They did the work quickly and with little damage, but the service was super expensive. I paid a down payment that I thought was the entire cost of the repair, (and when talking to other companies, it should have been). I even thought that I was being double charged, but apparently not. They were not very responsive after the work was done to discuss the bill. I guess I paid the price for trying to rush to get the job done. Their work was reputed to be very good, and we were in a hurry. I would not have hired them if I had really thought about the price and shopped around.

ALL work was done extremely well. Did work in dead of winter without complaint. Jesse was on time for estimate during home inspection. Work was done as described without incident. Living room was totally clean upon their departure. Completion was on time. A-1 work.

My experience with them has been very good. We did have a little bit of a problem with one of the dampers that was installed. They came out and totally replaced it at no cost. They couldn't find out what was wrong, but they replaced it anyway.

The work crew went above and beyond our expectations.They took their time, were very carefull (using a "bucket truck" to cut the trees from the top down. My wife had a few small "last minute requests" when we looked at the completed job. The crew immediately took care of the extra trimming of branches she requested. Everything was great from start to finish. Service was prompt, courteous and professional, and the inspection report was thorough. We'll be calling them again the next time we need to have our chimney inspected.

Jesse came with dropcloths and vacuum to clean the inside stovepipe. Then he went out on the roof and cleaned the 20' chimney and cap. When he was done, he used a cleaner to remove soot and dust from the outside of the stove and shined it up so it looks like new. He left our house cleaner than it was when he came! All the while, he was cheerful and professional - he actually called ahead and asked if he could come earlier than scheduled, whch was good for us. All in all, it took about an hour. We think the price of $145 for the inspection and cleaning was very reasonable. We had checked around and most others were charging $200 and up. We have made our appointment for next spring's inspection and highly recommend Crown Chimney.
