The job went quickly and thoroughly. John and his partner were personable and professional. Will call them any time I have a roof issue. We have been disappointed by others.

The job came out great: straight/plumb, and so on. The crew worked hard and cheerfully through some very tough weather to complete the job in a timely fashion.

We are extremely delighted and completely satisfied with our new roof and the workmanship provided by J & L. Starting with John who was knowledgeable and helpful during the estimate process. He answered all of our questions and put us at ease about such an expensive undertaking. His product offering was excellent with high quality shingles and warranty. We had four estimates provided as comparison. One was far more expensive and the others were similar, but we feel we got the best in workmanship and that's what counts. He and his crew showed up on time every day and put in a hard day's work. They work as a team and there is no goofing off. The crew was polite and answered any of our concerns as the work progressed. When they began tearing off the roof they found the reason there had been leaks from the shoddy job done by the original roofer and corrected everything. Because we had this done in early June they had to work between the rain drops. We were never left exposed as they covered all their work carefully and we had no issues. Each night they cleaned up and disposed of all waste and swept our large driveway area and ensured there were no nails or sharp objects to protect not only us but our dog. Just before the roofing was started we had the house painted and they took pains not to cause any damage to the walls by covering the area where they were working.Because we have a flat area near the entrance, they put in standing seam metal roofing to aid with ice dams,etc. They worked this in beautifully with the shingles and it just flows evenly to the viewer. John's company offers many other home improvement services.We would definitely hire him again.

They were excellent. I'm not easy to please but I was very pleased with the work they preformed. The price was a really good price. They were quite a bit lower than other companies that I checked out. They were professional and punctual.

Overall it went pretty well. They stared early and stayed late to make up time lost for rain. They were very concientious about picking up every day. John and his entire crew were very friendly and respectful. At first I wasn't very pleased with the number of visible seams in the flashing on the roof facing the driveway. The roof is very "wavy" due to the settling of our ancient house and apparently the seams were unavoidable. Everything has settled more and it is fine. What is most important is that John talked to us about it and wanted to do anything he could to make sure we were happy with the job. We would hire him again for work. He seems to love what he does and he wants to make sure his customers are happy and it shows.

They were fine. Jonathan Mayo is the proprietor. He was prompt and he was polite. He did just what he said he would. I would certainly call him again. He was a very nice person. It went beautifully. He arrived promptly at 9 when he said he would. He climbed right up on the roof. He brought shingles because my roof is too old to get the same shingles. He had some similar ones. It took him about an hour and that was it. He came down and left. I was very very pleased. The only thing was that I was thinking about things to do to make the house look good to sell it in a few years. Being a businessman, he asked me if I had considered aluminum siding because that would spruce up the house. You would expect an exteriors person to say that. Of course I don't want aluminum siding because I have got a nice wood clapboard house. That was the only thing that he suggested and my house doesn't need it. Aside from that, the job was wonderful. His work was wonderful. I would not even take that as a prompt because you would expect somebody to recommend other things that they do. He does a lot of things. His card said roofing, siding, decking, windows, skylight repair, chimneys, and roof shoveling. He pretty much does it all for the exterior of a house. I was very pleased with the price. I had nothing else to compare it with. I didn't even bother asking anybody else.
