We were desperate. We got quotes from Eric and others. Nobody we contacted got back to us including Eric. We bought the wood ourselves. My husband stained it. Eric then got back to us. He sent wonderful carpenters. He lowered his bill to discount what my husband had done. They did a beautiful job.

I contacted Eric Gallagher in late April and left message regarding needing a quote. Eric called me back, and agreed to come by and look at the job. Eric visited my home on May 2, 2016 and submitted a quote for the work on May 7, 2016. I contacted Eric via email and text several days later telling Eric know everything looked good and requested he let me know when he could fit me in his schedule. Eric called me back and stated he would let me know and provided me with the name and number of an electrician and plumber. I reached out to Eric's contractors numerous times and spoke to them on the phone. They asked that I text them my address and number so they could contact me for coming by to give a quote and like Eric, I never heard from them. I contacted each of Eric's recommended sub-contractors twice at which point I found other contractors. At the time I didn't realize Eric would be the same way. Eric had informed me he was working on a large job that he got through a female high school friend, and I wasn't in a rush, so looking back I now see I was giving Eric the benefit of the doubt more than I should have. At the point when Eric's recommended electrician and plumber never seemed interested in providing a quote, I thought perhaps Eric wasn't interested in the job. My texts, emails and calls were going unanswered so on May 23, 2016 I finally left a message stating that if I didn't hear from Eric I would assume he wasn't interested in the job and find someone else. Eric called back shortly thereafter and stated he was interested in the job and he would get back in touch with me regarding schedule. Fast forward a week later to June 2, 2016 and still no contact so I called Eric around 6 pm, and he answered. Eric stated he should be available to start my job in two weeks. I stated that was sooner than I expected and he needed to order a sliding glass door which would take more than two weeks normally so Eric stated he would call me in one week when he had a better idea of scheduling. Exactly one week later no communication from Eric so I called and left a message asking for a simple call back (June 9, 2016). Next day (June 10, 2016) nothing, so called and left another message asking again for a simple call back. Monday, June 13, 2016 still no communication so called mid morning, Eric didn't answer but I did not leave a message. I then called again around 5:00 pm and again went to voice mail, at which point I simply informed Eric via voicemail that his communication was so poor I couldn't possibly use him at that point and I would find someone else. Communication with Eric is completely one way. My calls, texts or emails were sent every few days to allow Eric (assuming he was busy) a couple days to respond, but perhaps constant pestering is the method best used with this Contractor in which case I'm happy to find someone else. I am also happy I never sent Eric a deposit as I can only imagine how poor communication would be once he had my money. It makes no sense to me why a contractor would supply a quote and then not follow up. Perhaps this is too small a job, roughly 5k to start and then looking at 30k in kitchen remodel which was all disclosed during first visit. Or perhaps Eric is more a window and door contractor and structural work is way outside his comfort zone? Long and short is, in five weeks other than the initial quote communication, Eric never responded to any of my attempts at communication other than one time when I stated I'd find someone if I didn't hear from him. Are you willing to hire a contractor that either has no common courtesy to return a call, text or email to say " hey I'm busy I'll be in touch", or is afraid to tell you what is really going on?

Eric did an awesome job on both our business roof and window. Plan on hiring again when the snows gone, I recommend Eric to anyone in need of a trusted professional and all around great guy.

Eric provided detailed quoted prior to the job and followed through at the end to adjust for some materials I purchased directly and the added labor for one additional door installation we added. Eric and his assistant showed up on time, and worked daily weekdays until the project was completed. He was careful to zip tape around the windows and seams. The windows are fantastic- great quality, work nicely, and very well built including the screens. During the job, he and his assistant were careful to make sure all work was done accurately. Any issues, like carpenter ants in some of the old siding, were shown to us. They made sure those issues were dealt with so that there would be no later problems. The fascia trim looks great- the whole house looks great. A wonderful change. They even added a nice trim detail between the bottom of the siding and our foundation. Throughout the process they were professional, answering any questions we had, showing us what they would be doing. I would highly recommend Eric for any repairs like these, or for new construction.

The whole construction project went exceptionally smooth.
