George Novak Spa & Pool Services

Very friendly and professional. He drove out to our farm which is about 30 miles outside of Omaha. George arrived on time. Seemed very knowledgeable. Although he found that the hot tub was unusable, he suggested we sell it for parts and recommended a price range for listing it.

I had contacted the pool and spa company that we purchased the hot tub from and got no response. The first time I had to leave a message with the service department and they didn't return my call so I called and spoke to someone in the office who said he would have them call me. When they still didn't, I searched on Angies list and found George Novak Spa & Pool Services. Mr. Novak was willing to come out the next day, a Saturday, but we had to be gone so he said he would come on Sunday (Palm Sunday even!) He diagnosed the problem and started the process to repair a leak in the system; returned the following day (yesterday) and again today to complete the process. Mr. Novak was very easy to work with, explained where the leak was coming from, and completed the job and charged a very reasonable fee for his work. I will gladly call him again if we ever experience a problem with our hot tub and would highly recommend him to anyone who had a similar problem.

He was very upfront and honest that because we don't have gas, it would be very expensive to use an electric heater. He offered some other suggestions and then also answered some questions I had about opening our pool (over the winter our tarp ripped and we had more of a pond than a pool at the moment!). He didn't have to give this advice but he did and if I have an opportunity to use him in the future, I will certainly give him a call.

I was very pleased with George. He arrived on time for both service calls and was very polite and courteous. Both times he gave me a very accurate estimate of what the work would cost. He told me he has been working on hot tubs for 15 yrs. and it was very evident as he seemed to know everything about them. The above price included two trips. The first was to fix a leak, which he did by replacing the gasket in the heater. He also replaced the pressure sensor for the heater. The second trip, I had him replace the top side control, fix a leaky motor and clean out the circulation pump. The total for the two trips was $520.00 and that included the $250 top side control and $50 pressure sensor. My hot tub is 13 yrs old and I will be using George again when I need any repairs. I would highly recommend him.

George was efficient, knowledgable and professional. We set up a day for him to come to the house and he was there, on time and got right down to business. I just called him and scheduled the closing of my pool for the year. Very happy with his services! I highly recommend his services.

I have been trying for a month to get someone to come out to my home in the country. I got him as a referral on Angie's List. Called him last night and he said he would be out at 11 am the next day. It was a 40+ mile drive for him. He showed up on time and went right to work. I was impressed with his attention to detail and his recommendations to prevent similar situations. His overall cost was half of the estimate trip and labor cost of the spa dealer 20 miles away plus their parts costs. I would not hesitate to have people call him.

I reached George on my first call and he was able to come to my home the next day to repair our leak. George is a very conscience worker. When he first arrived he said he would walk around to the back of the house so he wouldn't track any mud through it. He got right to work and efficiently evaluated the situation and was happy to explain things to me. George was very friendly and knowledgable and I was very happy with his work. I will definitely call him again should I need any more repairs to my hot tub.

He fixed a leak in my hot tub

Shorter version: George replaced the main pump (hot tub) that had seized bearings (just made a loud 60hz buzzing sound when I tried to turn it on). He also replaced the wet end of the secondary pump that was working, but was tripping the thermal breaker because it had been mismatched. Apparently the pump was too big for wet end which caused cavitation, making the pump work harder and ultimately tripping the thermal breaker. Longer version: George came out, did a thorough inspection, tested a few things and made his recommendations, which I went with. He then ordered the pumps from an out-of-state vendor, which took about 6 days to arrive (saving me a bunch of money). George suggested going with a smaller, more energy efficient pumps, which he said would push the same amount of water as the less-efficient bigger pumps. George was right. 6 days later, he came out exactly when he said he would (actually arrived an hour early and started work, since he thought my job might take longer than expected), worked for most of the morning on the pumps, and when he was done, everything just worked. I suspect that I would have spent as much or more trying to fix the tub myself. I certainly didn't know about mismatched pumps, and definitely would have tried to buy another monster pump that wasted a bunch of electricity, so George actually made my hot tub better and more efficient. He was very thorough and took great care in everything he did. I think that George's company is just George, so if his life is full when you call, it may take a day or two for him to get back to you. And unless you absolutely need him right away (the hot tub is dead and it's -10 degrees outside), he's worth the wait.

George was hard to get in touch with at first, but after he arrived he did an excellent job and was fair with his pricing. His availability was excellent I would recommend him.

My spa started leaking from the pump impeller area and I called Mr. Novak about looking at it...he quoted me a couple prices and offered to come by the very next day! To my surprise he called detailing what it would take to fix it, repaired it, left the busted part for inspection and then, knowing it was well after payday, allowed me to pay on the first of the month. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing pool or spa repair!

George Novak is very knowledgeable in spa chemistry and up-keep. He gave me a complete lesson in how to keep and care for this new item in our lives. 1. He arrives ON TIME. 2. He's very professional and stays on track ~ 3. He's very mindful of my home in keeping unnecessary water and dirt outside. 3.5 George arrives completely equipped to do the job at hand. 4. He's very kind in GIVING INSTRUCTION ! George is a scientist and knows his business. 5. After his first appointment, he return in one week with everything we needed to maintain the and quot;healthand quot; of the spa. 6. George is a very nice man !

The price included the part. He didn't charge for the first visit, even when he was here for an hour and a half. I thought that was nice on his part. He then went online to do some research about what part would work for the hot tub. Then he called me with an estimate, and gave me a couple of options about the parts and the cost to replace it. He was very conscientious as far as the price was concerned.
