Marie's Helping Hand

I purchased a Living Social Voucher for Marie's Helping Hands cleaning services last fall. When I called to set up an appointment, I was surprised to find her home. She said her car broke down and she hadn't been able to get to any of her cleaning jobs that week and her customers were upset. I thought that odd for someone who is self employed not to find a way to get to her appointments but I made an appointment for December 29, two days before my New Years Eve party. On Wednesday, December 28 at 8 p.m. in the evening, I received a call from her. She stated she was out of town and would be unable to come to clean my house tomorrow. No apology. She asked if I wanted to reschedule. I said yes, come on Friday. She said no she would be out of town. I said Saturday then. No, she was out of town. I explained again that when I scheduled last fall, if she remembered, I was planning to use her services to clean before my party. She said nothing, not even a I'm sorry. I was unable to find someone at such a late notice. I called Groupon who said they would reimburse my money because they had multiple complaints from customers about her company. I am not sure what her game is but am guessing that makes some money off people who do not call Living Social for a refund. I saw a few months back she had used Groupon. From the previous reviews, it sounds like she did the same thing.
