 + -1 moreNote- this is not a review about the quality of work. I emailed the company via Angie's list but the company never responded. In my opinion, even if you are busy I feel the professional thing to do is to let the person know and not just ignore them. It does indicate what you can expect if you do enter into a contract and what you can expect in terms of responsiveness and professionalism.

 + -1 moreJoe did a great job. He brought all the equipment he needed. It went in 3 phases the first was removing heavy debris from the gutter. While he went along doing that he also sprayed a cleaning solution to the out side of the gutter and surrounding area. As he removed the debris he placed it into a small bucket that was emptied into a waste receptacle. Once that was completed a jet nozzle was attached to a wand that was fed by a pressure washer. Joe went the length of the gutter to remove any fine debris. A hose was then used to clean the down spouts. When that was complete the pressure washer with a second wand was used to remove the cleaning solution from the outside of the gutter and surrounding area. The gutter looked great. Better than I expected.
Description of Work: I had Joe clean out my gutter on the front of my house.

 + 0 moreJoe has done work for me in the past. This is my second time as I was very satisfied with his first job. I called him to give me an estimate on painting my sun porch. He came over within a day and emailed me back that same day with an estimate. (the quote was well within expectations considering the size of the job) He came back at my convenience to have me choose a paint color from chips he had. We discussed timing. He came back again and painted swatches to confirm the color. He returned on the day and at the time we had agreed on to start the job. The enclosed sunporch has wall to wall carpeting,and ensured everything was protected. He took down blinds from the 3 windows, and agreed to take them to the dump for me. On the first day he had completed ceiling, trim, prime coat and the first color coat. He then left for the day because he wanted to make sure the first coat dried so he could check that coverage was adequate when he returned the next day. He returned promptly the second day, and applied a second color coat to ensure the final color was a desired. He installed the new blinds, and cleaned up after himself (including vacuuming the rug) The entire job was well within the quoted price and finished before the estimated time. I found Joe to be very friendly, and accommodating. He uses his time efficiently and is very industrious.

Description of Work: Joe painted my entire condo when I moved in in 2005. He did an excellent job, and his bid was the most competitive of the three bids that I obtained. He turned up on time, and he was thoughtful, flexible, knowledgeable, and conscientious. For example, I have a ceiling that was painted or lined with a material that made the painting unusually difficult -- once it was painted, the new paint would flake. Joe figured out a way to remove or seal the offending material and get a smooth finish. It took him more time to fix the problem than it would have taken to simply paint it, but he didn't charge me more -- even though there was no way he could have anticipated the problem when he provided the estimate. Perhaps Joe's knowledge comes partly from his curiosity, his pleasure in trouble-shooting, and his sense of professionalism: he was interested in the brand of paint that I wanted, and even though it was obscure, tracked it down. He is one of those contractors who makes everything easy. And he is very easy to have around the place: I trust him completely: to do the job well, to clean up well, and to graciously and promptly attend to any detail that I want him to revisit. It's because Joe is such a good painter and contractor, and a such a kind and reliable person, that I've hired him for every painting job since I moved in. (My place gets a fair amount of wear and tear, necessitating "refresher" coats of paint.) I strongly recommend Joe Copp for interior and exterior painting.

 + -1 moreI put out a request on Craigslist and this guy was the first one to respond and "spike the job". He instantly emailed with his phone number. I called and left a message. I should've known when he didn't return my call after I left a voice mail right away. I GOT FORTY RESPONSES and I didn't want to tell them "no" as I had a sneaking suspicion the guy was a clown. Its a good thing I didn't. He blew me off and ONLY AFTER I left an email and voice mail that I would be posting on Craigslist about his business did he respond. He claimed he "could not find the house number on the street" in an email and HAD THE HOUSE NUMBER WRONG - yet - in the email history RIGHT BELOW HIS COMMENT the correct number was there. What a waste of time and potentially missing good merchants. He seemed like a good deal - he is a typical bozo.
Description of Work: Labor - stacking wood (2 cords) at my house while I'm in taking care of an infant and can't be outside.
