Description of Work: Major basement water damage repair, necessitating blocking four basement windows, jack hammering basement floor along three sides of the house, placing drainage tile, pea gravel, putting in a sump pump, and also a radon mitigation system at the same time, replacing basement concrete. Very professional, well-done work done in a timely manner. Cleaned up the mess every day after their work was done, trying to limit dust, dirt in the rest of the house.

Description of Work: Jim came to my home and after analyzing the situation told me my water issues could be solved by resetting my downspouts. We need to move them further from our house. This makes this company no money! They are honest! If I ever need any waterproofing I will call them!

+ -1 moreWhen the guys showed up at 8:00AM they started working right away. They installed the retrofitted drain tile system exactly as I'd expected and answered all the questions I had along the way. They were very personable and loved to talk, and didn't seem to stressed when I was around. I came back around 2:00 PM to see how things were going wrote out the check for them at that time. When they finished they locked up the house and cleaned and swept the basement. The only sign that they had been there was the completed work and some waste materials in the trash can. I was very impressed. The one negative I had was that it seemed like 4 guys on this one job might have been a bit overkill. I would have thought 2 would be enough. But, I've also worked in the service industry before -- sometimes you just don't have enough work for all your employees, so you send two teams to a job site that only needs one.
Description of Work: One of the estimators came and consulted with me on the best solution to prevent the basement flooding I had experienced. He found that the company had installed a retrofit sump system along part of the basement perimeter in 2001 and recommended an extension of that system. We also discussed regrading around the house and solutions for proper gutters and drainage around the house. He even answered some questions as to how I should finish the basement after the work was completed. He was very helpful. After my experience with the estimator and my decision to refinish the whole basement, I decided to let Jerry's do the work. I negotiated the price down a bit from the original estimate. Two weeks later the guys showed up and finished in one day.

+ -1 moreOverall, some might say I am just choosing to listen to the more positive company as the other entity told me it would be a minimum of $1600 to "fix" my basement. However, based on my own research, the situation itself and what Mike/Mark told me, I feel very confident that I was completely snowed by the other company. Luckily, they are not listed on Angie's List so no one has to deal with them. If I do have additional problems arise, I will definitely contact Jerry's to give me an estimate and do the work.
Description of Work: I emailed Jerry's after having another basement waterproofing company come to my house and give me their speel. I received a call the next day from Mike or Mark (So sorry I can't recall). He said that based on my email describing the issues I had and what the other company had told me, he disagreed. He was very informative on what types of flooring work best in a basement, the general water issues experienced in my area, and some things to check on, look into further. He answered all my questions and didn't get too techy and he didn't make me feel as if anything I was asking was dumb. As a single female, this is not always easy to find. He didn't offer me anything to buy, but did offer his services if the things I checked on would indeed need to be fixed. I have no doubt had I urged, he would have made a visit, but after speaking with him, I felt confident I didn't need that. This saved me having to take off work, etc., which I appreciated.

+ 0 moreEstimator came to evaluate our water problem. At first he thought it could be a simple solution with our drain pipe, he had that altered. A very rainy couple weeks proved that that was not the source of our problem. He came out promptly when I called and determined we would need a sump pump and drain system. He even made a second call when I told him the situation was more serious than we thought. He made adjustments to his plan and estimate and we were able to stay on the schedule arranged by the office. They came out as planned, did exactly what they said and charged exactly what he estimated. I called again when I wasn't happy with how the pumps drained into my yard. Estimator came again and we agreed on how it could be resolved and how much it would cost. The office called with the date and time, the worker showed up and completed the task exactly as agreed on.
Description of Work: Complete waterproofing system in basement with trenches and two sump pumps. The company did everything they said they would do on schedule. The estimator came back promptly when I had questions. Knowledgeable estimator and supervisors, good workers. The only thing they didn't do was cover some items in my basement to shield them from the construction dust. I would've done it myself if I had thought of it or it was suggested to me. Excellent company. Would highly recommend.

+ -1 moreThe men that came were quite responsive to our needs. They knew just what the problem was and fixed it very quickly. They cleaned up after themselves very well and the price was really good considering what they had to do. I was also impressed by the fact that they called me back so quickly when I had a question.
Description of Work: We had a sump pump that went on the blink and they replaced it by taking the old pump and discarding it when they left.
