Bob Apse Construction

Did not follow directions, failed to make bathroom handicapped accessible, failed to complete work as outlined, yelled and argued about customer’s complaints, thought if he could out talk me he won argument. Put bathroom door in to swing inside bathroom, did not remove closet, did not move sink over to make room for wheelchair, did not install washer and dryer hook up, did not install a handicapped height toilet, did not remove wall to join two bedrooms in to one. Did not remove old cast iron pipe in wall as directed, did not replace wiring under tub in basement. Was unable to move handicapped owner back in to his home.

Bob and his Associate Alex were terrific. They were dependable, courteous and true Craftsmen with great attention to detail and pride in their work. We are elated with the work that was done and would hire Bob and his crew without hesitation in the future. It’s nice to see that there are still Professionals and Craftsmen out there like Bob who take pride in their work and honor their commitments.

Bob and his crew did an excellent job! satisfied is an understatement to describe how happy I am to see the final product. Bob inherited a very difficult task from my previous contractor who was let go due to many quality and code violation issues. From the get go, Bob was able to quickly analyze and address the water issue in the basement by providing a very cost effective solution. Bob and his team made sure every issue and violation was addressed and corrected. His patience and calm approach in dealing with town inspectors have made the entire process much more smooth. Bob and his team are timely, professional and very easy to work with. I plan on working with him again in my future projects.

Awesome! Bob is great to work with. We had a vision and he was able to make it happen despite some of our unusual ideas. Smile. Bob is a craftsman and has attention to detail. He is easy to work with and caught our vision. He is timely and communicates well. He also was able to source other professionals as needed. (plumber/electrician/painter) Most recently renovated mudroom - tile floor and build bench. He does great work. Four thumbs up from us.

Bob did an excellent job on my kitchen remodeling project. He recommended a kitchen designer who worked out of Northeast Kitchens and Granite (Susan). She did an excellent job on helping me design the kitchen and Bob implemented the design. His crews were all neat and came on time. He recommended a place to get the granite counter tops (Rosy's) and they also did a very good job. The kitchen is beautiful and he was very conscientious when installing the cabinets. I was happy with every step of the project. And I was very nervous about starting the project because of problems I had heard about with other contractors. But the entire process was pretty stress-free and I am really happy with the results. Bob is very good to work with. The cost was higher than other kitchen remodels because some work spilled into the living room, dining room and hall way. But Bob made sure all the details were seen to. I plan on working with him on future projects.

It went great. Bob is very easy to work with. He addressed any questions or concerns very quickly. We added several items to the remodel that were not part of the original project. Bob was flexible and helpful. His team is skilled and polite. We'll definitely work with Bob in the future.

Very professional. Kept in touch with me as to start date. Once date said was very prompt; introduced me to workers; reviewed what was to be done. Execellent work performed, cleaned up site completely. Followed up to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. I found this contractor to very comfortable to work with.

Bob and his team were amazing. Bob's price is extremely competitive. Bob is a professional who has mastered his craft. Our project was challenging due to the size of the original 1954 bathroom. We had to remove walls, move doorways, take out closets to maximize space. The bathroom is slightly larger than 8x8 still on smaller side and utilizing every inch was critical to maximize space and required a contractor who knew what he was doing. Bob was that contractor. His carpentry and tile work was stellar. Bob offers suggestions along the way and keeps line of communication open thruout the process which is something we truly appreciated. At the end of each day they cleaned up and left construction zone in broom swept condition. The project was a success and bathroom is absolutely beautiful. We look forward hiring his company for our next project.

From start to finish we really liked working with Bob. He was very nice and courteous. He always came when he said he'd be there and if he couldn't make it he'd let us know. Our house is small so we wanted to open up the first floor. We had Bob take down the wall between the living space and dining/kitchen area. He installed three new posts to support the existing beam. He also replaced two windows in the kitchen and everything came out great! I would definitely recommend Bob to a friend and I would call him back to use his services again!

Bob replaced a large picture window with three smaller windows, replaced many split or rotting clapboards, removed a problematic back porch overhang, and repaired the damage caused by that structure. He also helped us redesign our front entry, working within the existing footprint and completely transformed what was a fairly lackluster entry to the house, with unevenly spaced columns, into something special. He took our ideas and made suggestions - like using cedar shingles for the facade to add some visual interest. When we couldn't envision how exactly we could 'fatten up' skinny columns, he told us about a house in the area that incorporated lattice into the column treatment and we figured out how to adapt that basic idea for our front entry. He is professional, reliable, and his cheerful, open good humor make him a delight to work with. During the construction there were several decisions to be made, and Bob's advice was a big help at every stage of the project. We would definitely hire him again.

The service went very well. It took about two weeks. He subcontracted out the electrical and plumbing work. I had about six people out total. I would tell a friend or family member that I think he is easy to deal with. He is very nice and capable. My son had used him for work too.

Bob is very thorough and meticulous. He previously had build a chair rail in our dining area, and his attention to detail and edging were amazing. Nice job! He is a skilled carpenter and easy to work with. As happens, once a project gets going, we have a tendency to make changes and he is very willing, and patient working with us. Also, Bob has from time to time made suggestions that may improve on an idea or save money. Bob has installed tile on the floor and walls, reframed windows, replaced windows and built a deck. He does have other workmen who come when he needs their expertise or the extra pair of hands. I believe there is not much he cannot do! I would gladly send pictures of his work and we highly recommend Bob.

Bob was great to work with. We had about 7 contractors come in to look at our project. Bob's price was right in line, and his responsiveness and personality during all phases of the project were excellent. The whole project took about 2 months, and required a lot of shuffling around so that our house continued to be functional. Bob was very accommodating and respectful of the fact that we still needed to be able live in our house (with an infant). We've done a number of renovations over the years and Bob was one of the best we've worked with. The quality and "pace" were both good. Once he started, he was onsite everyday. He made a number of decisions where he could have "cheated" but didn't. He was open to our ideas and choices when unexpected decisions came up (or when we changed our minds). He even helped us move furniture around which he certainly didn't have to do. Bob's plumbing and electrical subs were also very good to work with. The only aspect that wasn't great was the marble/counter top supplier. Their quality and price were good, but communication and service had a little bit to be desired. We will definitely contact Bob in the future for small and large projects. For all types of projects, communication and people doing what they say they are going to do is most important; Bob met both of these requirements without issue.

Bob was a pleasure to deal with. I initially called Bob with the job description. He had a lot going on and told me he'd be able to get to the job in a couple of weeks. When the time came, he called me to let me know the options and how he would proceed with the job. When Bob finished the job, it looked terrific. Very professionally done and a very reasonable price. I will definitely use Bob again for any future carpentry needs.

Fantastic installation of crown molding detail in my kitchen. Great craftsman and this detail gives the room a custom look and elevates the ceiling.

He came a couple of weeks before and gave an estimate. He did the work in one day and cleaned up well. I'm pleased with the work.

Bob was great. He is very easy to work with. He offers quality work at competitive prices. He comes when he says he will and lets you know when he won't be there. I was dreading a kitchen remodel, but Bob made it fairly painless. He tried very hard to make sure we had a working kitchen throughout most all of the process, and he managed to limit the mess to much less than I thought it would be. He fixed things along the way that needed to be addressed, and he always had good ideas and options for me to consider. Most of the time he made sure he was present when contractors came (like the electrician, plumber, and granite installers), and he did a great job coordinating with them. We were very happy with his work, the price, and the process, and we will use Bob again soon for our bathroom!

We are really pleased with the outcome and the experience. Bob was able to fit this moderate project in his schedule in a relatively short time which helped us coordinate a few other renovations prior to our move here. He provided a good overview and advice on the project and a reasonable quote. Once the work started he remained in contact and finished on time. The new passage between the two main areas of our home looks great. We'd definitely ask Bob to quote on future projects.

Fantastic contractor. He handled the permits and inspections and his trim and finish work is terrific.

He is great. I have also lined him up for another project. His price is reasonable. I travel quite a bit and so it is important that people can contact me when I am out of town on something. So from a communication stand point he has been great. He sits down with me and goes over the project. He gives me updates on the project and cost. I have been very pleased.

I only received an estimate from Bob. We decided to use a general contractor because we have many areas that need attention beyond carpentry work. If we didn't go with a general contractor, I would have used Bob. He was thorough, detail oriented, personable, and professional. I have no doubt he would have done a fantastic job! I am keeping his contact for future jobs.

I can't praiase Bob enough for restoring my faith that there are honest contractors out there that take pride in their workmanship and deliver what they say. Right from the beginning, Bob did not even hesitate at coming to take a look at my botched deck that was half done, most other builders were not interested in cleaning up some other guys mess. He was able to spot numerous issues that I was not even aware of at that point and came up with a plan to save as much of the materials and work that could be salvaged as I had alrady paid the other contractor 2/3rd of the total and was not sure if I could get any of it back. The whole project went great once he took it over. He basically rebuilt the whole deck and fixed many small issues that were overlooked or done sloppy by the first guy. On top of that he finished it in less time that it took first crew of 4 to botch it. The finished deck is great and exactly how I envisioned it. Bob and his helper were friendly, professional and a pleasure to have working at your house. He is an overall a great guy that you can trust and I look forward to being able to use him for future projects.

Overall , again a very good experience. Bob kept us informed as his schedule changed due to bad, rainy weather. He came, did the work and made suggestions for our continued work. Job was done well. He is very clean as well... no mess with Bob!

Bob came when he said he would, gave a quote. We set up a work date and he came as scheduled. Rain caused a short pause, But we were able to wait and he finished the work as agreed. He was very pleasant to work with and we will be Using him for future projects. Only positive things toreport.
