hired a pro to do. Charlie's Drywall was very professional and they did the job I'd been working on for several weeks in a day, for a fair price. I highly recommend them, and would use them again in the future.

Simply put, it could not have gone better. Our bathroom renovation has taken on its own life. We originally hired a different contractor to take care of the drywall. The original guys (not Charlie) did an absolutely abysmal job and basically went out of communication before completing the work. There were some holes, some spots not sanded, and areas that were simply not completed. A lot of areas needed attention if not completely reworked. Before work, Charlie communicated flawlessly about when they were able to come and take care of the work, the scope of what they would do, and our requirements before they showed up (removing items so they could work). When it was time for them to start the job, they were punctual and professional at all times. We appreciated that they ran and taped craft paper where they would walk in our home to save our floors and keep the place tidy. Most importantly, the work was absolutely first rate. They repaired and replaced the drywall where relevant. They trimmed out the window and door. They primed the areas where they had made repairs (~10). They put a fresh coat of textured paint on the ceiling. They put a fresh coat of paint on the walls, door, and trim as well. It looks like a completely new and well finished room once they were done. Obviously, if we had to do it over again we would have picked Charlie and team from the beginning and saved the hassle. We most assuredly will find a reason to use them again and would recommend them to anyone that asked.

My entire experience with Charlie went flawlessly from start to finish. I contacted Charlie by phone shortly after my bedroom ceiling was damaged by a contractor working in my attic. The drywall was cracked and hanging lower where the contractor had stepped. It also seemed like a good time to have the mildew on the bathroom ceiling taken care of. Even though he was on vacation, Charlie returned my call that same day and we arranged for him to provide an estimate when he returned. Charlie arrived promptly for the estimate. He explained to me how the repair in the bedroom required replacing the damaged drywall, redoing the popcorn texture in that area, and then repainting the bedroom ceiling. For the bathroom ceiling repair, he described how he would scrape off the mildewed texture, respray the texture in the affected area, and repaint the bathroom ceiling. I was concerned about how well these repairs would blend in with the rest of the ceiling in those 2 rooms because of a bad experience I had 5 years earlier with a water-damaged kitchen ceiling. In that case, the painting contractor I used did not remove any of the damaged drywall. He patched over the damage with a texture that didn't match the rest of the kitchen texture. After 5 years, the patched area had developed cracks and was starting to bow. I showed the kitchen repair to Charlie, and he agreed it was very poorly done. He said he could make it right by replacing the drywall in that area, respraying the texture there, and then painting over it to have it blend in with the rest of the kitchen. He described that the work would be done over 2 days; one day to do the drywall repairs and spray the texture, and the second day to paint the ceilings. It was very easy to communicate with Charlie via email. Because this was a smaller job, he was able to squeeze it in within a couple weeks. He and his assistant showed up right on time, and immediately covered the floors with drop cloths before they got to work. They hung plastic sheets around the areas they were working in to contain the dust and spray from the texture. At the end of the first day, Charlie updated me on their progress and they left things in a clean state. They arrived on schedule the second day to complete the painting part of the job. They did a great job cleaning up when they were done, even hosing down my brick walkway to remove any dusty footprints and moving a heavy piece of furniture back into place without my asking. The quality of the repairs was excellent. In each case, the repair and new texture blended seamlessly into the rest of the ceiling. I was very impressed with how well the repairs turned out, and I plan to call Charlie again for future drywall work. I highly recommend Charlie to anyone needing drywall, texture, and painting work done.

Charlie helped convert our basement area into a beautiful home theater. Start to finish Charlie was very responsive, extremely professional and both he and his partner always showed up a few minutes before scheduled. We were most impressed by his thoroughness and how detail oriented and methodical he was, never rushed and always very polite--even to my kids! He also suggested a few changes along the way that helped make the area more attractive and cost effective. The job involved removing a door/frame and demolishing an existing wall. Half of the wall was salvaged to prep for a bar area. A new wall 6? from the current wall was built and the removed door was reinstalled. An accompanying soffit was built in the ceiling which carried the current soffit into the new area. It was skip-trowel patterned to match the current look on the soffit. Ceiling grids were expanded to extend the current grid system and acoustic ceiling tiles were cut and put in place. The entire 800 sq ft basement was painted including trim and 12 doors. He also hooked us up with an electrician to install recess lighting and a few outlets. We are very pleased with the work that was performed and will be calling Charlie back to finish phase 2 of the project (finishing the bar area)!
