From the very start the salesman, Dawson, was very professional and helpful. He answered all my questions with candor. After I decided to purchase, Dawson made contact with the local propane dealer and had them call me. Everything about the installation went as planned, with very little effort required by me. They took care of everything perfectly. I have a good friend who is an electrician and he told me the price is about what he would charge; but he didn't want to do the job. Three guys showed up on the day of installation and completed the job flawlessly, we were without electricity for just an hour. A second trip was required to start-up and test the generator after the propane was installed. Finally a third trip to fill in the trench. All-in-all it was exactly as I hoped it would go. Job well done!

From the start, Dawson was up front, honest, and answered all of the questions that we had. He did not try to up sell any of the full generators as we really only needed the 14kw. Everyone that worked on the project was professional, on time, and took us all through the details step by step. I would recommend them to anyone.

Quality, punctuality, responsiveness and professionalism were all excellent. I would hire them again if I needed their services.

They are rude, unpleasant and unreliable. We bought the generator two years ago and bought a warranty on it, but they never came back to maintain it. I would never use this company again and would never recommend them.

Frank Bernardi, salesperson, went over costs and what's included generally, but didn't fully explain the 15-circuit limitation for the 14k generator. He mentioned it, but didn't elaborate, which had to be done later through e-mail. I needed detailed explanation of what and quot;2-pole 20and quot; or and quot;1-pole 30and quot; meant so I could figure out which circuits to choose. Also, he never sent a detailed estimate of costs UNTIL I agreed to accept the proposal. I signed 3 contracts: overall Sales Contract for $11,088 (plus MA tax and gas permit), which required a 50% deposit; Gas Contract; and Sales Contract fr GenTracker Remote Monitoring Three weeks after I signed the contracts, the 2 installers arrived on time and worked hard both full days -- they did all the generator siting, trenching, and equipment set-up of generator, transfer switch, and GenTracker. Very professional and hard-working, with good customer service skills. I had to keep on top of the company to find out when the electrical inspection and gas inspection would take place. Turned out the electrical inspection wouldn't take place until the day of the warranty startup (which hadn't been explained until I asked). I didn't need to be present for the gas inspection, but I did need to be present for the electrical inspection. When the warranty start-up occurred approximately 3 weeks after installation, the inspector was dismayed to see the trench had already been back-filled by the gas company. The start-up guy, Rick S., performed his work on the generator and BRIEFLY went over the machine display and oil dipstick. I though I was all set to go a week before Super Storm Sandy. However, Rick had failed to set up the GenTracker. I discovered this ONLY after realizing I never got an e-mail or txt message about the first week's generator exercise. So Rick had to come back to finish the job. I now receive an e-mail and txt when the generator comes on and another e-mail and txt when it shuts down.

I was very happy with the professionalism and expertise that Powers Generator provided. I opted to go with them as I wanted and quot;one throat to chokeand quot; on this install, and they handled everything from sourcing the generator to installation, inspections to a ready to go system. I wanted to work with a firm that specializes in generators, so that I knew I'd get the best expertise for the job. I would definitely hire them again, and recommend them for a new installation. NOTE: Angie's List might have the wrong address for Powers Generator Service, as it is located in Swanzey, NH.

TERRIBLE! Slow to respond to request for appointment. Then didn't show up when they were supposed to (said there was a scheduling snafu). Then, gentleman showed up (nice guy) to start/explain the generator for me--not what I called for. He spent 15 minutes at my house. Said they couldn't help because the generator had been installed improperly. Week later, I receive a bill for $227.00. I was charged $55 for 1/2 hour of service and $172 for TRAVEL!!! Mind you, I contacted them because their website said they had a location 10 miles from my house. DO NOT use these people--they are unresponsive, unhelpful and EXPENSIVE
