BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! Want to spend hundreds of dollars per year to have a generator, snowblower, and Honda lawnmower maintained and service only to get your equipment back dirty, seemingly unattended, and often not working properly? How about getting the wrong snowblower delivered to your house after the company has had it sitting around their shop for two month? How about paying $137.00 dollars for these guys to put a governor spring back in place -- not replace it, mind you, but simply reconnect it? Like a "customer service" manager who hangs up on your when you ask for a refund of the outrageous price of reattaching the spring and getting back a lawn mower that still doesn't start, despite telling the service dept before they picked up the mower that it starts intermittently and they should look at the carburetor? Moreover, how about the service manager implying that you, a four to five year long customer, are lying about this company delivering the wrong snowblower, repeatedly saying, "we don't service snowblowers!" Given the shoddy work they do, I now believe the service manager when he says "we don't service snowblowers." In fact, they don't service snowblowers, generators, lawnmowers, or anything else you give them. Nor do they return your call when you speak to the general sales manager about the issues mentioned here and who assures you he'll speak to the general manager, and get back to you with an answer on your refund request. They certainly can collect some serious cash for the little or seemingly no service they provide,only bad service and empty promises from the top. Yet, when the phone don't ring, or when your "serviced" equipment don't work, you can be sure it's Nashua Outdoor Power Equipment. If your answer to any these questions was "yes," I like to be abused as a customer, by all means buy from this company. If you're smart, however, you'll go elsewhere. You have been warned. Note that all the bad reviews about this company have the same issue: bad service. Think there's a theme here?

Dropped off edger. Very specific with the instructions because I had the exact same thing happen two years earlier with a snow blower repair. I told them to spend up to the $45 minimum service charge to diagnose a power edger. I specifically told them not to spend more than that; if they needed to spend more, call with estimate. Dropped off edger 11/15/15. Nearly three months later, I get a message that it was ready for pickup. Stopped by and was handed a bill for $179. I told them I did not authorize them to spend $179 to repair an edger that could be purchased new for $165. Manager was supposed to call me. Never returned calls. Finally got him on the phone. His attitude was abrasive and belligerent. He told me that they had to spend that much to ?properly diagnose? the problem. I could not convince him that it was unreasonable to perform that much work without authorization, likening it to taking your car into a shop and asking them for a quote to fix your transmission and then having them repair the transmission in order to provide an ?estimate? and expecting you to pay whatever they charged. I tried explaining that it was their choice, that at some moment, when they realized that they would not be able to estimate the repair cost for $45, they should have simply called and said ?in order to estimate the repairs, we need to do xxxx, which costs $xxxx. Doing what they did is dishonest. They have done this to me twice. I thought maybe the first time it was a miscommunication but I know now that it is the way they choose to do business. I would strongly NOT recommend them to anyone who cares about repair costs.

I chose Nashua Outdoor Power Equipment (NOPE) because they were an official warranty and repair center for Torro, the manufacturer of the lawnmower I purchased last summer. In early October, while using the lawnmower it seized up on me. I checked it for oil, and their was oil in it, so I assumed something inside the engine must have failed. I looked up warranty repair centers for Torro in my area and Nashua Outdoor Power Equipment (NOPE) was on the list. When I contacted them, they stated that they were busy with snow blower repairs and suggested that I wait until after the first of year to bring my mower in to be looked at. With the snow starting to melt, I decided it was time to drop off the mower to see what caused the failure. The person behind the counter was new, so check in took a while, but I was understanding as you could tell he was learning the process. What was a bit disappointing was that there was no one there to train or supervise him directly. He had to constantly keep leaving his computer to get help. A bad indication from the start ...., within 2-3 hours after dropping off the lawnmower, I received a call stating their was no oil in the lawn mower. I was told that it would be a $45 charge for assessing the mower. When I insisted that there had been oil in it last fall, I was told that I could have them tear the machine down for further evaluation, but that would cost $90. I decided to take it somewhere else. When we picked up the machine they were busy, and the same new clerk was struggling with the register. In addition to the $45 charge, they charged an additional $2.50 for shop supplies. I can't imagine how they could justify $47 to check the oil, but they did. When I got the lawn mower home and checked the oil, yep you guessed it, it was full of oil. I will never be going back to Nashua Outdoor Power Equipment (NOPE) again.

My husband and I bought a house in early January and after shoveling two feet of snow in a week HAD to get a snowblower. Sears, Home Depot, Lowe's (the usual crowd) were all sold out. In a moment of desperation we went to Nashua Outdoor Power Equipment expecting to overpay. Ron helped us pick out a unit that was right for us. It was more than we had initially planned to spend at a Sears or Home Depot but after comparing prices on Google Shopping, we had received $200-$300 in savings. Ron scheduled us for delivery on Friday when we got another 8" of snow. The snow eventually stopped and the unit was delivered, set up and ready to go, later that afternoon. Before I could even get my shoes on and open the garage, the gentleman doing the delivery was snowblowing a path up my unplowed driveway. He took an extra 15 minutes out of his delivery schedule to show a newbie homeowner like me how to use the unit. I really appreciated the extra level of service they provided and now I don't fear snowstorms any longer! Thanks!
