Had an excellent experience hiring Steve and his crew to install an "emergency" chimney liner for our new oil boiler. Did not even know one was needed until middle of boiler install. Oops! Timing was Halloween in NH, so already getting very cold and most other chimney companies I called were booked for months. Steve stopped by the very evening of that first phone call and prepared an estimate. After patiently emailing back and forth with detailed explanations, it became obvious that he was going to "do it right", unlike my other low-ball estimate that was going to install a bare-bones liner similar to the previous one that had failed, and most likely would not have lasted long (not to mention potential condensation issues.) And BONUS - he rearranged his schedule to come that very SUNDAY (now early Nov) and get it done, so that we could stop shivering! AND he even honored his Angies discount. Liner install went AOK, furnace was online the very next day after my plumber came back to finalize set-up and we've been warm ever since. Took only 5 days from our initial phone call and plumber was impressed with their work on the liner. Kudos to Fireside Sweeps. Look no further. I can highly recommend. Thanks Steve & Lisa!!

They are going to do our property in New Hampshire. They did a good estimate. It was like $7,000. They had to call my son when they came out so he could go to the house, so he could have them look at it. I think it went pretty well. The lining was $2,583.20. The chimney was $4,255.34 They probably won’t get to it till spring now because they are filled up. I talked to Steve.

I was trying to purchase a home in Fremont NH and I was still in Colorado. Lisa, at Fireside Sweeps was so kind and helpful to have the techs go to the home that very day I called and reviewed the situation. She had a list of suggested issues and the ballpark cost to repair. It was a huge situation as the current chimney needed to be replaced. That knowledge helped me to get the price of the home I purchased reduced so that I could have the needed repairs done when I arrived from Colorado and closed on the property. After arrival I contacted Fireside Sweeps again via email and Lisa set up a time for Steve the owner to come and review the job personally. He was here today and revisited the repairs needed and tonight (Saturday) I received the estimate (via email) to completely remove and repair my chimney and is trying hard to find a date and time he can fit me into the schedule before the snow flies here. Price seems really fair and I will do another review when the work is completed. Highly recommended at this point.

What can I say about Steve. He's a consummate professional with over 30 years in the industry. A real pro that knows the solutions to problems and doesn't fall for the latest fads. I got a call from Steve while I was traveling and said that there was a big problem with my chimney specifically where the flue meets the connection to the chimney stack. Since he was in the process of relining the chimney it wasn't noticed until he got elbows deep into it. He said he'd have to do some demo to the inside because of the shoddy installation that was originally done. I told him to go ahead and do what needed to be done to make it properly usable since we burn about 5 fires per week in the winter. This was Friday afternoon when I received the call. The next thing that happened astonished me. I returned from my trip Friday night. Saturday morning, Steve was there with 3 other crew members. 2 guys had worked 1/2 day Friday. All 4 were there all day on Saturday. All 4 were there on Sunday. 2 more came back on Monday. They worked their tails off each day. My wife were certain that our estimate got blown out of the water. Further, I knew I wasn't being fleeced since there were 4 guys working full days on Saturday and, more importantly, Sunday. When they were done, Steve said it was the 3rd worst chimney he's ever worked on (over 30 yrs experience, mind you). When we got the bill, it was the same as the estimate. Let me repeat that....the SAME as the estimate. It should have easily cost 2x the estimate. I brought it up to Steve and said that this cannot be correct and that I must owe you more. He responded that he's a man of his word and that he should have scoped the chimney with a camera before giving the estimate. In other words, he owned his mistake and is a stand up guy (in addition to being an expert). I felt guilty and gave him an extra $100 or $150 bucks to take his guys out to dinner. Needless to say, Steve at Fireside Sweeps has a customer for life.

I contacted the provider and he responded to me immediately. He explained how he would proceed, what the cost was and how the cost was applied to future repair work. Unfortunately my employer was not as ready as she lead me to believe and I had to ask that we speak again in the future. This provider accepted that without rancor and promised to talk with me again when my employer was ready to move forward. I look forward to working with this company. No punches pulled, all information upfront.

The three workers were very friendly and positive about their work. They provided a detailed report within a day or so. We plan to have them complete the maintenance once we are clear on other needed renovations. We enthusiastically recommend them for any type of chimney work.

He was actually great. He did a great job. He seemed to me very honest, genuine. You could tell he was trustworthy. He went well above and beyond.

He arrived time in bad weather and went right to work. Obviously an expert in his work and able to explain in layman's terms what needed to be done and why. He did his work efficiently and cleaned up and disposed of refuse from the job. He agreed to do another job not related to cleaning the pellet stove flue--he replaced a defective portion of pipe on the oil burner flue with a part I had purchased earlier. He did not request extra payment although I wanted to pay him for his services and ultimately did pay him.

Basically performed a chimney sweeps reach on the Angieslist website and found and found Fireside Sweepers. Sent an email to set up an appointment . We settled on a date. When he came he was very professional. He performed an inspection and swept the chimney. He took pictures of the condition of the chimney and provided options . We told him that we were going to buy a woodstove insert and wanted options, as wel. He came back to us with 3 options for the chimney and wood stove installation. His communications were excellent. We Willis definetly use and recommend his services in the future.

I got an Angie's List coupon so I got a good price. The crew was professional, prompt and courteous. The only negative was that they did not include the cleaning of the glass doors as part of the chimney sweep.

I recently moved into my new home and wanted to get the chimney inspected and cleaned prior to use. Unfortunately my chimney sweep service I requested could not happen. Upon inspection visually and with the camera up in the chimney, there were several unsettling cracks throughout. A complete rebuild is the only option for me to operate this chimney safely. It was completely obvious once every defect was pointed out to me I couldn't use the chimney :( However, I could not be any more happy for the honesty and professionalism of Fireside Sweeps LLC. Steve had his team come in first to take a look at things and then Steve personally came to the house to inspect for himself. Being that I am only renting the house the decision to rebuild is out of my hands. Hopefully they can return to take care of this huge job. I would recommend anyone who needs chimney service to call Fireside Sweeps. Thank you so much!

Steve was professional and very prompt with communication and scheduling. He explained what he was going to do at every step, and was careful to put down a drop cloth in front of the fireplace while cleaning. He also tried to fix the loose glass doors that had been installed, and while he was not able to fix it, he relayed the information to me on what needed to be done to tighten up the doors. Steve was able to adjust his schedule a bit to accommodate my needs and come a bit earlier, which was great. He also put up with my dogs "helping" him with his job. Steve also honestly answered my questions about the work involved to put in propane, and also provided some suggestions for future work that would need to be done to cap the chimneys. He was very clear to indicate that it was work that was not required right now, but would be required in the future and he gave a rough estimate of the cost expectation for my information. I would definitely call him in the future and would recommend. I can't comment on the price, as I have not had this work completed previously.

Fireplace Sweeps was prompt, efficient and very thorough. The process of cleaning the fireplace brick (with 26 years of smoke stains) took place over two days and we had an excellent result. We were very overdue (several years) for a chimney cleaning and they did a great job of showing us areas that needed work and explaining what needed to be done. They were very neat and left no mess behind. I would absolutely recommend them to others and will certainly use them again.

Excellent overall experience with Fireside sweeps. A few of the team dropped by a few days before the scheduled job to get a scope of the job from the outside. Day of the job, they were punctual, professional, courteous and really did an outstanding job. The install into the fireplace wasn't easy as we have a rumford fireplace with small opening. Additionally, we purchased an enamel pipe and it was cut to size and perfectly installed without a chip. These guys are craftsman- highly recommend.

It went well, the guy who came really took the time to tell my husband exactly what needed to be done and different ways that they could do it or that we could do it ourselves. Although we did the work ourselves, if we were going to have anyone do it we would have called them back.

Steven and his crew are extremely professional. They have many years of experience, and it shows in the quality of their work, and the depth of their knowledge. Friendly and easy to work with, they showed up when promised, finished on time, and didn't exceed the agreed upon price. The newly rebuilt chimney is beautiful! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fireside Sweeps for any of the services that they offer.

It went well as far as we know. They came out and did an inspection. Recommended some corrective action. They came out on the 15 and performed the actions. 7/15.

Steven pointed out some safety issues, some we were aware of and others not. He was very professional and patient, answering our questions and providing input when asked. While an actual cleaning was not necessary, we were very pleased with his inspection and will be sure to call on him again in the future!

He was good in stating the safety issues. They did a good job and cleaned what he could get out of there.
