We added a patio to our back yard and of course the irrigation system was right under the spot that we picked for the patio... Rainmaker moved it around the patio with great care to our back yard. There's barely any damage to the lawn. Their crew is always polite and respectful...

We were looking for an irrigation specialist for our primary residence. We chose Rainmaker because they were low priced. We used them for a couple of seasons. We always had difficulties with the billing department. Incorrect billing. Difficult to get in contact with them at times. When we redesigned our patio, we asked them to give us a quote for drip irrigation. The representative showed up and quickly walked the property and gave us a "word of mouth" quote. No plan on paper, no paper copy of a quote. Very unprofessional. It came across as though they weren't interested. We had three other irrigation companies give us a quote for the job. Although Rainmaker was the lowest quote we received, we went with one of the other three providers. The provider (in Manchester) we chose did an excellent job and now we use them for all our irrigation work.

The installation went well. They arranged the dig safe call and showed up when planned. The installation went rather smoothly. While the tubing was being installed in the yard, the plumbers connected up the pipes and valves to the main system and put the control stations in the yard as required. Everyone seemed very professional and the work went well. The only issue is that two of the heads became lodged with small stones from the dirt that was dug out. We had another contractor working on the lawn for a separate issue and he replaced the faulty valves. Looking at the valves this spring there is likely one more that needs to be repaired. I can update this review after the I find out what's going on with the faulty valve. So far I would recommend RainMaker. They have a 5 year warranty on the valves so as long as that holds up I will be happy.

They are great and I use them for the summer as well. They charge me $60 for closing, and $90 for opening and closing. They offer good service and they are easy to work with as far as scheduling. When the do the openings and closings they set up schedules by the zip code which makes it easy to know when I would have them work.

I felt that their price was fair because I had a price a couple of years ago by another company, and it was a little bit higher. He was very punctual in coming out, looking at my property, seeing what I needed, and telling me what I needed. There were certain things I wanted as far as the control panel and the rain sensors, and he installed exactly what I needed as far as the control panel and what I needed it to do. It was excellent. He was very professional. His people came out and did the installation. It was quick, and they did not make a mess. It was pretty awesome.

Poor installation. Unresponsive to communication. Retained another contractor to fix their faulty work. Nuff said.

So far everything has gone very well. David and his crew are knowledgeagle, attentive and very professional. We had a couple of minor concerns that were immediately addressed. I completely expect that the rest of our experience will be just as satisfying.

As indicated above, sometime in 2010, on the recommendation of our outstanding landscaper, Patten Grounds Care, we had Rainmaker Irrigation install in-the-ground irrigation for the backyard flower and vegetable garden beds. They were slow to return calls, failed to show up and/or call about missed appointments. Also, they left some sections of tubing (interconnection between valves and other beds) exposed above the gravel surface. When this Spring we wanted to add the front landscaping to the irrigation system, their responses were even worse. It took several calls to finally get an appointment to just look at what we wanted. After they failed to show, and my wife and I had had to cancel other plans to remain home, it took a few days to reach a person and they insisted that they had called us; clearly, they had not. We then asked our landscaper to recommend someone else. They confirmed that several of their customers had similar experiences with Rainmaker Irrigation and recommended Summer Rain Irrigation. While quite busy, and on short notice, that recommendation proved to be outstanding; they even fixed the mess (above ground short runs of irrigation tubing) left by RainMaker irrigation.

During the estimate the owner of the company, David, explained what he would do and why he was doing it, e.g., explaining why heads had to go where he wanted to put them and what all my options were. After installation was completed he spent as much time as I needed demonstrating the system, explaining how best to use it, how to care for the system and adjust the heads if I wanted to change the spray pattern. He was very easy to deal with, willing to negotiate and did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. His crew was prompt, efficient and completed the job quickly. I am very happy with the system and the company. Rainmaker also did my neighbor's irrigation system so I have had the chance to see two installations. I recommend them and have no hesitation about using them again.
