+ -1 moreI was astounded at how FAST I had someone here to look at the problem. I was sure that because it was a Saturday we might wait all weekend before we heard from anyone. They picked up the phone at 7am on Saturday and had a tech out there by 8am. Once they started working they kept going until it was done. And that was 3 hours later, not all day. We felt the price was remarkable and was amazing given we called on a weekend. I didn't quote the price because it all depends on what size pump and in our case tank you need. But both my husband and I feel it was a very very good price.
Description of Work: Woke up in the morning and turned on tap to make coffee. Nothing. Panic ensued when I realized I didn't have any water. Called Derry Well at 7 am. By 8 am I had someone here to look at the problem. Diagnosed as bad pump. It was 15 years old and tech explained they may last 10 years but will stop working at some point. He looked at our tank and determined it, too, was very old. He suggested it be changed out at the same time. We decided it was a good idea. He sent his assistant to pick up replacements while he set to work pulling pump. He described everything he was doing to my husband while the work was being done. We told him we have a problem with sand. He gave us two options. We could buy a special piece to put on the pump (expensive) or we could use a piece of nylon pantyhose, cover pump end and it would work for quite a while (free). Went with free and still doing a great job. Fast, efficient, cleaned up after the job, took away all the trash and best of all VERY REASONABLE. Prices are different depending on size of pump you need.
