I felt the $100 was very reasonable to get a true assessment of the situation and a quick turnaround. I bought a new laptop in the meantime and now use the computer Ken fixed as an extra. I would recommend Ken for anyone looking for a good, reasonable priced and knowledgeable computer expert.
Description of Work: Tried to resurrect a failing hard drive in my laptop computer. When he determined it was not possible and the hard drive had truly gone bad, he retrieved as many personal files as possible and saved it on the new replacement hard drive that I purchased. He also re-installed Windows XP, since I didn't have a recovery disc for the computer.

+ -1 moreAs well as "cleaning" the entire computer he also made back-up disks for the computer in case anything, in the future, should arise. He was friendly, professional, and his price for doing this was almost half of what two other businesses said it would cost. I brought the computer (laptop) in on January 7, 2015 and it was finished the morning of January 8. The computer is now running faster than before and is virus free.
Description of Work: My wife's computer had become infested with malware and a couple of viruses. Ken cleaned it up, thoroughly and updated anything that needed to be updated.
