Description of Work: Contractor said he was able to replace a rubber membrane roof, but left it with many large bubbles some up to 8" in diameter. Have had to have him come back 2 times to repair areas that became unglued and were leaking. Wish I had picked someone else.

siding, replacement windows
+ 0 moreThe guy that was doing the siding started to put them on and didn't ask me how much I wanted exposed to the weather. He ended up spacing the boards more than I wanted. He also didn't pre-drill the holes on the siding which caused splitting. I got the feeling he didn't know what he was doing. Also they put on the windows without the proper flashing and didn't use caulking behind the nails. Again I felt they didn't know what they were doing.
Description of Work: They installed new windows and siding.

chimney repair
+ -1 morethe brickwork was repaired but the lead flashing was supposed to be replaced during the work. I was charged extra for the lead and told it was replaced. two months later I had my roof replaced and the roofers had to change the "new" lead because it was extremely brittle (due to age) luckily they did it as part of their work. He also said that the chimney would be sealed after the repairs and this wasn't done.
Description of Work: I had my chimney repaired.

When I asked John to fix the problem he stated that he had several jobs that were in the tens of thousands of dollars and that my house was not a priority.He demanded payment for his services and refused to return. I offered him a partial payment and he refused it and sued me . I eventually paid him the full price because he apparently needed the money more than me and to take a day off would have been more costly for us. I have since completed the job myself for about triple the original amount. This guy is a con-man.
Description of Work: We asked John to paint the trim on our house and around the windows. I left him two cans of old paint on the porch so that he could use them to match the original trim on the house when buying new paint. When reviewing the paint job my wife and realized that the paint still looked wet several days after completion. As it turns out John not only used the old rusty can meant for a sample but only painted the bad spots and not the whole trim. In addition, he painted all the windows shut and simply stated when questioned that he thought they never opened anyway. Furthermore, he spilled paint all over the deck and roof and didn't mention this until questioned then tried to sell me more services to power wash his mess. I had to repaint the trim, scrap, sand, reopen and repaint windows myself. I would never use this man for any work as it seems he is not as advertised.

+ 0 moreWe were pleased to have John Lavorgna do more work for us. Overall we are delighted with the entire project results. As usual, John and his crew finished the work quickly and expertly in two days. They left barely a trace that painters had been here, except for the excellent paint job completed.
Description of Work: Prepped and painted downstairs hallway, den, kitchen, dining room, stairwell, and upstairs hallway - including all ceilings! Also installed 3 new light fixtures (kitchen and dining room).

+ 0 moreWe hired John LaVorgna to paint the trim of the exterior of our home in New Hampshire. The quality of the work was horrible. The list of problems included - poor quality sanding, sloppy painting that went beyond the trim to the clapboards, uneven paint, numerous splashes and drips AND he painted 6 windows closed! In addition, Mr. LaVorgna did not purchase new paint but instead used an old half-empty can we had left for him to match the color. Lastly, Mr. LaVorgna spilled a large amount of paint on our deck and attempted to sand the deck to cover the mess. We would not recommend Mr. LaVorgna for any work.
