We needed our fencing done by a certain date and left it late before calling around and getting offers. Outback was about 30% more expensive than other quotes we received, but they said they could meet our deadline, so we decided to accept the higher bid and use Outback. Communication was almost non-existent unless I called for information. The posts were installed on a Tuesday and they said they would be back on Thursday to span the fence. They weren't there and did not call to say they wouldn't be or when they would come out. On Saturday I called and was told they would be out the following Tuesday or Wednesday. Well, our deadline was actually that Monday, so right then it was obvious it would not be timely. The following Tues/Wed came and went with no fence. I called on Thursday morning and was told it would be completed that day - and it was. However, there was no apology for the lateness or the lack of communication regarding the status of the project. Another item that bothered me, was that I accepted their offer on a Thursday evening. We didn't hear back from them until the Tuesday when they came out to install the posts. Then I did get a phone call from Outback stating they needed a 50% down payment that very day. They didn't accept credit cards, so I couldn't make a payment over the phone. Luckily, Brandon offered to stop by the house and pick up the check, otherwise I would have had to drive it out as both my husband and I were at work when the posts were installed. Nonetheless, I found it irritating that we didn't hear from them at all and then rush, rush, we need a check. The work was finished on a Thursday and they stopped by that evening to pick up the balance, again with no notice they would be coming by. Very irritating. To be fair, as I wrote above, we were looking for someone to put up a fence in a short period of time. We naively waited to start on the project and most other firms were booked 4-6 weeks out. We appreciated Outback squeezing us in, recognize this is an extremely busy time for fencing companies, and were willing to pay a higher price to get the fence done. Nevertheless, I believe if you accept a job and squeeze it in, then it should be carried out with the same professionalism as scheduled projects. Don't commit to it otherwise. I would hope this is not the way they would treat customers on regular basis, but I would not give them a second chance in order to find out. Looking back, I wish we would have gone with another company, even it meant our project wasn't completed on time (which it wasn't anyway).

Description of Work: I contacted them by phone about performing a very small fencing job--they told me they were about 9 weeks out for performing the work, but to email them the schematics for the project we wanted, in case they were able to give us a bid by email. I sent the schematics by email, sent them a second email, then called and left a message asking them if they'd received my email, and to please let me know by phone if they had. I still haven't heard back from them, and it's been about 4 weeks.

He does great work. We are a charity and he gave us a great discount. He did a wonderful job, and he was here on time and he’s just really good. He put up a 6 feet high fence, gave us the best price, and did it on time when he said he would do it. The quality in their work really stood out and the fact that the fence was perfect that I asked for. We have rescue dogs nailed to the fence and it was imperative that this fence is escape proof. He nailed it to the ground and because of this the dogs are not getting out of here. I highly recommend Outback fencing and I would use them in the future.
Description of Work: I used outback fencing when we had a snow storm and it ruined our fence. They fixed a new fence.
