Casey and his guys were amazing. Hardworking, courteous, friendly. (At the end, they cleared up the drive and the lawn beautifully, but after they left we were surprised at how much smallish debris was left in the woods for us to clear up. They couldn't get their chipper round there, so left it all.) I definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: Tall pines removed. Some oaks and maples. Most threatening to fall.

Steve and two of his crew removed most of the trees in our back yard, to provide sun on our roof for solar panels. They worked well as a team; they seemed to know what each other was doing. They used a bobcat, which did the work of several people. Watching the "fingers" on the bobcat grab our trees, and move them was astonishing. They had a number of attachments for that, they they used with great expertise. There was no wasted time. They were considerate. I never heard a swear word. They began work at a time when no one would be able to complain about missing sleep. They picked up their tools and water bottles, and kept it neat and orderly while they worked, and extremely neat at the end of each day. I've never heard "Ma'am" so much in my iife! They said they were very concerned about safety. We could see that. They laid down panels to protect our grass; there was some damage, but it was minimal; much less than we expected. We had 30-50 trees to take down. Most were small to medium-sized trees, but we had one monster maple with a base at least 3 feet across. There were two pines that were both about 110 feet tall. One of those was a "bull pine" -- it reached up, and split into two, and then each of those forks split again. So, at the top of the tree, it was like there were four good-sized trees. No problem! Most of the trees were felled with help from the bobcat. The tree climber did climb several trees to trim them before cutting, or to prune some of the ones we left, after neighboring trees were removed. We have limited access to our back yard, due to garage and leach field placements. They made a pile of logs in the back, and then brought in a crane, which lifted logs up over our garage. No problem! A logging truck was brought to the front of the house, and they loaded it up as much as it would take; they removed 95,000 pounds of logs ? the two monster pines, and the big maple, plus some smaller pines and a mixture of other deciduous trees. They filled the back of the bucket truck and the back of a one-ton dump truck with smaller logs. All of the small trees and undergrowth, dead trees and branches and leaves were run through a chipper. They used a power rake attached to the bobcat to dig up the dirt and then mix the dirt and wood chips. We will let it sit for a season, or two, and let the chips disintegrate, at which time we will decide if we need to bring in fresh loam to be able to finish our yard. We also had them trim a few bushes. They removed some broken/dead branches from some of the trees that were left at the rear of our property. They gave us advice on caring for some of other other trees and bushes. They offered to give us advice on building a raised garden bed, if we didn't want them to do it for us. They also suggested we consider an irrigation system for our new yard, and mentioned that they were available for that project as well. I believe they thought the project would take 4 days. Steve told us that once they started, they would stay on the job until it was done. He kept that promise, even though it meant that the crew had to be here on Saturday, and the owner completed the power raking himself on Sunday, the 7th day. They said they wouldn't leave until we were satisfied. They said they take pride in their work. They meant both of those statements. And, in case you are wondering, no, we didn't know the owner or the employees, and had never heard of this company before we started looking for someone for this project. They weren't on Angies's List, but they were on Better Business Bureau with an "A" rating. It was nice to work with a company that takes great pride in what they do. Thank you, Steve, James and John!
