Description of Work: We had a basement room water issue twice and Chris came both times on a weekend to help clean up and assess the water problem. He spent several days with us and did an excellent job finding the water source, drying and cleaning out the area, replacing carpet pad and carpet plus put us in touch with the people who will now be fixing the issue. We were very comfortable with him and his professionalism. He knows what he is doing and he knows who to call. We would recommend him for sure!

Description of Work: I was looking at purchasing a home and called innovative for a quote on removing flooring, treating subfloor and baseboards for cat urine, putting down a protective barrier (kilz type) and then upgrading flooring. I ended up not buying that home, but the quote came in great and the professionalism was superb. I even compared remarks of the treatment process to someone who does the same type of work in another state and he told me that the process was correct and the quote was much cheaper than he would do it!

Description of Work: Removed carpet, pad, tack strip, and old VCT tile from lower level family room. He also removed the VCT tile from the laundry room and scraped up the adhesive residue. He tore out all drywall and old insulation on the 3 exterior walls, sealed cracks in block and installed two types of new insulation in the walls, and also around the window where no insulation had ever been. Treated the concrete floor for mold, filed in all cracks and holes and applied two coats of sealer in preparation for carpet. Chris is meticulous about his work and pays attention to detail, even noticing things that are not related to what he is working on.

Description of Work: Basement carpet needed re-stretching. The job turned out to be more involved than I had anticipated. But this was not a problem for Chris. He is very knowledgeable and displayed much skill in what had to do to get all the wrinkles out. My carpet looks brand new again! Most impressive what Chris' commitment to do my work on the day he had promised. His work day had become more involved and delayed than planned with another customer. But he phoned me several times to update about his anticipated arrival time and if it was still okay to come late in the day because he knew that getting the my job done was important for me.

Description of Work: Chris replaced carpet patches that the cat had clawed up. He used a piece we had and took some out of the back of a closet where it won't be seen to use for replacement pieces. He did a great job and it looks good as new.

 + -1 moreChris installed the carpets in four bedrooms and our basement. Chris was on time and very professional. Because we had a tight time-frame to work around (we were moving into a vacant home and had a week to do the paint and carpet before the movers were scheduled), Chris shifted his schedule so the job would be done before we moved in. When Chris discovered black mold in the basement - he probably saved me a $1,000 by handling the mold remediation himself. Chris' company also handles flood restoration and mold remediation. He did a very professional job getting rid of the mold - he had the necessary tools, chemicals and safety equipment to handle and dispose of the mold properly. Since Chris had to cut away some of the drywall to get at the leaky pipe - he had to call in a drywall company and a plumber. They were at our house within two days and the problem was fixed and the costs were reasonable (well, for the drywall - I think plumbers are expensive no matter who you call) So, not only is Chris excellent at carpet installation, he was very proactive in solving our mold problem. He was very attuned to our needs
Description of Work: Carpet installation. At the recommendation of Chris, we purchased our carpet at Smart choice carpet outlet and had Chris do the install. This turned out to be a winning combination - Purchasing at Smart Choice and using Chris for the install turned out to be less cost than what the other carpet retailer in town was quoting. Chris tore up old carpet in four bedrooms and our finished basement. He then painted all the floors with Kilz to mitigate any odors. He sprayed the baseboards and replaced bad tackship. As Chris was doing the basement, he discovered some black mold on the baseboard from a leaky pipe in the walls (the house had been distressed prior to our purchase). Chris did a professional job mitigating the mold and his cost was very reasonable.

 + 0 moreChris from Innovative did a fantastic job. He stretched the carpet in a large living room and a long hallway. In the living room he pulled 4" plus from one side and a couple inches from the other because the builder had done such a poor job laying the carpet. The carpet looks so much better now that the large humps are out of it. In the hallway due to he size, all the door ways, and the layout (there is a landing area at the top of the stairs which creates a large open area outside of the master bedroom) Chris took the slack out by re-doing the seam. His seam looks far better than whoever laid the carpet originally. Its barely visible if you know where it is compared to the other seams in our house which stick out like a sore thumb. Finally, Chris was both professional and personable. We chatted the entire time he did one room and then my father and I moved furniture back in and hooked up the A/V system while he did the hallway. He did such a good job and wen the extra mile to do the job right that I gave him a tip even though he insisted the original estimate was a fair price. I would highly recommend Innovative Floors.
Description of Work: Chris from Innovative Floors re-stretched the carpet in two rooms to remove large humps that had developed. He nailed down the tack strips which were shoddily stapled down by the budget builder and did a very precise job doing any patching he had to do as a result of the stretching (e.g. the vent holes were moved by 4" due to how loose the carpet was.

We offer furniture moving and removal of old flooring and haul away as well, on every job. We have been asked many times to install turf on indoor and outdoor putting greens, so we do that too. And we will do campers, boats, cars, flooring. If you need turf on your porch or deck, we can also do that.
We do not offer carpet, grout, or furniture cleaning. We also do not install or refinish hardwood floors.
