Two bathroom fans, two guys, $1800 later. Beware of their shopping trips and supply bill. Probably cost me $500 for their time on 3 trips. One before and two during job. Several requests but never received a detailed list of supplies or time.

You contacted us to take care of several issues for you. One being, installing new exhaust fans for you, in which you supplied the exhaust fans w/ heaters. Upon arrival to your home we realized that your existing exhaust fans were not installed correctly and needed to be vented out. We also made you aware that these fans take a dedicated circuit. We explained that we would need to get a new dedicated circuit ran back to your panel and that we had two options to get get this completed. 1st option would be faster, but we in turn would have to cut more drywall, the 2nd option would take longer for us to complete, but would be less drywall removal . We made you aware of this and said you would like less drywall. So that'[Member Information Removed] how we proceeded. We did have to make a trip to get additional parts as supplies we needed non standard truck stock items. When we finished you were completely happy we gave you a written invoice with the job description and break down, which you signed and paid for on the spot. Later you reached out to me saying there was a outlet not working since we had been there. Not sure if that was from us as it was in a room we did not work on but we still agreed to come and take a look and get it repaired at no cost to you. You also mentioned on that phone call you wanted to talk about the invoice. I told you we can go over the invoice when we come to take a look at the outlet not working and you said that would be fine. You said you would be home all week and we stopped by three times to which you did not answer the door. We had to return on a forth trip to fix your outlet. Once we got inside we got your outlet working again and went over your invoice. You said you disagreed with one hour of charge so I agreed to credit you that hour back. Now after more than a month, I get a bad review on multiple platforms. I would be interested in talking and see if we can make this right as we love happy customers! Once we found a time that worked for both of us, I asked how much it would be. Was told $85. They walk in my house without putting on shoe coverings (we have new carpet) and shoe coverings should just be a given for any service coming into a customer house. The one he sent couldn't figure it out. He was here for MAYBE 10 minutes; he called someone to try and figure it out, ended up going to Menards to purchase a different switch, (that's ok), was gone MAYBE 45 minutes, installe switch and charged $200. Upon my arrival home in the evening, switch did not work. Had to keep another switch on to make the one they installed work. He sent another young man the next day after and he was here MAYBE 10 minutes (and the owner implied he should charge more since they had to come back- REALLY???) I asked if we could some money refunded and was told I could stop by the shop and get 1/2 hour refunded. He can keep is $42.50 to send his employees to school. My opinion total cost should not have been more than $100.

I'm sorry that you feel that way! You were told $85 per hour not a flat $85. We were told that a switch was removed and just needed to be reinstalled but I have no idea what we are getting into over the phone. A switch had tried to be installed in a location that would not work. This is a older home with obviously older wiring that takes a little longer to identify what's was going on. You threw your four way switch away which could have been reused. So we did have to go get one as we didn't have your color on the truck so that added additional time. We sent a truck out the next day and fixed the problem in a matter of minutes as it was a honest mistake of a flipped wire. You called asking for money back and I disagreed. We had two appointments times set that you said would work and cancelled on. So we lost out on time there and we had intentions on charging for the return trip as that would fall under warranty. You still said you thought you deserved something back so I offered a half hour back which I thought was reasonable and you want to scoff at that. I guess bending over backwards gets you no where now a days!

Job was scheduled and performed like we discussed the worker's were punctual and very polite. They made sure I new what was happening and how long my power would be expected to be off. The workers labeled the panel and cleaned up as if they were never there. Was very impressed with there workmanship and there respect for my home.

The workers were friendly and professional. I appreciated their positive attitudes on the job and how helpful they were. My only issue was the billing. When I booked the appointment, the boss told me on the phone that they bill at $75.00 an hour + parts. He did not inform me that two employees would come to my home. Two employees showed up which was $150.00 an hour + parts. It was the lead employee that informed me that the billing would be $150.00 an hour. In addition, I was charged for an additional 1/2 hour. I called the boss to ask why but he was not certain and "assumed" it was drive time. I like to have concrete facts as opposed to assumptions.

On the extra half hour the service tech calculates job so I would have to contact him to see what the charges are. I don't even get the paperwork until the next morning. It all went well. The kitchen lighting looks great. Jesse and Chris did a fine job.

Had them come out to fix a fuse blowing in house and lights were off. Once electrician showed and looked totally stumped continuously checking and testing wires. He applied some fixes but just threw pieces of wire, tape and other waste materials on my floor and did not bother to clean it up. He took apart light fixtures, switches and receptacles and did not put them back together when he left. He replaced the 20 amp fuse that was blowing with a 30 amp fuse which is dangerous and can cause other problems. When he was leaving I asked what the charges were and he refused to tell me and just said the owner would be in touch about the bill. (First red flag). About a week later the same fuse blew again along with an additional fuse which may have resulted from using the 30 amp fuse instead of a 20 amp. Called them, back and then they sent two electricians with one I believe was an apprentice who stood around and did nothing. Examined the very same wires again and popped all my 20 amp fuses THAT I PURCHASED AND PROVIDED TO THEM, during their trial and error to find the problem. Claimed it was a new additional issue not caused by the first guy who was there. Again would not tell me the charges when they left. Not more than two minutes after they left the fuse popped again and again lights out. Called them back and talked to the owner who seemed very irritated and insisted it was a new problem and not due to anything they did. Another electrician came out along with the owner himself this time who was rude and irritated and again examined the very same wires. Made a fix, refused to tell me the charges and then left. After they left, I realized that the 3 way switch that did control my kitchen light was now wired to control my refrigerator and I have no way or turning on the kitchen light. I informed them of this issue thinking they would be honorable and admit this was their doing. I did not have a problem with any of this until I received the bill. They charged me for all three visits and charged me for each guy that was there at $85.00 an hour each. There was absolutely no justification to have more than one guy there. All they had was an itemized list of each guys time (Hours) he was there (Which was heavily over estimated (as I did keep track of what time each one arrived and left) and for materials actually had the nerve to list the 20 amp fuses as charge as these WERE PURCHASED AND PROVIDED BY ME. They listed these materials they used but did not have listed what they charged me for each one on the bill (second red flag). In all, they charged me for 5 different electricians with 8 hours of labor between them (Not accurate as this amount was padded) and even charged me for my own supplies. Total bill was $631.00 dollars. Tried to reach out to them with my displeasure but have not heard back. Obviously a company that in my opinion charges the customer for their own mistakes and seemed to have very shady business practices. Would never use them again and would never recommend them to anyone else.

The team arrived on time and went right to work. Universal told me that I would be without electricity for most of the day as they change out the electrical panel. I was expecting a day or even two without power. I was pleasantly surprised! The team started at 9am, had ALL of the items on the list tested and completed by 4pm!
Description of Work: We found out that our Federal Pacific Stab-Lok electrical panel circuit breakers were not safe! I believe Angie's list has an article: "Are Federal Pacific Circuit Breaker Panels Safe?". We spoke to a few of our neighbors and found that most had replaced their panels due to this concern. I received several estimates for this and several other things we wanted done like moving light fixtures, adding new electrical outlets and moving light switches. This was a big job!
