Description of Work: In Spring 2015 our furnace needed major repairs. We decided it was more cost-effective to replace it with a new energy-efficient furnace and A/C system. The new York system has worked very well except we initially had problems with the Ecobee "smart" thermostat which has wifi capability. Finally, the vendor uploaded a new version of the software and it has been working flawlessly since. We experienced reductions in our monthly electricity consumption last summer and in our gas consumption so far this winter.

Description of Work: Furnace went out on Thanksgiving. Outside temp. was falling and there was a natural gas smell in the air. Called SOS and they were out in a couple of hours. Just an ignitor, but they checked everything else out too. Holiday rates are high, theirs no higher (if not lower) than the big advertising outfits. Guy fixed it, was pleasant, no cross-sell, etc. Had SOS put replace our air conditioning system 3 years ago and they did a wonderful and reasonably-priced job. Highly recommend SOS.

Description of Work: My furnace fan failed during a cold spell in December 2014. I called SOS and they responded promptly and fixed the problem as quickly as they could. I signed up for the annual maintenance plan, something I have not had in the past though have considered. I have met four of their technicians and all have been prompt, friendly and efficient. | |Well worth the money and I highly recommend SOS.

Description of Work: Purchased new HVAC system, all new ductwork and then a service plan for 2 years of maintenance from SOS. Not sure the exact price on the service since I paid up front over 2 years ago. But price wasn't bad. I ended up purchasing a heat pump system due to recommendation from company but I am still struggling with high heating prices throughout the winter so I am going to try a different service company to help me figure out better system settings.

Description of Work: Installed new A/C unit outside and furnace inside. Removed all the old stuff. They did excellent work, because I watched them, just like I did 20 years ago when they installed my last heating and air units. I was a factory mechanic for 30 years and know a little bit about that kind of stuff. After installation, it needed to be certified by the local gas company, M.U.D. Government regulations. |The guy that looked it over said he doesn't worry about SOS installations, because they always do good work, unlike some other companies he wouldn't mention. |That made me feel good, because I've used SOS Heating and Air for 40 years and never had a problem with them.
