While Sanwick Remodeling excels at large scale additions and whole-house remodels, we also enjoy the small bathroom project or basement finish, and everything in between. Todd Sanwick has extensive education and certification in Universal Design for greater accessibility and Green Remodeling for higher efficiency and less impact on the environment, and is currently the only Omaha remodeler carrying both Certified Graduate Remodeler as well as Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist designations.
Firstly, I never had a sub contractor who demanded more money from me than was contracted for in the original contractor. This is what the sub contractor for flooring did. He was often ornery. as well. He threatened to walk off the job with the job half completed if I did not pay him more money. His crew was slow. The flooring crew did a good job with the flooring, but the crew damaged personal property of mine, and they also stole antiques from me. Sanwick did nothing about. Made some excuses and told him I never paid the full flooring price. I said I paid the contracted price, and Todd admitted that. Todd is a nice guy. However, like most contractors they do not want to run items through their insurance. My job was small, but they kept telling me it was a job and they would get to the rest of the job in 2 more weeks. After hearing this about three times I quit calling them, and they did not call me back. I think we both agreed to go our separate ways after this

Superb service. John, the supervisor, was on site at the end of every day to inspect work done. He maintained constant contact with us to let us know about any possible delays. A schedule was provided for each day that was followed. Never a mess at the end of the day. Change orders were easily accomplished without any problems. Great ideas and suggestions from Todd Sanwick, the owner, about our project. We now have a dream spa shower with towel warmer that is everything that we wanted. Because of their superior work, we went ahead and had them replace outside windows on our garage and dormer windows that several other contractors either didn't want to do or had extremely high quotes. Sanwick had the windows made at Omaha Door and Window at a very reasonable price. We then had Sanwick fix our block retaining wall that was starting to suffer upheavals. Very professionally done and looks great. We would trust these folks with anything!

We were very pleased with the work done by Sanwick! Our house is 90 years old and we had been slowly remodeling it over the last 10 years. The last two big things to do were the kitchen (a complete gut job) and adding a second bathroom. We also needed a few new windows, including one in a basement room where we wanted the window made larger. We originally got three estimates for the work we needed done; Sanwick's was in the middle (not the cheapest) but we chose them because Todd Sanwick spent the most time with us on the estimate, had the best suggestions and alternatives, and gave us the most complete write-up. Also, their reviews on Angie's List were very positive, and we had a friend that made a personal recommendation. They started work in early February, gutting the kitchen back to the studs and removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room. Also tearing into the concrete floor of the basement to lay the plumbing for the new bathroom. As with any project in a 90-year-old house, there were a few bumps along the way (some minor structural issues; problems with old electrical wiring, a couple of plumbing issues, etc.). The Sanwick folks were careful to explain everything when we ran into problems and to give us alternatives for addressing them. John, the superintendent for our work, was always available when we had questions and worked hard to be sure things were happening as quickly as possible. The original time estimates we were given were 8-12 weeks, and the job was finished in about 9 weeks. The budget did expand somewhat from the original estimate; but it was due entirely to unexpected issues that popped up or to additional items that we requested. The original estimate was about $62,000, the final total was about $70,000 (the windows were not a part of the original estimate; they were a big chunk of the additional cost and were something we requested after the start of the project). As for the quality of the work - we couldn't be more pleased! The new kitchen is beautiful and considerably more functional than the old one. The new bathroom in the basement is actually nicer than the one on the main floor! Sanwick has a great set of subcontractors they work with - we especially love the beautiful custom cabinets for the kitchen (done by T & T Custom Cabinets), and the really nice tile work in the new bathroom. We are extremely happy with the results, and would not hesitate to use Sanwick again. We highly recommend them!

Compliments and 3 Hip Hip Horrays to Sanwick Remodeling Contractors. They remodeled a bathroom and did a great job. They came to work on time, they completed as much as they could each day (some procedures had to dry) and when they left my home was very clean and all debris removed. The end result was better than I imagined. The final price was the same as the estimate even though they ran into some snags. A great experience and end result. Am extremely pleased and would highly recommend them. Very professional.

Description of Work: Purchased a home and had issues with a previous contractor. I received this contractor as a referral from a business associate. I contacted this company on Tuesday,8-07-12 and scheduled an appt on Wed, 8-08-12. Todd Sanwick came and spent 1 1/2 hours gathering information for an estimate. We told him we were interested in getting the process moving soon and he stated he understood and would have potential time to do the job in the next couple of weeks. At that time he said he would schedule an appt with his business associates in the next few days to come back and review his concerns. On Monday, 8-13-12 we were told that he would have an estimate to us within a couple days. On Monday, 8-20-12, We contacted the contracting office and talked to Sherry and mentioned that Todd had told us last week that he would be providing the estimate- next thing i knew i was being transferred to Todd... Todd got on the phone and said the estimate was almost complete. I asked when I would be receiving his estimate and he stated we would have it on Tuesday, 8-21-12 and that he would be willing to email it, mail it etc. I stated i will have it emailed. On Tuesday morning, I had contacted the office and again spoke to Sherry. I provided another email address to have the estimate sent to. She stated that Todd has been so busy providing an estimate for a church renovation but she would give him the message. I stated we are waiting for his bid to make some decisions of how to move forward. On Wednesday, August 22, I received a call from Todd Sanwick, he appologized for not getting the estimate out sooner, he stated he would try to email it to me yet this afternoon but NO LATER than Thursday, August 23rd at NOON. Well guess what...I never received my "promised" estimate, I never received a call.... NOTHING. SO based on his Lack of Response,- we selected a different contractor. Anyone reading this review, please do not waste two weeks of your time!!!!! Since I did not receive my initial estimate, I have no idea of his pricing however i do know... he doesnt deliver even at this level!!! Stay Away!
