Boudreau Painting

Denise and Donna were so great that we kept asking them to paint more. They did a beautiful, professional job on everything we asked for. They could not have worked harder or done a better job. They helped us figure out what should and should not be painted as we have lots of natural woodwork. The results are perfect and we have received many compliments. Actually missed them when they left and hope to have them back soon. Great painters who took their work very seriously. They definitely went above and beyond. Our home could not look better! We contacted John for a quote on some work that we wanted done fairly quickly in a second home. We gave him access instructions and he said he would stop by and give us a quote. 3 days later John contacted me with some follow up questions and then provided me with a very detailed quote. We decided to move forward and asked him to put us on his schedule and let us know when he would be able to get to it. Although we were in a rush, we also understood that spring time is busy season so we just crossed our fingers and hoped he would get to it soon. In a matter of days, John called to say he would be able to get to us that week. He laid out exactly the times in which he would be in our cottage, and how long he planned to be there. Each day he called us to give us a status. On the final day that John was working I stopped by to check in on the place. He was just finishing up. The work looked great and he put everything back (shelves, hardware, curtains) where it was when he began. It was nice being able to meet John, he was very friendly and took the time to stop and chat with me. He helped me take some measurements for a separate project, and even gave us some advice on how to do the rest of the interior painting ourselves. I would highly recommend working with John, and we will certainly use him for any future projects we have.

Overall John was very good. He visited my house and went through each room asking me what I was looking for. He gave me a good detailed quote which was reasonable and worked within my timeframe. He and his helper worked very quietly and he finished when he said he would. The only issue I had with him is that he advertised a 10% price discount by using Angie's list and then I never saw it applied to the quote. After I paid him I remembered and asked for the discount and he said he provided it in the quote. But yet it was never broken out. He should have quoted his normal price and then applied the 10% off at the bottom so I could see it. I still feel that I should have paid less but it was hard after the fact. If any of you read this review, make sure to get him to discount after he quotes but before you agree to the price. The other thing was I originally wanted him to paint my exterior but then was going to have my friend paint instead. When my friend couldn't finish the job, I asked John to do the job after all as he quoted. He said he was booked up for 3 months I was disappointed. I'm not sure if he was really booked or just didn't want to do it now that the project was smaller than he wanted.

The total job started as just power washing. The work was so good we asked for a quote to paint the house and trim. The quote was very reasonable so we contracted for the house to be painted. The paint job was so beautiful, we we contracted to have the barn/shed power washed and painted. That job was just completed today. The total work was excellent.
