Omaha Door & Window

ODW promised me the shortest time frame for install (3-12 weeks) so I went with them over other companies. They took 7 entire months to finish installing the windows, more than twice what they promised. When I asked for a discount because of them not keeping their promise they told me it was because their factory took awhile on making a single window so its not their responsibility and dont feel they need to reimburse anything for taking over half a year for an install. Also during install I had to pay extra for "lead containment" due to my older windows but when they removed them they just left the old lead laying on the floor and left shattered glass all over the attic flooring (some shards as long as 3") and covering a large area all over my back patio. The manager did not feel concerned about the dangerous mess they left nor that they broke their promise on their time frame and held up the rest of the renovation and contractors from finishing my addition for months. Completely untrustworthy business and unprofessional.

Thought spring had broken but technician found it was the cable that was broken so spring had come off. Replaced both cables as other one was very old, and also put on new bottom fixtures/rollers. Very prompt (was actually able to come earlier than scheduled as another job didn't take as long as expected). Called to check before coming to the house.

Arrived the day scheduled- diagnosed problem and fixed quickly / pleasant and professional contractor.

It was a very big job. This is a double car garage and just getting the old doors out (they weighed a ton!) was quite an undertaking. The installation took approximately 10 hours and the installer, Jerry, was terrific. The doors work great and definitely have the look I want. Carl, the salesman, listened to what I wanted and then helped me find it.

Everything went great and the windows are awesome! We looked at a lot of different windows and providers and have to say nothing compared to the Soft-Lite windows and patio door for quality and price. We looked at Pella which is a good product but in no way were any better with quality just a lot more expensive! Omaha Door and Windows did a great job making sure we were happy and got what we wanted and did a wonderful job with the install. I would recommend Omaha Door and Window and Soft-Lite windows anytime! :)

I called and they were able to set up an appointment in a very timely fashion. Service man who arrived was punctual, knowledgeable and did a great job. This was not my first time using this company. I feel confident that they do the job right and at a reasonable price. I will definitely call them again when the occasion comes along.

They were quick, they kept their appointments, and the cost. I had other people come in to give me an estimate, and they more in the $600 to $700 ranges. They were very polite. The garage door is working out awesome now that I figured out. When they were done, I wasn't home, so I took a trip back to the office and they explained it to me, and I haven't had a problem since.

We worked with Chris Myrhre to select the best door to suit our needs and budget. He is easy to get a hold of and came out just a few days after my initial call. We ordered the door with a down payment of about 30%. He promised it would be ready in about 8 weeks. I received a call when the door was in to set up installation. The timeline was exactly as promised. NIck and Joe arrived right on time on installation day and were very knowledgeable and professional. The door was a little tight because of very close measurements and the guys made the necessary adjustments with ease. They worked very hard and were extremely careful not to damage my wallpaper and painted trim. They completed the install in a little over 4 hours. They cleaned up all the mess and hauled the old door away. Before they left, Nick took time to explain all the special features on my door and how they worked. We had Omaha Door and Window install a new patio door last year and they followed up with a call to offer a special discount so I did not even call any other companies this time around. We will do business with them every time because of the quality, workmanship and all around great customer service.

Called a little after 8:00 am and the guy was here within 2 hrs. Great service and got it fixed quick. Will definitely use again.

This is the second time I've used Omaha Door and Window to fix my garage door. First time it was a cable. This time it was a spring. They were very responsive and professional each time.

It went well. They did a very fine job. Everything that they did was done professionally. They took care of everything as far as cleaning up any mess they left behind, they took care of themselves when they came in the house, and they didn't make a mess in the house.

A good experience - called on a Tuesday afternoon and they arrived on Wednesday morning. We had a broken spring on the garage door but asked that they replace both springs. Saved $20 with the Angie's List coupon but make sure they do take it off - it was noted on the invoice but not subtracted. ($227 w/coupon)

Second time we have bought windows from Omaha D & W. First time it went well, not so much this time. Two of the five windows could not be removed as advertised once installed. The initial install started late October/early November and finished March 2014. Several members of the company tried to talks us into just taking the windows as they were. They did order two new windows, one worked and one had the lock on the wrong side so another window was ordered. We told the company the final payment would be withheld until the work was accomplished and were told they agreed. We received several bills in the mail with overdue notices even though we were told on the telephone everything was fine with the bill. Apparently internal communication is a problem for Omaha D & W. I might consider buying from them again because we like the windows, otherwise? We did get a $100 restaurant gift card for the window lock problem, but that came from the window company not Omaha D & W.

Although ODW was backlogged with many gutter replacements due to storms in late 2013, it was worth the wait. ODW representatives worked carefully and neatly despite the bone-chilling cold of January, 2014. The men who replaced our gutters called us several times to keep us informed of their status for being on-the-job. They did an excellent job replacing our 60 year old gutters. The house looks wonderful. Should have done this a long time ago. Our stay-at-home neighbor commented on how carefully the men worked to make sure everything was precise. He was impressed with their workmanship. We are too. We would definitely recommend Omaha Door and Window.

The serviceman fixed the problem and replaced the sensors which would not get a good signal causing the garage door to not go down. This is why I called them, but the serviceman noticed I had to push the garage door button several times before it would close and so he fixed the button. Turns out the button was put upside down by the original installer and so it did not have a good connection. I was excited to get the button fixed, which I wasn't expecting. I like the fact that someone actually noticed the problem and fixed it while not charging me an additional fee or being asked to. I will use Omaha Door and Window if I ever have any other issues or need a replacement. The price for the service call was what they quoted me over the phone and the garage door is working great.

The installer was very good, provided excellent ideas for placement and suggested things that made the use of the openers for easier use. He was very good at his job and was done in a timely manner.

Our experience with Omaha Door and Window was excellent. We had gotten several previous estimates for a Sun Room from other companies in Omaha and they all were over our budget. This was due to how the room needed to be connected to our existing roof. The folks from Omaha Door and Window came out and we discussed with them what were were looking for and they put together a plan that met both our needs and our budget. The room was ordered from a company in Iowa and when it arrived Omaha Door came out to install it. They used a two person team who did an outstanding job. The Omaha Door Manager came out a couple of times to check with us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We have had the room for over a year and are extremely satisfied with it. I would definitely use the folks again for other products.

Tech showed up on time and work completed in less than 1/2 hour.

It started in December where our garage door remote and the wall button would start to open or close our door really slow, usually leaving it opened part way. We would have to unplug opener to reset it or close it by hand. It would work for a month or so and then it would do the same thing again! After 3-4 trips he finally replaced the logic board, and reprogram the remote that ended up having to be replaced a couple months later.

The door is still working fine today, and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again!49 Ave

Our garage door wouldn't work because one of the springs broke. I contacted Omaha Door based on the reviews on Angie's list. Called on Friday morning and repair man came out Saturday afternoon. The work took about an hour. The worker was very respectful and polite. He repaired the spring and fixed the garage door. He honored the $25 coupon. The cost was $151.00. I have no complaints.

Prompt and polite service. Very professional and happy to use the Angie's list coupon. I received a follow-up call to make sure I was happy with the service ... which is something that doesn't happen with many vendors. Overall a good experience and I would use them again.

It went well. The installer was supposed to have another installer to work with him. However, he had to do the work himself. He did a great job, no problem with anything.

Responsive, knowledgable and efficient. I appreciate the expertise and quality of work done when I needed to get a new garage door opener.
