Called a number of alarm companies to try and find cheap, as the general service is pretty commodity like. The prior owners of the property had Eastern and I just figured I'd try someone else. Unfortunately, alarm companies tend to alter the hardware of your system to prevent another company from taking over the equipment without and expensive equipment replacement fix. I called the owner of Eastern pretty upset that he commandeered my hardware and he explained why and indicated if I'd sign a term contract he'd meet the price I found from another comparable service. After that he came out in person to re-establish the service and test the equipment. He trained me on the system and explained all the features and nuances. Felt pretty good that I'd hired them after that visit. Had a follow-up call to his office a few months later and he returned the call in person within the hour.
