Richard's Remodeling and Repairs

Richard arrived on time did the work in the time quoted ($70/hour), so there were no surprises. I hired him to come back and paint my front landing. When he came over, he had a moisture sensor and determined that the wood was too moist to paint, so he left without charging anything. We are scheduling a time for him to complete the work. At the same time, I am laughing because the exterior of the house next door is being re-painted after only three years because the wood was damp when the previous painter did the work

Excellent service, punctual, friendly

The crew did excellent work; planning & coordinating went well. There were less expensive options, but our instincts said we could be confident with them and we were not disappointed. The repairs look great, and our gutter finally works as it should. With this business, we found that communication is fairly informal as there is not a formal office presence. More importantly for us, their craftsmen are skilled, they answered our questions with patience and lots of helpful information, and everyone involved was pleasant to work with. We plan to call them back soon to fix the porch floor underlayment and flashing, which we delayed since winter was coming on.

It went great! Richard arrived exactly when he said he would, texting us a couple of times to confirm he was on his way. The rotten wood was a bit more extensive than our photos had made clear, and he spent at least an hour more than he had expected, but insisted on only charging us for the original labor estimate. Materials came in a bit higher too, but based on other estimate we received, my feeling is Richard delivered extraordinary work at an extremely reasonable price. He communicates very well, professional in every way and I would call him again in a heartbeat for any job that needed doing. A great pleasure doing business with him.

Contacted via Angie?s List schedule button, to get the $25 off <3 hrs of work, and never responded. Sent 12/4/2015 and it is 12/13/2015 now. Update: 12/21/2015: Post this review I was contacted. Upgraded level do to that.

They really did a good job. I have now considered them to be my go to for remodeling purposes. I highly recommend them for any remodeling work. I now going to recommend them for my family and friends.

We have used Richard before and the result was the same, excellent service. Will go back to him shortly to install a vanity and bathroom vent.

The crew arrived on time, completed all of the work they said they would and in a manner that was better than expected. It was so important to us that they arrive on time as committed as we had an open house the following day. They did not disappoint. One of the guys even came back later that night after his dinner to give the vanity an additional coat to make it sure it looked it's best. We will definitely hire them again.

It was a game saver for me. The heat is coming in and I will now be cool.

Richard is great and I would absolutely use him in the future! This was a small job that a lot of other companies wouldn't even bother with. Richard was able to schedule me less than 24 hours after I called, showed up on time, and completed the work needed in record time. It's so nice when things go smoothly!

We really love this guy. Richard answers his own phone which is wonderful. They sent 2 guys out the next day to put calcium chloride bags around the roof and clear off the shed. The job took them 8 hours and he still only charged us 4 hours since that is what he quoted us and really stood by his word. The calcium chloride bags did not work and they did not do a very good job clearing off the shed and we called Richard and he came out within the hour. He let us know that he fired one of the guys that came out the other day. He did some research on the web and put some other treatment around the roof. He was effective in getting the water to flow out of the house. He is wonderful. We were so impressed with his responsiveness and honesty that we are going to use him as our handymen forever.

Richard made time on a Friday night at 6pm to perform a quick fix of a sink stopper for my tenants

It went great! I can't recommend Richard highly enough! He responded to my inquiry on Angie's list about 5 minutes or less after I contacted him. He was easy to get in touch with, punctual and professional. The quality of his work was excellent and he really seemed to know what he was doing. Plus he was super friendly and gave my husband and me some great tips that will help us save money in the future. We will definitely use him again. Not to mention I was shocked at how reasonable the price was, we definitely got our money's worth.

Richard was very responsive and easy to deal with. He and Dan did a great job and we're very happy with it. We'll definitely be calling Richard again for work in the future.

Contacted Richard in the morning to let him know about a problem with the toilet. He made it over that afternoon and fixed it. Even gave me a return customer discount!

Richard showed up on time to provide a free estimate. He looked at things I thought needed fixing and he informed me they didn't. He was able to salvage an old railing that they do not make any more. He squeezed me in to a small window I had to have the work done. The final cost was less than his estimate. Highly recommend.

Great work by Richard and his crew. He came out to provide an estimate and discuss work to be done. The backyard deck needed painting, which was very straightforward. Paint job turned out great for all of the deck boards as well as steps, railing, trim, etc. For our side deck, I had a few loose/weak deck boards. We took a look underneath and found rotting wood in both a major joist and a beam. Richard came up with a plan and estimate to completely repair all of the damage and was able to take care of it in no time, including replacement with strong new components, new boards, and reinforcing the balusters. Finished off with a great paint job - it's completely solid now. Looking forward to working with this crew again for anything else around the house.

Richard showed up exactly at 11am as agreed. He was very organized and pleasant to deal with. He finished everything in 6 hours, cleaned the job site and charged me even less than previously agreed. I am impressed to say the least. Looking forward to working with him on other projects.

Richard was responsive, punctual and extremely professional. He not only completed everything on the list of little household things that needed to be fixed, he went above and beyond and fixed a few things he found along the way. We would totally use him again.

First trial did not worked correctly so he called for help and next day it worked fine.

I was expecting an elderly house guest for a visit and I needed the railing on the stairway fastened securely to the wall. I am very pleased with Andrew's job. I also needed the caulking around the tub replaced and happy with response from Rich, who went beyond my expectations, coming at inconvenient hours and leaving a great outcome.
