Great job would hire again

I hired American asphalt and paving to repave my driveway/parking lot. The Contractor charged me a premium charge (~$38K) for a drastically substandard job. The driveway is so bad that sections will not last through the winter and I'll be lucky if the driveway last one to two years. Less than one month after being paved, I'm already requesting quotes to have the driveway repaved. The contractor threatened me with the filing a mechanical lien. In the state of New Hampshire, this process is tailored to meet the needs of the contractor. When the contractor breaches the contract the consumer is still holding the short end of the stick. I ended up paying $20,000 for a driveway. This company doesn't know the meaning of quality work, completing the work to the agreed contract (paving thickness, foot print, dimensions, etc.). I was constantly being pacified and lied to by the owner and eventually the estimator (eg; standing water). They took it upon themselves to determine what was best without consulting me. Good examples include the footprint, the dimensions of the driveway and the sidewalk. These are just a few of my 17 item punchlist items, which includes significant drainage issues (3+' water drainage) directly in walking path to the main entrance to the complex and the placement of a PVC pipe placed directly under the walkway asphalt. Here you can walk on the asphalt and see the asphalt actually flexes as you walk across the surface, as well as the PVC pipe having a negative gradient. I don't trust the owner or the estimator of this company, and I directly told them using documented proof. There were little to no effort put forth by the company to fix the problems. If you are considering hiring an asphalt company, I would highly recommend that you stay away from American Asphalt and Paving. As a veteran, their greeting message discuss me. The job was done very professionally from the start. The call back, and the estimate was the same day. The job was scheduled . All prep work was done, sweeping ,edging, and caulking . I would recommend this company. The driveway looks like new!

We had a great experience with them. Job was done one day earlier than promised and the owner and all the workers are very detail oriented. They made some minor modifications from the original driveway which made it function much better. We are more than 100% satisfied with the job and with everyone who worked on it.

We hired American Asphalt Paving based on their great reviews and were not disappointed. They all are true, read them! The only thing was that... we had to wait for more then three months for the work to start, but that was totally expected and we didn't mind. Good companies are not sitting around without work, they are busy with lots of contracts. If you want the work to be done by a great company plan ahead call them early!

Robert and his crew did an amazing job digging up our old driveway and replacing it with new asphalt. They spent the time needed to dig and remove many rocks that were present before laying the new asphalt. We would highly recommend American Asphalt Paving to any of our friends and family.

We had two driveways (his and hers ð ) done in August - the guys did an amazing job - we had two driveways in really bad shape that were cracked, cratering and lumping up - the guys dug out the old driveways, leveled and sloped the new driveway and extended parking/turn around spot and laid the new driveways - I'm so, so, so happy with my new driveways and I'm looking forward to NOT having to listen to my husband gripe when he has to snowblow this winter.

We had 2 properties that needed new driveways. The foreman, Paul and crew were polite and respectful and on time. They were also honest. One driveway had loam under the pavement from 60+ years ago and they asked where we wanted the loam on the property(I never would have known about the loam). The crew actually carted and spread to an old garden on the property. We have hired quite a few contractors in the past year for different projects and this was the only company that had the owner on site and working along with the crew. Looking forward to doing business again with American Asphalt Paving. Job well done!

American Asphalt Paving is an A+ company. The owner works right along with the guys. They all were very professional respectful and very polite. The owner made sure that I liked the work through out the process. I would highly recommend American Asphalt Paving without our a doubt.

Samuel and his family of workers were personable and professional. They did a fantastic job on a very difficult driveway repair and repave at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Looking forward to hiring them again next year to seal the driveway.

American Paving did our new driveway and it looks incredible. We also needed some loam work where our lawn had collapsed near our foundation and they were able to help us with that as well. It is exactly what we had in mind and the quality of their work speaks for itself. After the work was done, we received a call from Robert a few days later to see if we were satisfied with the job and to thank us for our business. Definitely, recommend!

Robert and Paul were both extraordinaries in they professionalism. Easy to work with and my driveway is the envy of the neighborhood. Every one of their workers were very professional and friendly and extremely hardworking and meticulous.
