They began work promptly, as promised. Work was done daily and we were provided with updates and photos documenting the progress. Everything looks beautiful. We are especially impressed with both quality of the materials and quality of the installation. It looks great, even without the baseboards installed yet. Special care was taken with cutting and fitting around doorway moldings and also where tile meets hardwood. We noted, too, that the thick hardwood actually makes the house feel more solid and secure. This is a bonus that we didn't expect. Don also provided links with information about how to care for this beautiful work.

Excellent - the old floor tile was removed and new floor tile installed. I am thrilled with how it looks. I had picked out a different tile grout and Don suggested a different color which matched perfectly and looks fabulous. He is very professional with high quality work. This is the fourth job that he has done for me and I would recommend him highly.

Only one word describes the How'd it go and that was Superb. They arrived on the day and time promised to do the appraisal and measuring. The estimate was sent on time and was reasonable, especially considering the work that was done. The work was started and completed as quoted. There were no problems. They took all the work of removing the old flooring and installing the new and paid attention to details such as aligning the newly installed flooring with present flooring in such a way that it made a positive impact to the viewer. Can't say enough good things about the entire process and the flooring looks great. Thank You.

It went extremely well. Don was easy to work with and contacted me the same day that I made an inquiry (on a weekend). I initially described the job and measurements and Don scheduled a time to come walk through with samples and to take final measurements. His communication was excellent even when they had to move the start time up by a half-day. They performed quick and professional work and left the workspaces clean afterward. Don provided some follow up tips on treating the trim before painting. It's hard to find dependable service providers but I would not hesitate to depend on Don for a future project.

Don was clean and professional, and very available communication wise. He did good work on budget and was very aware and understanding that a family was living in the home during the work. I was very happy that Don did the work himself and didn't have strangers in my home, and found him very easy to work with on all levels. The work was done well, and was done in a timely fashion. I'd recommend him and would hire him again.

Don is very helpful and readily available to come to your home with samples and will come multiple times until you feel comfortable in your decision and design. He is very flexible. Always professional and ensures that the job is done right and done well. When the job is done he doesn't wrap it up and you never can contact him again. You can call him after the job is done with any concerns and he will make time to come by until you are satisfied.

Don was great to work with. He was very good about getting samples to me, and responding to emails/messages. He did the work while I was out of town, and was completely trustworthy in my home. He even texted me photos of the work, while I was away. Is definitely use him again, and recommend him.

We are very pleased with the job that Don did. He initially came out to our house to give an estimate and he also brought samples and described in detail what the job would entail and made sure to answer all of our questions. When I wished to see the samples again before making a final decision, Don met us to look at them again. The job was completed by the date arranged and the quality and workmanship was wonderful. We are happy with the overall experience and end result, and would definitely use Don again!

Both Don and Cam were very professional and took the time to explain the whole process to us. Cam worked very hard each day and the work area was spotless. He took great care in putting down the floor and the finished project looks amazing! This company took the time to provide amazing customer service and a quality job. We will definitely hire them again for other flooring jobs in our home.

Don is neat and organized. The stone and concrete were broken up, loaded into buckets and carried to his truck for disposal. Then the exposed subfloor need shimming and repair. He has to build up the subfloor 2" then installed new hardwood. we told Don we only had four days instead of five to complete the project and he made that happen. Don is a pleasure to have working in your home. Have used him several times and will do so again.

The Install exceeded my expectations. Don arrived on time with his Tile floor designer/installer Corey; they were very professional and courteous, the complete process was explained in detail. Don and Corey when over the design my husband and I wanted, made sure we had the grout/caulking etc. and explained how the transition from our hardwood in dining room to the porcelain tile would look , they explained in detail the metal transition strip that would be used and assured me of no tripping hazard. I was so impressed from the beginning. Corey is "Awesome" he is a true craftsman, he laid out the pattern for the floor and he measured and designed the backsplash with such precision he used all the left over glass/stone tile I had from my bathroom reno. he mixed my daltile 6x6 ceramic tile with the glass/stone tile in a beautiful design to suit our taste and kitchen style, the work is excellent he took his time to get every tile perfect. Corey was completely thorough, he cleaned up and left us with a floor straight out of a better homes and gardens magazine, spectacular. Corey is so Meticulous, his attention to detail is amazing. My husband and I love love love the work he did; we are soooooo happy!! I can't thank Don and Corey enough. I would definitely use them again and recommend this team of expert to anyone who needs superior tile work.

I designed a kitchen backsplash and had identified the ceramic tile that I wanted to use for the project. Initially we were going to do the project ourselves to save money but decided that the process of cutting the tiles to fit around outlets, switches, etc. was a job for a professional. We identified Don Marcotte through Angie's List, contacted him and another tiler for estimates. Don gave us the lower estimate and made a substantial effort upfront to get our business (unlike the other bidder who didn't make much effort at all). Don came to our house to look at the job; gave us advice about tile and potential issues with installation; looked for and sent us samples of alternative, less expensive tile to consider; communicated with the tile manufacturer that we had initially chosen and decided to stay with; e-mailed back and forth with us re: questions we had about costs and procedure; and overall, was extremely responsive to us before we had even given him a deposit. He gave us the option of ordering the tile but it was simpler to let him do it so we only had one bill to pay. The Fireclay tile we purchased was expensive and is NOT included in the cost of the service stated above. As soon as the tile order arrived at our house, we scheduled a date for installation. Don arrived that day on time with a second person, Cory, who was the person sub-contracted to do the work. This was the only surprise in this project. We assumed we were buying Don's many years of expertise and instead he had given the job to a young man he had trained and was now working on his own and who occasionally subcontracted jobs for Don. I was initially put off that Don didn't tell us, but assumed that he would not have given the job to someone else if he wasn't confident he could do it. Over the next three days Cory demonstrated the skill, attention to detail, and responsiveness of a professional. My design was not a standard or typical tile pattern and Cory was able to both follow my design and think through some changes that were required that I hadn't anticipated. I think the complexity of my pattern and a couple of unexpected problems with fitting the tile to the wall meant the job took him longer than the two days they had planned, requiring much of a third day. However, Cory cleaned up after every day and we were able to use our kitchen throughout, with minimal disruption to our life. The finished backsplash is beautiful, with the tile pattern and grouting neatly and consistently done, and silicone filler between the backsplash and the counter almost invisible. We asked that Don come for a final look to ensure it met with his standards and he came as promised and on time. Don is a very personable and straightforward person to work with. We are extremely happy with our new backsplash and highly recommend his company.

Don provided high quality flooring at a very competitive price. Don was punctual and delivered as promised. Corey provided installation of the flooring and did an outstanding job. He was punctual, professional, and cleaned up each day. Corey and Don worked with me to schedule the installation in a manner that provided the least household disruption. An excellent job at a reasonable price.

We found Don Marcotte's company online and called to schedule a time for him to come to our house to get a scope of the project. After measuring the area to be tiled, Don then asked us to meet him at his showroom in Barrington to select the tile. We described the style of tile we were seeking, Don was able to choose several samples from his display and this made choosing the tile much easier. I was not overwhelmed by looking at many tile selections. Don explained all the steps of the process, as well as the materials he would be using. We left a deposit and told him, we would call when the space was ready for his work. After calling him to say we were ready, Don called back quickly to set the installation date. He called the day before to confirm the installation appointment and Don and his workman arrived promptly the next morning. Don showed Cody the space to be tiled and helped him get set up and then left. Cody carefully protected the area near to where the tile was to be installed and got to work. Cody was very friendly and answered any and all questions well. He finished the tiling on the first day at the time he predicted, carefully cleaned up and said he would be back the next day at the same time. He arrived the next morning and quickly got to work grouting the tile. Again, he was extremely careful and neat. When he finished the back splash looked wonderful and with very little cleaning, we set the kitchen back to order.

the project was a success. Don was very responsive to all our requests and questions and completed the project on time and slightly less than his quote. We will be working with Don again in the future for some other tile projects we have in mind.

I called at the end of a work week and Don had Corey here Monday morning at 8am to fix the issue. I am very happy with my experience with Don and his crew, Corey and Cam, and would definitely use their services again. They were professional, prompt, polite and did what was asked.

Don's crew was great! They were professional, friendly, thoughtful and as I mentioned before, took care to keep the house clean coming and going (put down tarps) and very easy to have around. They worked steadily and got the job done quickly with minimal disturbance to me. The floor looks great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
