About us

For thirty years A/C Lightning Protection has been designing and installing lightning protection systems for industrial, commercial and residential sites. We are a UL and LPI listed company that has recently joined the LSA. Our Staff includes Master Installer/ Designers and certified technicians to insure that quality and customer service come first. A/C Lightning is a family business that was founded by Dave Baumert in1978; he has done an excellent job of building our company and maintaining relationships. A/C continues to grow and raise the industries standards through hard work and continuing education. Although our home office is in West Point, Nebraska; we install lightning protection across the United States. A/C Lightning Protection is a full service company that provides detailed shop drawings, cut sheets, and professional Installations using only UL approved material. We have a Project Manager assigned to each job; his role is to insure that the electrical contractor and the owner, if necessary, understand the scope of our work. We have four crews made up of a Project Manager and three technicians. When our job is complete we will apply for the LPI Certificate if called for in the scope.
