It gives me no pleasure to say it, because I have done business with Home Advisor before, and might do so, again, though I have had decidedly mixed results... but I would recommend your dropping Kevin from your list of recommended Partners. 2 things that stood out: 1: This one was the lesser evil: I went to the trouble of asking him how he wanted to be paid, previous to the visit, and he said Credit Card. Afterwards, he suddenly announced that he preferred Cash. That meant that I could either force the issue or trouble myself to make a sudden, unscheduled visit to the ATM, all in order for him to not pay taxes on the Income...#2, and this is truly damning: He did an incredibly shoddy job, basically just plunking the unit down in the Cooler Cabinet, and beginning to recommend what *I* should do to complete the job. Needless to say, I pressed him on that, and compelled him to complete the job, but the fact that I actually had to pressure him to perform even a faint, sad semblance of the job that I was paying a premium for him to do was appallingly disgusting.

Came within an hour on a sunday to fix my furnace.

Kevin responded very quickly to my request for a relatively small job and was thorough and professional. The charges were reasonable and the work was done well. I would have him back without hesitation.

I have a Navien Combi system installed in my house. To be perfectly frank it's not what I would have installed now knowing a bit more about them but Kevin was willing to familiarize himself with the system and research a bit about the furnace. I've called a large number of HVAC companies and individuals and the resounding response I received was "we don't work on those" and the click sound of being hung up on. Kevin was willing to work with my schedule and was perfectly on time for a morning appointment which allowed me to finish off the rest of the things I had to do. A huge plus! It's been a home advisor win for this home owner.

I woke up in the morning at 6:15 and the heat was programmed to go on at 6AM, but it was COLD in the house. I looked up Gas Techs on Angies lList and filled put all the necessary questions. Within 30 seconds of finishing, I had a call from from Kevin, who was out walking his dog! We made an appointment for 10AM. He was here on time, fixed the furnace, and presented a most reasonable bill which we gratefully paid. A GREAT person and service experience as well!
