Made a few trips and replaced a few parts, but in the end it was not worth repairing.

Lew, was professional, and personable. He clearly knows what he is doing. It took a little longer than he said to get back with the parts, but I will chalk that up to him being busy. I kept his card and will not only use him again, but will recommend him to friends and family.

My front-loading washing machine stopped draining properly before the spin cycle. I called Lew's Appliance & Refrigeration based on positive reviews on Angie's List, and I can tell you definitively that if you have an issue with any appliance in your home, Lew should be your first call. I left a voicemail for him, describing my problem, and he called me back within an hour. Given that we talked on the Thursday before a three-day weekend, I was fully anticipating that he wouldn't be able to come to my house until the following week. I was pleasantly surprised, then, when he offered to come out on the Friday before the long weekend. My kids keep the washing machine running frequently, so I was thrilled to not have to go through the weekend with the washer out of commission. On the day of the repair, Lew arrived promptly and was very pleasant to deal with. He quickly got to work, and diagnosed and resolved the problem within an hour. He answered all my questions and he also offered me several maintenance tips, to avoid future issues. Not only did he offer tips about maintaining my washing machine and keeping it in good running order, but he also gave me some tips for maintaining my refrigerator, my circuit breaker box, my water valves and my dishwasher. Lew is very knowledgeable, exceedingly professional and his prices were extremely fair. I will absolutely call Lew again in the event that I encounter any other problems with my appliances, and I can't advise you strongly enough to do the same. You won't be disappointed. Thanks, Lew!

Called Lew on a Sunday morning as our Refrigerator had died over night. Lew came over within a few hours and diagnosed the problem as the compressor and electronic control board . He said it was probably going to be too expensive to fix. Even though it was a Sunday he only charged $88 for the Service call. Lew came back on Monday and narrowed the problem down to one control board. By Tues. evening he had the board installed and the Refrig was working. While this all cost $400 for the Service calls and parts, we were looking at over $2,000 for a new refrig. that would take two weeks to get here. We were very happy with Lew's service and the results. Strong recommendation to anyone looking for appliance service.

Realized on a Saturday morning that our fridge had stopped working. Our first call, offered us a Monday appointment sometime between 8-12, or Tuesday between 8-10! Second call was to Lewis at about 12:00, Sat. Lewis asked when we needed the fridge fixed by, and we replied, as soon as possible please. Lewis told us he'd get to us somewhere between 2 and 3 on Sat and that he'd called me about 20 mins out. Lewis called 20 out and arrived at about 2:45 and was all done by 4 pm. He even had the necessary part with him, which was a huge plus, on a Saturday afternoon. Lewis's response, sure left the alternative vendor a sorry second. Two thumbs up for Lewis

Called on 13 and said would come between 1-3pm on 14th and call before he came. He came a bit after 3:00 dove into problem - took apart and fixed about 40 minutes later. made few suggestions re soap etc.. - great service will use again..

Leweis is very professional and friendly. He did a great job fixing our Viking dishwasher at a very fair price.

Lewis is a very pleasant and professional young man. He came into my home and immediately assessed the job I wanted done. He had to work in a very small space and managed quite nicely. Unfortunately the new appliances I bought were too big for the space. Lewis had many suggestions and we tried to figure out a solution. The door opening needed to be deeper to accommodate closing the bifold doors. This was not a job Lewis could tackle and suggested a carpenter come and make the adjustments to the door frame. I'm not from this area and didn't know of a carpenter. He was very helpful with a suggestion. I called the carpenter and he'll be here within 2 weeks. Lewis did install the dryer vent.... I was explaining to him a problem I was having with a ceiling fan. He took a lot of time looking at the fan and trying to figure out the problem. I was very grateful. Then I asked him questions regarding converting from a propane gas stove to an electric stove. He spent time looking at my electrical box and also took the time to go over pros and cons of both types of stoves. Lewis only charged me for installing the dryer vent kit. This is the kind of person you never mind having in your home. I felt he treated my home like he would his own home. When Lewis was leaving he told me he had a network of people he knew with a variety skills and I could call him if I needed something done. He also told me about your company and how it works, so I joined...... I was very lucky to have found a great contractor like Lewis. If this is the type of contractors Angie's List uses, I won't hesitate to look for my next contractor through you.

Lew's was very professional every step of the way. We had to wait for a part but he provided regular updates during that time. He didn't rest until everything was working properly. Lew is exactly the type of pro that you want to be fixing your appliances or telling you if it is worth it to fix them (as compared to replacing). We will definitely be calling Lew again for any appliance related issue.

Arrived punctually, worked quickly, made a diagnosis, attempted to fix, then identified that he needed a part. After his visit, for which her charged $125, I learned that the needed repair was covered under a service agreement, so completed work with other provider. Lew said part would be at least $500. Actual cost of part was $230. Additional part (not recognized by Lew) also needed, costing a little over $150. So, Lew's diagnosis was incomplete, he over estimated cost of one part and did not recognize the need for another part and charged a lot for a diagnostic visit.

...said he would order the part, ok...charged me $30.00 more than I could of ordered it for. He said it would take 2-3 days. After a week I called him. He said the part was in and would be at my house that night. He arrived on time started to "repair" my washing machine. My husband went up stairs to offer him a drink, he could tell he was having a hard time with the repair. A 1 year 9 month old Kenmore top loader HE. After a while he started to blame the machine saying it was not a good brand. Then told us it was fixed. My husband asked him to run the machine threw a cycle. We did, it still didn't work. Long story short, as he was walking out the door my husband and myself kept asking questions, he handed me the check for the part and installation charges, $225.00 then told me if my husband got the machine to work to "send him something". He was a very nice person but not a trusted repair man!!!

Lew was super responsive; came out the day of my call and fixed the problem that same day (he had the part he needed with him!). When I was concerned that the freezer wasn't working the following day (it took 24hrs to re-freeze) he came back out - on a weekend! - and confirmed that everything was in working order. Best repair experience we've had in years! I've already hired him to replace the motor on our dishwasher.

Discovered very quickly the "dogs" and motor needed replacing. Order part and returned promptly in 2 business days arriving 45 mins early!!! Installed quickly and cleaned up with a polite, respectful demeanor. Awesome!

Lew answered his phone at 551 in the evening sympathized with our dilemma and came right over as he was on a call in the next town. He was friendly, cheerful, confident, and accommodating. He figured out the problem, had the parts available, and repaired the refrigerator .We learned a few refrigerator care facts from him too. He was so pleasant it seemed as though we had a friend over.After all it was supper time and he still made himself available for us.
