Elderly people pay into this plan and it doesn't cover anything - It is a scam and I would cancel and go to a more reputable company for a whole house warranty.

Initial visit okay. Unable to repair dryer due to circuit board was wet and cheaper to buy new dryer. Oven door needed repaired but, didn't have part in-stock. Needed new springs. Only one came. Documented that we called advising part damaged --not damaged just not enough parts. Had to reschedule for following week. They (Service Guard) "assumed" they should contact our main number on the account for when they were on their way which, happens to be our home phone. First repair appointment they had my husband's cell number to call which, they did. For some reason for second appointment instead of asking what number to call for 2nd appointment they "assumed" they should call our main number. WRONG!!! If anything should have either called the same number for the first appointment or ASKED! Needless to say we are now having to wait yet another week as they called our house number, we weren't home and therefore "WE" missed the appointment ALL BECAUSE OF SERVICE GUARDS assumption to call our house number!!! B.S.!!!

Not good, pay for warranty or service work and pay all year, monthly and for years ave. of 600 dollars per year and when the easy repair was to be done, he ordered wrong part, said would reschedule and never heard back. 2 months now. Then they play the game parts aren't available, they ARE but they can get them because not being a authorized dealer so parts are available but not to them. This is with alot of the parts they can't get, and say it can't be fixed !!!! But I could call a authorized dealer and get it fixed !!! But yet I'm paying 600 dollars per year and NO service a authorized dealer could fix for about 200 dollars, Bottom line I'm paying for service I can't get and yet paid for

Dishwasher not covered under my agreement. However, on Service Guard website is a coupon for $50 off service on appliance not covered under agreement. When I called to set up appointment the rep said the coupon was not valid in Iowa. Why didn’t they indicate that on the coupon!

Still not resolved. 11 days just to get repair service, and then ordered the part, and another 2 weeks before they will finish up. Have already spent over double my monthly bill at the laundry mat.

I paid for the silver plan. I just called at 3am when my AC was no longer keeping up/blowing warm. I was told it will be 6 days before a tech can be scheduled. I know it is a busy time, but that is ridiculous. I will call my local company with whom I have an annual maintenance plan tomorrow. I am very disappointed in this so called service, not being there when actually needed.

I waited 10 days for an appointment to fix my air conditioner. I had an 8-noon appointment and they never showed although I kept getting told they were coming. My house is 80+ degrees with pets in it

they came and checked it out; ordered the part and when i received the part i called march 2 to make appt. Appointment was made for my day off March 7 in the morning. when i called at noon they stated they saw i called in on march 2 but the appt was moved to april 4. just know; i was unable to use my machine due to leaking water. no one notified me of the change and i told them i could not wait that long. i wasted my entire morning off waiting. after talking to 2 representatives who did not know what happended they had a repair man call me. he said he was confused because there are several openings prior to april 4 and to call back in and make an appt. the reps were supposed to call me back but did not; he did. i called back in and told my story again and the gentleman was able to schedule me for the next day. i feel the call center dropped the ball and failed to communicate making for a crazy day for me. i have had great services over the past several years or would be cancelling this service immediately. i feel i should give them another chance but if scheduling does this again i will consider dropping the plan. this is in additional to my previous review which i thought was scheduled. I had a relative come to the home to wait for my repair that was rescheduled for today. i received a call at 3pm asking to reschedule again for 2 days from now on friday. i expressed concerned that i have been out of commission over 10 days and have had my part one week. i told her i cannot wait any longer and was disappointed waiting yet another day with no show and she stated they have had sick employees. I would think they would of know this before 3pm. The other day i was told they were just too busy. She went ahead and scheduled another date for tomorrow which i will hold my breath. very disappointed and not sure what happened here as have always been prompt in the past.

Horrible. Every time they came out they had to order another part. 3 weeks in they actually BROKE my dryer which was working when they started. I have now been WITHOUT a dryer for 6 days and they came yesterday and told me IT WOULD be finished. COME to find out when I got home it was in the same broken condition it has been for a week! I've called and complained and still nothing has been done. In still out a dryer and their customer services is the worst ive ever seen!!! I would not waste my money again for this plan ever!!

Called into Service Guard a week ago and got a repair date of 11/18/16. Tech was suppose to be here between 8-12. Tech did not show up so called SG to find out what happened. Tech called back to say they hadn't ordered the part. So now have to wait another (who knows how long) to get the part in and schedule the Tech again. Gave SG the dishwasher model number on initial call but apparently the Tech doesn't get the information until the day of the service??? What kind of inefficient system is this? Tech never even came by the house. Not happy!!!!!!

I have a service agreement with them. They came shortly after I called within that day. They were clean and didn't cause any problems. For a household where someone isn't handy around the house an agreement with someone like Service Guard is handy to have.
Description of Work: We used Service Gaurd through Black Hills Energy and they were last out to determine why my AC wasn't cooling as much as it should be and fixed it. It needed to be charged up, they cleaned it and put freon in it.
