gas leak repair
+ -1 morePrior to calling Paul we had two plumbers attempt to fix it. They did not fix leak. Paul completed task first time. I have used Paul many times since. I have always been satisfied.

Description of Work: Paul Campbell is a master plumber who we have hired on three occasions. Each time we made an appointment with him to do work he was right on time and did excellent work each time. Paul is so good and his work such high quality that we wouldn't ever even think about having anyone else. We highly recommend him.

+ -1 moreHe quote one price then charge a lot more money when the job was done. He was replacing a three valve shower/tub and put yo one wall surround piece. He was working good at first the slowed his speed way down. Kept going to truck and killing time. His work was ok he quoted the job at $145 around. We told him everything we wanted done before hand. Then at the end he charge us $392. It was a big shock for us because our income so limited right now. I will not use or recommend him again

Description of Work: COULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM MORE HIGHLY. Called him for 2nd opinion after being given an estimate for over $600 and told that I needed a new water valve and my front lawn would probably need to be dug up to find this "stuck valve." This was allegedly required, according to this dishonest person, so my new water meter could be installed by MUD, or they would shut off my water. Paul came and turned the handle on the shutoff valve and everything was FINE. No work was actually needed. He did not charge us for turning the handle, which was ALL that was actually required. We will never do business with the prior company again, obviously. I could not recommend Paul more highly.

Description of Work: We called Paul for an estimate for a back flow preventer for our pool which MUD is now requiring. He was very nice and professional, but we did not end up using him because we contracted another plumber before we got his estimate back and the other plumber was less expensive.

+ 0 morePaul Did great job when we had him out to help with some plumbing issues on one of our bathrooms. We were very pleased with his work and price so we asked him to give us a bid on some other plumbing things we were needing as we remodel our house. He came out and said he would give us a call the next day with a bid but never called us back. If the job was too biig or he just didnt want the job the professional thing to do would to be upfront and just tell us. We were very disappointed!
Description of Work: General plumbing- cleaned a couple of drains in a bathroom and changed out some fixtures.

Description of Work: My wife and I have a vacation property that we renovated; its 110 years old. He did the majority of our plumbing. He re-did a lot of the piping. We remodeled 2 ½ baths that he did the plumbing in and he also did the plumbing in the kitchen.

He would never stop working at my house, he would just have to delay when he would arrive whatever morning and sometimes be delayed in showing up. However, he has been really good. His punctuality, accuracy on his estimate and professionalism are very good.

+ -1 moreInitially, it was leaking where the handle goes into the hose bib, but it started leaking somewhere else after he was done. He told me it needed a part that screws into there and it just needed a washer. I moved and left the day after that so I am not sure if it's still dripping.
Description of Work: When I was moving, I turned off my washing machine and it started leaking; he fixed that. He also replaced the washer outside hose bib. With the hose, it wasn't leaking or dripping before he fixed it. However, it was dripping after he fixed it. He said it was normal that it dripped but it never did before because I lived there for 30 years.

+ -1 moreHe was very nice. He is a guy by himself. He presents himself in a very articulate way. He speaks well and he was very professional. He didn't use swear words, even when it was just us guys looking at what he was working on. He was very honest about what should and should not be done. He essentially didn't charge for the repairs. He said that he knew we had a couple of toilets that needed to be installed and he asked that we call and give him that business. He said that he would count that as payment for this work. His work was very good, which is important. We will absolutely use him again.
Description of Work: We used Paul the Plumber at my parent's house. He fixed up a couple of things that were leaking at their old house because they are getting ready to sell it.

+ -1 morePaul arrived on time, completed the work and charged a reasonable price. So why the bad rating?... Well, when he was at my house to clean the drain I spoke to him about providing an estimate for some additional work I wanted to get done. I explained the work and he said he would write up an estimate and get back to me which he never did. I called, left messages on his answering service and emailed him on at least separate 5 occasions before I figured out I was wasting my time. I would understand if he had declined the work because he was too busy, but to completely ignore my attempts at contact is completely unprofessional and rude at best.
