Family owned since 1972. We do all automotive repairs and services. Quality work and affordable prices. We can get any brand tire daily. Call or come in anytime with any questions or concerns.

"I have have had repeated great and positive experience at County Tire. There not afraid to work on lifted vehicles with oversized tires. Where other shops big and small are like nope can’t do it! They communicate with me and always take a few minutes to explain what there going to do my truck. There honest fair priced and quick to get your vehicle back on the road. I highly recommend these guy’s with a small town way of doing business but with modern capabilities. My front end always had a rough and loose feel to it I brought my truck to County tire to mount new tires and an alignment. I was told that an alignment would be a waste of money. They noticed my lift wasn’t done correctly and needed to be fixed before the alignment. I had the wrong upper control arms and it was wearing out other components causing my front end problems. now it’s so solid, rides nice, steering wheel doesn’t vibrate anymore, a huge difference. I always thought it was the big mud tires causing issues. I’m just glad to take my truck to someone who’s a professional mechanic that cares not just about the vehicles they work on but the customers who bring them there. County tire is my mechanic for both our vehicles for now on. Thank you."

Welding services FAQs

Welding is the process of using extreme heat—and, sometimes, pressure—to attach two pieces of metal. In contrast, metal fabrication is a more involved process that can include welding, sheet metal work, bending, and other forms of metal manipulation. Metal fabrication is a large-scale project that may or may not involve welding, while welding is more often a step in larger fabrication projects.

The average cost to hire a welder is about $300, with an average rate ranging from $65 to $125 per hour, depending on their experience and the project type and size. Aside from labor costs, some other charges you’ll need to pay include the cost of the welding material and the cost of the shielding gas that makes welding possible and safe. When you’re interviewing welders for your work, you can ask for an estimate based on your project specifics. In some simple cases, like welding gas lines or common welding projects, local welders may charge a flat hourly rate with add-ons if necessary.

There are a few things you can ask welders before you hire them to get an idea of their experience and ability levels:

  • Are you licensed and certified?

  • How long have you been in the welding business?

  • Do you commonly do the type of welding I need?

  • Do you offer any kind of warranty for your work?

  • Do you charge by the hour or by the project?

  • How long do you expect my welding project to take?

  • What steps do you take to minimize errors in your work?

You should not do your own welding unless you have the proper training and experience. Most home electrical systems can only handle MIG welding, which creates weaker bonds than TIG welding and won’t work on certain metals or metal thicknesses. Both welding forms usually require the use of shielding gas, which can be dangerous to store at home. Additionally, welding machines create temperatures of over 3,000 degrees, and the sparks can blind you if you don’t have the proper equipment. As such, it’s usually better to hire a professional welder for your welding projects.

Some states require welders to be licensed and certified, while others don’t. However, it’s always a good idea to hire a licensed welder, regardless of requirements in your area, especially if you need welding for structural components of your home or gas lines. Licensed welders have gone through training and testing to prove their skills, so they’re less likely to make a mistake that could be detrimental to your home. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to determine whether your potential hire has a welding license.
