Ram Construction & Home Remodeling

We hired Rich with RAM Construction to complete a major renovation to our property. With my husband being a contractor himself but having no time to do the work, this was a big step to take on our behalf and we needed a contractor we could trust to show up and complete this major renovation. Rich took the job on knowing full well what challenges may exist with working at another contractorâ s home. Rich was completely open to my husbandâ s suggestions as well as being able to provide his own ideas on how to complete the project. Even though we had a contract Rich has been very accommodating with allowing us to veer outside of the project specs. Rich has been great to work with and we recommend him 100% to anyone who may be looking for a great Contractor.

I hired Rich of RAM construction to complete a project on our Summer home on York Beach Maine. As a resident of Massachusetts, we needed a contractor that would complete this project without supervision as well as be able to trust them with access to our property without our being there. Rich went above and beyond our expectations and gave us a finished project that was not in our vision when the project was started. As a result of Richs great work,we have hired him to complete several more projects on our property to which he has completed and we also have him slated to do more work as soon as his schedule opens up. You cant go wrong with hiring RAM Construction.

Stay away! I have so much I can share but there is not sufficient room for all of it. but here is some of what I have to say. First off he did not pull any building permits to do the work. He outright lied to me and my fiance saying It was not necessary. he took almost 8 months to remodel my kitchen and Living room, the Job which included turning the Garage into living space was supposed to take only 8 -10 weeks! He was gone working other jobs for weeks at a time. He left me without a Kitchen Sink for 19 days!!!! grossly over charged me by $9,000.00 dollars. Forced me to keep much of my belongings in outside storage which cost me an addl. $1,000.00 and he assumed no responsibility for it. My job was left incomplete, He bankrupt the job so the garage never got done. Molding, vinyl siding trim, unfinished painting. and the list goes on. This contractor is an LLC. and cannot be sued personally. I was going to take him to court. even though I would win as he breached his contract in several places, I would not see a dime!. Thats the beauty of being an llc. Therefor I will never do business with this contractor or any LLC ever again. I have proof pictures and all supporting documentation to justify this review. Never once did this guy show up before 10:00 A.M. He maybe worked 6 hours a day on average tops and that is being generous!!! Save yourself Money, Time and aggravation by staying away from this contractor.

Rich was a real pro, his creativity improve our original plans dramatically, and he brought it to life through his talents. I could not recommend him more highly for any manner of Home projects and what he did to our previous concrete cave of a basement is pretty spectacular. I currently am I looking for additional projects that I want Rich to tackle for us! You can not go wrong.

Rich was great to work with: communication, craftsmanship & $ Great!!! . He provided a time frame in regards to the completion off the job and the job got done on time & without issue. Our Basement remodel wasn't largest on Rich's plate, but Rich made you feel as if it was the most important project he had. We had 3 contractors including rich submit bids and Rich's bid was by fair the most affordable and the quality of work was excellent. We would hire rich back in a heart beat.

STAY AWAY!!! DO NOT HIRE!!!

Rich has been fantastic to work with. Excellent communications. He finished my basement remodel work on time and on budget. Would definitely recommend and will use him again in the future.

I needed my basement finished (i.e. man cave). Rich turned the space I had available into the perfect getaway. But the highlight is how he created so much storage space! Every inch of the basement is now utilized! Amazing. Also, Rich took a lot of time in helping me set up and install my TV and stereo. He really went way beyond what I'd expect from a contractor.

Ram was hired to do a basement remodeling project and after 3 months the work wasn't finished. I had to hire someone else to complete the job. Most of the work he did was over a 2 week period in Dec 2011. About 3 days of actual work was completed on the project during this time. His work day was 2 to 5 hours in length. I rarely knew when or what time he was going to show up in advance. Work/labor was paid for that was never completed. Material costs were supposed to be provided but never were. Rich did have health problems, but my job should have been finished before they occurred or in Feb 2012 when he was working again.

Rich was a verry nice guy and did what he said he was going to do and did it on time. i am useing rich again to build a frame for my whirlpool tub.

Rich and Mike were very nice ,the job was done very neat and mike went out of his way to take care all the wireing than needed to be done. I will do buissness with him again
