I would say that Jeremy was excellent when he did come. He was friendly and did a great job with installing my furnace electrical and ceiling fans. Wish I would have gottten his number to deal with him directly and not have used the receptionists!
Description of Work: I tried to have these electricians move a light switch for me. The first time he came he could not complete the work because he said he needed 2 people. I had to reschedule two weeks later due to my work schedule and them not being available. The second time they were supposed to come out it was at the end of my 3 hour window and no one had called or shown up. I was told that he was at a job and would not be able to make it. I had to reschedule for a week later. I received a call asking if I could move my time back 2 hours I said yes but I want to be first in line. Again it was 2 hours after I was supposed to be scheduled I had to call them I was told that they were on an emergency call and could not make it. I was given another appt a week later at 0800 and was told he would be there right at 0800. I waited until 0845 and called asking where the electrician was I was told they had an emergency meeting. I finally said forget it. I would sugggest to this company to allow the electricians to call customer directly going thru receptionist was extremely frustrating. They aren't able to tell the electrician's the right information and that is why my job could not be completed the first time I was scheduled. They were rude and I was never called and kept updated on when electrician would arrive. I was more frustrated especially because they talked me into joining their membership discount program. which doesnt save you any money. I expected because I had to be rescheduled 3 times I would have been treated better. They were supposed to send me a $50 gift certificate which I have never seen and I wanted my membership fee refunded. Still waiting.....

It was kind of difficult with them because they came out and they were supposed to do some research of some lights that we needed in our kitchen and they didn't get back to us. So I called, they came out again, still hadn't worked on what we originally wanted them to do so we had them do a couple of other things and then they sent us a bill saying we owed more because it was past the date that we had to do it. It was their fault not our fault. It was almost 9 months later, then they send us another bill saying, 'You still haven't paid this and you owe because you didn't do the job during the timeline' which I just ignored after that and we haven't heard from them again. The work that they did, they did well but they didn't seem to follow up in a timely manner. There were no additional costs. They did come out during that time frame right away but at that time we were wanting them to put some new lights above my cabinets and he was going to investigate that and he never called us back. They did do a good job of the things we finally had them do but that wasn't what we initially asked for or wanted. They did comeout when they said they would come out, finally.
Description of Work: It was a Big Deal.

The customer is a Power Club member and was given an inspection as part of the benefits. The customer was not charged for anything other than the $99 membership fee that was paid for months in advanced. No quote to fix the issue was given, because the customer was referred to a 3rd party website for further research. We did not hear from the customer again.

It went well, the customer service we received over the phone ahead of time was top notch! Explained how their service calls went, called back quickly when we had additional concerns. They were prompt and courteous. Price was a bit higher than we planned on spending, so unfortunately, we went with someone else.
Description of Work: Came out and gave an estimate to wire our house for a hot tub.

My outlet on the left side of kitchen sink were out during the new siding installation. I have the guy from Mister sparky come to check and he is very professional and pin down the problem quickly. He has a price charts which show how much should be charged and he allowed me to take $25 coupon as angies list member. He is very sincere and I appreciate the service.

The guy came out for the estimate well before the time that was stated. The job needed a box installed on a interior wall which was around 15 feet from the fuse panel which was down stairs with a suspended ceiling. so not cutting into a ceiling was needed. The guy wasn't sure he could find the bottom of the wall downstairs and said that he would need to cut a hole in the wall by the floor so he could drill a hole to get to the basement. I asked why he can't measure from the exterior wall to the interior wall upstairs and do the same downstairs, but he insisted that he would have a hard time finding the wall. To give me a price he looks on some sheet that has about 10 different prices depending on what needs to be done. He put the job at a level 7 out of 10 so the cost would be $537.00. the next day I called and tried to talk to a manager but I get some operator who wanted me to talk to the electrical that came out for the estimate, I told her that I didn't trust him and wanted to talk to a supervisor. She said that they were all on the line and if I could give her my number they would call me. Haven't heard from them yet. went with another service due to no response, but still out the $99.00, I guess that's how they make money. The service that did the work didn't charge for the estimate and were almost $200.00 cheaper.

I had an appointment for between 8 - 11 a.m. on 1/31/2114. No one ever called - I made repeated calls and only got customer service agents who said they would contact the electrician. Finally on my 6th call to them at 5:30 p.m. the customer service agent said they had just been told everyone was sick in the Omaha office on 1/31/2014. I took a day off work for this appointment - and I get no service - I will never use these people again.

I am extremely sorry about the inconvenience our company has caused you. On 1/31/14 everyone in the office along with the technicians were sent home sick because of an outbreak. We had to shut down. The management team tried calling everyone to let them know we would not be able to get to their homes but must have missed your appointment. I see that we did make it out there to finishe up the job and we are again extremely sorry.

Electrician was at home within an hour of call. Quickly was able to make all repairs and was very professional.
Description of Work: Restored power to house and fixed problem outlet that had contained an old, 4-prong outlet I had removed from wall. Installed modern outlet after fixing wiring in the outlet.

I had to move switches. There were so many problems. Outlets that did not work, I had to contact the manager. It took them a week to call back. Ben attempted to redo a placement of a switch and now I'm not able to turn a light on that is on the other side of the room. The manager was going to have someone come and fix all the holes that I have in my ceiling and walls that were created from trying to get the switches and outlets to work. He put in a type of cable that is not even used any more. When the satellite people came out to hook it up they had to replace it - another hole in my wall.. No one has contacted me to get the walls fixed. My family wants me to contact them to get things fixed... I won't let them near my house again. I will take care of it myself.
Description of Work: I had Mr Sparky work on my basement remodel.

The service was great. The electrician did a good job moving a switch that required some fishing of wires. He was punctual and professional. The reason I give them a B and not an A is that the business model of selling a membership seems a bit sketchy. With the Angie's list coupon a membership is still expensive . I prefer just to pay for the services rendered not become involved in inspections I don't need.

Ben did a fantastic job and is welcome back at my house any time. He was punctual, prompt, courteous, and knows his stuff! Ben cleaned up after himself and answered all my questions. I will definitely call these guys the next time I need electrical work done.

The outlet was a floor outlet and I was very impressed with the quality of the materials used and the way the outlet looks. When he got done installing the light switch, I almost couldn't have told he had been here. There was some drywall dust on the floor but the wall looked perfect and the switch matched others in my house very well. There was some drywall patching to be done in the basement after the repair and that was done well also. And, because they had a computer problem and didn't keep my first appointment, I got one of the services performed for free so that saved me a LOT of money. I highly recommend them!

Good. Very pleased with the work and the electrician's professionalism.
Description of Work: The electrician installed a ceiling light in our finished basement. He added the light fixture, wiring, plus the light switch. He was on time - that matters to me. He did a great job, very pleased with the service. The Groupon was for $99.00, the service cost us $300 plus the light fixture. The electrician gave us an estimate before doing the work. We needed the light badly in that basement area so we went ahead and had it installed. Very pleased with the outcome.

We purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it worked out very well. We were real happy. We remember he was prompt and very timely. He was very attentive to our needs and really a very nice gentleman. He took care of all of our problems. We thought he was very professional and just a sweet guy. We thought the price was very reasonable as well. He was on time and we will absolutely use him again in the future.
Description of Work: We used Mister Sparky for electrical services. We had a couple of lights that had gone out and we couldn't figure out why we weren't successful in getting them back on. He was able to identify the problem and fixed it. Then we had one light that had never worked from the time we moved into the house, and he identified the problem with that and fixed that as well for us.

Always showed up when they said they would and stayed until the work was done. Had to come over several days to do all the initial wiring and then the actual hook-ups once the other subcontractors were done. We were pleased with the knowledge and professionalism.
Description of Work: Remodel job that required rewiring of dwelling to meet new code as well as new addition. Had good ideas about how to implement our wants in the new addition and was very flexible with changes we made as the job progressed

We have been using their services for about 4 years. When you schedule an appointment, they give you a time frame. Then on the day of the appointment, they always call before they come. Everything has been working out very good with them.
Description of Work: They come out once a year and check the electric and fuse boxes to ensure it is just as it should be. We have an annual contract with them.

There were two snags to the deal which were not part of the deal's description: 1) The description indicated that one would get "$200 worth of electrical services for $99." Come to find out, I would be charged a diagnostic fee of $99 immediately, even though I didn't need any diagnosis done - I knew what I wanted done. That left me with $100 for actual "electrical services." 2) I was informed that Sparky didn't have an hourly rate, but charged "by the job." That left me with no firm basis for determining what I would really be getting for my remaining $100. At that point I decided that I really wasn't interested in buying a pig in a poke! End of story.

I'm sorry you had a bad first experience with us. I would like to explain a few things about the big deal. If you read the Big Deal, it states that you get $200 worth of labor for $99. You would get the full $200 worth of labor costs. We are not trying to bate and switch here. You can call almost all service companies and there is a diagnostic/service charge for a technician to come out to the home. This is the same with our company unless you are a club member. Your second complaint was that we do not charge by the hour. This is true, we do straight forward pricing to be more fair to our customers. Some jobs are more time consuming than others and some technicians are slower than others. We try to be fair to our customers and charge for the agerage time and for supplies. This helps the customer out if the technician runs into a delay of some sort. I assure you, we were not trying to bait and switch. If you would like to have us out there we can work with your on pricing and try to make you happy. Please feel free to give us a call 402-333-5000 and we can discuss this further. Thank you.

In the past they came up with a great solution to run wiring to our boat dock. They have also suggested in the past that we change to the proper adjustable speed switches for our ceiling fans. They are very courteous and knowledgeable and always take the time to explain the inspection results to me and answer any questions I have.
Description of Work: We have an annual service agreement with them. They performed an annual check on our electrical system, including circuit breakers, testing the outlets throughout the inside and outside of the home and checking the switches. They provided us with feedback via a checklist.

They're awesome and even my dog likes having them here. They really go above and beyond. They are just the nicest guys and have have great suggestions on how to keep things functioning well. I highly recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Ben checked every outlet inside and out especially the GFCI's and checked the breaker box. He noticed a sound coming from a ceiling fan and let me know the bearings were wearing out. He looked at every light fixture to make sure they were working properly and he also checked the smoke detectors that are hard wired into the house to make sure they were functioning well.

We love them! We have been with them for 4-5 years. Our house is about 20 years old so we feel that the maintenance plan is a good deal.
Description of Work: The last time they were out, we had shut off valves put in in our bathroom. That was around $250 and they came out on the weekend. We have a maintenance plan with them for heating/ac, electrical, and plumbing. They come out twice a year to check the furnace and air conditioning unit. They come out once a year for plumbing and electrical.
