If we could do it all over again, we would either build with a skilled contractor or never, ever build a house again. This was the most incompetent contractor I have ever worked with. During the construction my wife wanted to stop all work and sell the half built house. We finally had to get the inexperienced crew off the site and hire another skilled contractor to finish. I have pictures and emails to support all of this. The crew could not cut straight, nail straight, read a drawing or use a level. They had to re-frame the doors and windows twice as they built them wrong by not looking at the prints. It took me 3 inspections to pass as they missed so many items that any good contractor would not do. My other contractors had never seen such poor workmanship. If you need some one to build a dog house, iIwould be careful. If you need some one who can build a house to a set of prints and know they know what they are doing, look some where else.
